Grape Bay Beach Hotel
We loved our stay at Grape Bay. The beach was great and really close to the hotel... and practically empty during the week. We had the whole beach to ourselves for a few hours! The hotel was nice, but nothing to write home about. The resturant being closed was a bit of a nuisance, but it did force us to go into Hamilton, which was surely worth it! All in all, GBBH was awesome for the money, considering it was half the price of all the other beach front hotels we were looking at....More

Elbow Beach
Hotel was fine and as expected for the Elbow
Unfortunately I was attending a business conference and the hotel's wifi was down for the two days I was there.
Hotel had "courtesy" computers in the lobby but they were older Pentium 4s and firewalled against file downloads by my corporate system as "remote computer is too public"
The front desk said they were aware of the problem and tried to get IT to help me but the Hotel IT never responded.
Nice beach though!...More

9 Beaches
Being at 9 Beaches remided me of being at camp! The cabanas are made of canvas and you need to walk aways to get to the front desk and the parking area. But the beaches are right there! and they arent overly crowded.
Make sure you get a cabana away from the farm! When we first got to the hotel we were put in cabana 84. It was right along side the goat farm and we could smell manure. We called the front desk and said "we came here to smell the ocean, not cow manure!"
We were told that they couldnt move us until the next day. They moved us to cabana 59 the next afternoon and we were beyond thrilled with the location!
The grounds of 9 Beaches needed to be groomed, and I think they were understaffed at the restaurants cause everyone seemed overwhelmed.
The dockyards were a 20 minute scooter ride away and Hamilton was 45 minutes away.
We spent a very relaxing 4 nights at 9 Beaches and are looking forward to visiting again....More
