    Tulip Inn Presidente
Great hotel. Rooms are tiny but the neighborhood is great. Plenty of restaurants near by and there is a free breakfast. Nearest metro stop is only a block and half away. Hotel staff go above and beyond to satisfy every need. Aside from the room size, there is not a thing wrong with this place....More

    Best Western Los Espanoles
Los Espanoles was around long before its association with Best Western. The hotel is tucked in a residential neighborhood one block from Rio Mapocho and walking distance to endless restaurants, shops, San Cristobal, and the Metro. According to a tour guide we hired, it is one of the best neighborhoods in Santiago. It is also walking distance from the World Trade Center and the US Embassy. The service is excellent and most of the staff speak English. They are very helpful with directions and suggestions and are accommodating with checkout times and car hires. The hotel will provide transportation to and from the airport for about $40 US, each way. Keep in mind, however, the car is typically a small sedan (one of ours was a Kia), so it may be ambitious to try to fit four people with large bags. The rooms are on the small side but the showers were hot and well pressurized. I would recommend asking for a room with an A/C unit, if that's something your concerned about (one of our rooms had one and the other didn't). The hotel has two computers with internet access, a printer/scanner, a bar, a restaurant, and access to a gym down the street. The restaurant's food is tasty, however, they were out of the ostrich, which I was looking forward to. Don't let the fact that it's a Best Western make you think that it's much (North) Americanized. The amenities and the service are great and it also retains the South American boutique feel....More
