Cataract Pyramids Resort
Once upon a time, the Cataract Pyramids Hotel was probably a very nice hotel. That is no longer the case. I arrived very early in the morning after a 24 hour-plus trip, only to find there were no towels in the room. The bathroom was fundamentally dirty, and the water that came from the sink and tub was - no joke - brown. I was scheduled for a three-night stay, and on the morning of the second day (at 6:15A) a bell person woke me up asking me for my luggage; and was not exactly apologetic for the mistake. The beds were just adequate, and the restaurants did not allow guests to take food to their rooms - of any kind. It is also in an area that is far from most other places one might want to go to, and the traffic there can become exceptionally congested. On the positive side, the most of the people working there were very pleasant and accommodating, and the pool was great. I travel to Egypt regularly and this was my first and last stay at this place. Moevenpick Hotel Cairo-Media City
The hotel is far from Cairo City Center but if you want to relax away from all the noise then this hotel will be for you! I took my wife and son and we had a good time at the 2 amusement parks that were close by. The hotel has just about everything but for a price. Expensive! I would recommend staying at a cheaper hotel closer to everything. You can't experience Cairo in Media city!...More

The hotel has a great location, however, the rooms and beds are not comfortable and very small... Bath room is extreemly small. More like a 3 star hotel......More
