The hotel was inexpensive, fortunately, and all the more unusual since it's so close to the airport, but the shuttle wasn't very user friendly. I wondered at one point if the taxi desk was inside the door in hopes people would get fed up waiting for the shuttle and pay too much for a taxi to the airport. I would definitely recommend the Cairo Marriot. It's great value for money. Our room was comfortable. If you can get a room in the Executive Suites, it gives you access to another private restaurant on the 18th floor of the hotel. You can go up there and read the paper, great views of the nile and have breakfast too. Great gym that is open 24 hours a day, with a fantastic pool too. The staff were courteous and the food was good value for money. There were about 6 restaurants on site too, so you certainly have plenty of choice. The city is very dirty, hotels are not the place to scrimp on and we were certainly very happy that we choose this one!...MoreHotels.com guest on June-02
