Located near the center of historic downtown Vitoria, the center of all Basque activity, the hotel is a marvelous convenient modern well lighted hotel that has safe well lighted parking under the hotel. Reception was excellent and the personnel were all helpful and nice. The rooms were open, well lighted,with large towels, soaps and dryers for the hair. The tv's are all thin and large screened but carry mostly the Spanish themes. The hotel sits near the parque (park) and the scene is unusually quiet at nite. There is a large bar area (Prince Wellington) and a smaller bar and table area nearby for coffee and leche (milk), as well as an array of pastry, food orders,like hamburgers and baquettes with meat/cheese, all at a reasonable price of no more than 25E for five. A word of caution: prices are higher during the week, as people from the outlying areas stay in the hotels during the week..the prices jump about 40-50 percent and anyone without reservations will pay the price....More
