    HOTEL LUCERNA CULIACAN
    My family and I arrived on our scheduled night only so they could try to put us in a smoking floor/room. I had requested a non-smoking room/floor and the staff was unable to comply and was simply told that the rooms were on a first come first serve basis. I explained to them that my first night was guaranteed (to be charged to my credit card) and that they also had an obligation to fulfill theirs. We had no choice but to leave and try to find accomodations for the night. We have stayed there before and had no problems at all but for some reason they were not able to meet our expectations this time around. You would think that if you do not cancel prior to the 24 hours this would an indication that you plan on arriving and thus would mean they would set your room aside or at least guarantee them that the room would be paid for whether you show up or not. Maybe I don't understand hotel protocol....More
