Hotel Santo Tomas
The hotel itself was not bad. The rooms were nice, the pool, patio and restaurant were nice. Trying to find the place even in the middle of the day was a nightmare. I can't imagine finding it at night. The one way streets and lack of street signs in San Jose made it very difficult to find on an off the beaten path street. I guess it might be okay to stay at if you are arriving via taxi or bus and they know where the hotel is....More

Barcelo San Jose Palacio
San Jose Palacio is centrally located between the airport ( free shuttle pick up as well)and downtown san jose .. the hotel has a great breakfast buffet every morning ( included), very nice pool & lobby atmosphere .. Service can be a little slow and laid back - but otherwise a bargain for the low price paid for the height of the winter season .. great clubs in san jose .. beware of price gouging and tourist traps that are looking to raise prices on taxi's, food and merchandise for americans ......More

Hotel Poseidon
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The hotel staff was extremely accomidating and helpful, with great personalities. The resurant and bar served good food and drinks, and the location was ideal...just a few steps to the beach....More
