Congress Hotel
Hotel staff spoke English and were very accommodating. We changed the first room they gave us because it was on the sunny side and too hot since there's no air conditioning. They gave us a fan as well. Location is good although it is not within Old Town itself. It's approximately a 10 minute walk. We arrived by bus at the Main Bus Station in Vilnius and it cost about 7 US dollars for a taxi to the hotel. A ride to the airport on public transportation would have involved a trolley car to the bus station, then a bus to the airport - rather complicated with luggage. Taxi to the airport cost about 12 us dollars, there was no airport shuttle bus....More

The Congress Hotel is in a beautiful, convenient location.Unfortunately, during the recent heat wave, we had to leave the windows open at night as there is no air conditioning. The noise from the busy intersection kept me up all night....More
