    Hotel Kazimierz II
Hotel Kazimierz II is located on a main street on the edge of the old Jewish community of Kazimierz. A two minute walk gets you to the Old Town area and about a fifteen minute walk leads to the center of town. The desk staff is truly an asset - helpful and friendly. Ask for a quiet room on the side or in the back since the noisy trams pass in front of the hotel. The breakfast is very nice, with a good variety of treats. Remember to ask for your scrampled eggs! The negative about the room is the strange bedding (comforter?) and rough towels in the bathroom. We arrived by train from Warsaw and hopped a tram (#13 or #34 will work) which was only three stops to the hotel. The Polish people were among the friendliest we have met. You can eat right in Kazimierz. Our favorite was the restaurant U Dorothea (sp?) where a meal of meat, potato, and vegetable, with beer cost about $10. The double deck (on and off) bus was a real value for a two day pass and provided interesting commentary and museum admission. Don't miss the Salt Mine and the amazing underground city there. Overall, Hotel Kazimierz II is an excellent hotel for value, friendly staff and location!...More

    Mamaison Hotel Le Regina
Le Regina, Warsaw, lived up to its reviews and advertisement: boutique hotel, very comfortable and quiet, excellent service, simple and elegant decor although somewhat cold. Good location for historic atmosphere. Surprised that new luxury bathroom showed some mold in caulking and grout in shower area. Clock on TV too far from bed. Expensive breakfast and nothing else open early: room rate was especially low and so breakfast was not included....More

    Hotel Rialto
Unfortunately, due to a clerical error, our reservation was marked for a month earlier than our actual arrival date. Fortunately, I always travel with my confirmation documents and they were most helpful in relocating us to another 5 star hotel in Warsawa. The front desk staff was very helpful and apologetic for the error. They fed us while we waited for a taxi and sent us off in a prepaid taxi with a bottle of wine and CD. Errors happen and the staff dealt with it in a very friendly and professional manner....More
