Would recomend this hotel if you want a good night sleep, it is away from the noise of Dublin, however if you want something in close proximitey of Temple Bar and Grafton Street this would not be the place to stay. It is a nice place for the price....MoreHotels.com guest on November-28

Clontarf Castle Hotel
This hotel was an outstanding choice for the last night of our Irish driving vacation. When we pulled in, we were tired and grubby, so it was delightful to arrive to a great shower and a huge, plush bed. Built around a former castle, the hotel has a lot of character, and management provides a comprehensive history of the site. Today it's a stylish, modern hotel, popular for weddings, with three distinct bars/restaurants that serve very good food. As others have said, you probably wouldn't want to stay here if going to Dublin city center every day was your goal. But if you've already done the Dublin thing and want to experience a lovely seaside neighborhood, this is the place.
