Albahia
The Albahia is not "located next to the sandy beach." If you walk straight out to the water, there are huge stacked rocks with no swimming access, and if you walk down the street, there is the tiny beach which about 10 people could fit on, surrounded by high-rise apartment buildings, some undergoing construction. The front desk told us upon check-in that if the nearby beaches are too full, you can pay 1 euro each way to take a tram to the larger town beach. We were extremely disappointed, as we had chosen this hotel thinking it was right on a nice beach, and paid plenty for that. The only positive thing I can say is that our family room was a good size. However, the air conditioning didn't work (on a hot August day), we had a broken window, and we had to look past bars on the window, graffiti, parking/storage garages, cement, and dumpsters to see the ocean. Their "fully equipped business centre" consists of an out-of-order phone and a single dial-up computer in the lobby which staff admits is "hit or miss" if it works. Dinner in the restaurant had deplorable service. We left after one night and are fighting to get refunded for the second night....More
