    Mantra on Queen
We only stayed two nights at the Mantra to have a peek at Brisbane on the way back from an extended trip. The hotel was within walking distance to the riverfront and the Queen's Mall and if you wanted to walk a bit further you could take the bridge over to South Bank which we did. We had room 805 and it was clean, bright, and comfortable. There was a fridge, iron, hairdryer, and a washer / dryer combo in a foyer which split rooms 805 and 806. This came in handy for some clothes we had to wash but it took a long time for a wash and dry cycle to complete. The bed was comfortable and although I would not say the room was overly large it was enough for my wife, child, and myself. The receptionist was excellent at all times and gave us pointers and a map on the city. The only negative was the entrance to the hotel was somewhat hidden from Queen Street being around the corner behind a car rental ageny and on our initial arrival the taxi driver had to ask someone at the rental agency how to get in. We never tried the gym so couldn't comment on that. Internet access was at charge, I believe .55 cents a minute, so we didn't bother. All up, a good hotel for your money....More
