    Sheraton Barra Hotel & Suites
    Nice hotel, nice neighborhood, nice staff. BAD little far from Rio's Main attractions, carpets really stinks, and the rate we got from hotels.com didn't include breakfast....More

    Tryp Tatuape
    I picked this hotel for a one-day layover while traveling on to Salvador. The hotel was nice and clean and I was able to check in early. The staff was friendly and very helpful, almost all knew English. The hotel does not have a shuttle service and cab fare is about R$70, which is kind of expensive. There was also not much to do in the immediate area of the hotel. I was tired from the 9.5 hour plane ride and was hoping for something to do without having to get a cab and drive all over, but there wasn't much to do right there. I would recommend this hotel is you knew of something in that section of Sao Paulo (the city is huge) or didn't mind getting a cab everytime you wanted to do anything at all....More

    Windsor Excelsior Hotel
    This hotel is right on the Copacabana beach and three blocks from a metro stop. The hotel staff was very efficient and helpful, the room was clean with a very comfortable bed, LCD TV, and nice bathroom - but no tub if you care about that. Unlike many non-US hotels, the room A/C worked very well. On the roof was a nice swimming pool and bar with a gorgeous view of the beach area. The hotel also had a tent on the beach with towels, etc. Hotel restaurant was very good, both for the included buffet breakfast and dinner....More
