Windsor Palace Hotel

Marina Palace Hotel
The staff at the front desk was exceptional in terms of suggesting activities, asking whether we were pleased with our stay and helping with transportation. Housekeeping was very responsive. Beach situation was terrific---great beach with a staff to provide chairs, towels and umbrellas.
Our room was acceptable, not great. Basically it was very worn---bed covers and sham pillow were seedy. Bathroom was in dire need of remodeling. But the shower head was phenomenal. They showed us "newly remodeled" rooms but the rate was considerably more ($50 per day more).
Also, you can't beat the location. The view from our room was awesome.
Only one big disappointment was that when we booked the hotel we were told our rate did NOT include breakfast and that the charge to include breakfast was significant. We chose not to pay extra for breakfast. When we were checking out the staff informed us that our rate did include a full buffet breakfast, which of course we did not use. That was a considerable frustration since we went out each morning to get a separate breakfast. The hotel did not mention it to us when we checked in. But hotels.com also made it clear that our booking did not cover breakfast. So the responsibility does not rest with the hotel.
We would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to others with the caveat about the worn conditions of the rooms that have not been remodeled....More
