    Hibiscus Beach Pousada
    The location and view were outstanding, but the bungalow needed improvement. The bed was nothing more than a futon. It was two pieces, so every time my partner and I were in the bed together, the two halves separated. There were ants and all kinds of creepy bugs everywhere, but they did not bite. I have a problem with squishy soft toilet seats. The shower head had black slime growing on it. But otherwise the location was excellent, breakfast (included with the cost of the room) was excellent....More

    Mar Ipanema Hotel
    I chose this this hotel for it's good location- a couple blocks from the beach, in the center of Ipanema. The rooms were a bit plain and small, but were very clean. Overall, I'd have to say what I remember most from my stay there was the staff's dedication to good customer experience. This was also true of the in-house restaurant. The waiter was very pleasant and my dinner was both a good value and well prepared....More
