"Spacious room with a great ocean view"
We enjoyed the hospitality with the owners, the great breakfasts and the hot tub and everything was clean and well maintained.Genuine Expedia guest review
The host did a great job and the breakfast was awesome. If your planning a trip around this area I would defintely reccommend staying at 4 beaches.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
An excellent b&b across all aspects. Pat and Allison are excellent hosts with great knowledge of Sooke area and Vancouver Island. BREAKFASTS WERE EXCELLENT!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Incredible View/Amazing Food!!!!!!"
Perhaps the full moon shining across Juan de Fuca Strait, silhouette by the Olympic Mountains, as viewed from our immensely comfortable, high thread count sheeted bed profoundly affected our impression of 4 Beaches B & B. Or perhaps it was the gourmet style breakfasts, or the lovliness of Pat and Alison. An immensely enjoyable and relaxing interlude […] for my husband and myself ensued. Must return, as we did not have the chance to do the hot tub!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
4 beaches B&B is an outstanding B&B and is really nice located right outside Sooke. The breakfast was delicious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Warm host, excellent facilities, close to Nature"
An excellent place to spend a few days very close to the beaches of the West Coast Trail.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A very pleasant and comfortable B&B. Alison and Pat were very friendly hosts, even providing some evening sandwiches after I arrived too tired to go back to town for dinner. (The B&B is 5km out of town, so it may be a good idea to have dinner before arrival). Excellent breakfast and pleasant company from other guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, friendly and awesome views"
Sooke is a beautiful part of Canada. So if you are planning to visit Sooke, I would recommend this B&B.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best B&B ever"
We loved every minute of our stay. Pat & Alison are perfect hosts and even though they've only been in the area a short time, had a comprehensive knowledge of where to go and things to do. Pat is a trained chef and consequently the breakfasts were beyond compare. He rotates through ten different and delicious breakfast menus so for our nine night stay, […] we had different meals every morning; each one a winner. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the common area is homey but luxurious. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Personable B & B"
Our hosts made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The breakfast was gourmet in all senses of the word...croissants fresh from the oven, homemade preserves, eggs bennie! And the hot tub was the perfect relaxation needed after riding the Galloping Goose. Thanks you.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice B and B"
Owners warm and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was beyond expectation...amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful hosts with a superb breakfast"
4 Beaches have worked hard to give their guests a fantastic stay. The rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was superb. Alison and Pat really took the time and effort to get to know their guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best B&B in Canada"
We stayed 2 nights in Sooke and it was the best B&B we had ever been, now we still miss the beautiful view and breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to expolore south coast"
Alison & Pat make you feel home in an beautiful environment: nature, house and rooms. Our room (and bathroom) was very clean and well equipped. It included a welcome bottle of red wine and a personal greeting card. Living room on upper floor is very spacious with great sea view. Hot tub is available. Breakfast was very delicious (incl. home-made marmelades) […] with varying offers on our two mornings at this home. This home is perfectly located to explore Vancouver Island south coast up to Port Renfrew with several great beaches. We should have planned for a longer stay since Sooke also has to offer several points to visit, such as hot tubs and again nice beaches. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Peaceful, stunning views"

For our 45th Anniversary, a perfect choice of location. The hosts went above and beyond to create a memorable night for us. From the truly exceptional presentation of breakfast to all the extras they included. Their tips of local hikes, beach walks and fun eateries, including Shirley Delicious (which you should not miss) in the village of Shirley, 20 min. away, we loved it. We would not hesitate to recommended this quiet, very clean, friendly B and B.
"Excellent all around!"

My daughter and I enjoyed a 2 night getaway at this very clean and well run B&B. Pat and Alison are excellent hosts: friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and spacious (we were in the room with twin beds) and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning at a beautifully set table with other guests. The location is just outside of Sooke which kept us close to restaurant choices for dinner to the east and a great spot to start hiking on the Juan De Fuca hiking trail a short drive to the west. We were greeted with afternoon snacks and coffee/tea. There is a large common area for watching TV, puzzles or playing the piano! I would recommend this place!
"A great choice!"

Pat and Alison run a very friendly B & B just outside of Sooke. The breakfasts were super delicious and expect to be stuffed each day. The room we booked faced the ocean. It was equipped with everything you will need. The hottub was welcoming after a day of exploring the local beaches. Yes, we'd return for sure!
"Fine Arts Catering"
01/20/15 Sooke_Fine_Arts_Show Sooke, Canada
We'd like to point out on top being gracious hosts, by many accounts, the Hogans are also talented chefs! 4 Beaches catered the Sooke Fine Arts Show's 2014 Artists Celebration, a gala event with an estimated 450 guests, including exhibiting artists, sponsors, and private donors: We have never had stronger, more positive reviews of the event's food! Pat and Alison provided hors d'oeuvres that were thoughtful, well-presented, and absolutely delicious. As one of Sooke's largest summer events (going 29 years strong), SFAS carries a high level of standard for catered special events. Pat struck the perfect balance for this event, offering: Roasted Vegetable Tapenade Crostini ~~~~~~ Braised Pork Roll ~~~~~~ Fingerling Cup of Smoked Salmon Mousse ~~~~~~~ Panko Prawns with Bacon Aioli ~~~~~~ Grape Cherry Caprese ~~~~~~~ Chicken Skewers and Sweet Chili Sauce ~~~~~~~ Gorganzola and Arugula Crostini The Hogans also pride themselves on sourcing locally--this comes much appreciated as a harbourside community. Obviously, our staff can't speak directly to the overnight stay (since we all live in town), but we can assure you, if you stay at 4 Beaches, your palettes will not be disappointed! Thank you, Hogans! You are truly a welcome addition to Sooke.

My partner and I stayed at 4Beaches in the Sandcut Suite for two nights and loved it. Allison and Pat are amazing hosts who had lots of recommendations on what to see in the area, and the location of the B&B is great with a number of beautiful beaches within short driving distance and a view of the ocean from the room and from the breakfast table. Our room was large and lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Allison and Pat even offered a number of vegan breakfast items. The house has a large living room that the guests can use with tea, coffee and sweets available all day, and there is a hot tub outside. I would highly recommend staying at 4beaches, and I hope we'll have a chance to return in the future. Thanks again, Allison and Pat!
"A very nice stay with excellent breakfast"

Found a promotion for a two night stay in late November. Booking the reservation was easy and we were only asked when we would arrive as the owners work and may be out. We were warmly welcomed and shown around the place, made welcome to use the living room upstairs and the hot tub. The promised amenities where there. Room was very nice and modern but an armchair or small loveseat would have been nice. Breakfast is a highlight. It's a two-course affair - different courses every day - with lots of bread and pastries. Very nicely made and presented.

My husband found a good Travel Zoo promo rate for 2 nights in the off season at the 4 Beaches B&B in Sooke, so we booked 2 mid-week nights in late November. The house is up a kind of steep driveway a few km past Sooke. We checked in between 4 and 6pm and were greeted warmly and generously by Alison. She showed us around the house and introduced us to their friendly dog Shilo. We were given the Mystic Beach Room, ocean facing (across-the-road) queen room, just to the left side when you come in the front door on the ground floor. It's a nice, large room with queen sleigh bed, small table with 2 chairs, dresser with stool, small closet and a generous sized bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a large window looking out across the front yard, across West Coast Road, through the power lines and then to the water. I was expecting a beach theme (from the name of the B&B and the rooms) which it wasn't but it was nicely appointed. We were very kindly left a bottle of wine, a small cheese plate and a welcome card. The second evening we were left a small plate of chocolate truffles. The provided wifi worked well through out the house and in the room. The towels and linens on the bed are of good quality. The bed is very comfortable with ample pillows and a lovely duvet. The closed window is very good at sound proofing noise from the road traffic. There is a standing fan in the closet that could be used in summer. This room sits directly under the kitchen so you do hear normal kitchen noises in the evening and in the morning as well as some foot and paw steps from above. The room was very quiet for sleeping between 11pm and 7am. It's very nice that there are no common walls with the other guest rooms just the common space of the main door to the front and the guest door to the side of the room. You can come and go as you please via the front and/or side doors. Each room seems to have a separate little outdoor space to use with more agreeable weather. Upstairs is a large, comfortable, common great room for guest use with a nice assortment of welcoming drinks and baked goods. It has modern, comfortable furniture, a few magazines, a TV and a lovely warm stove in the back corner to warm up by. On the back deck is a good sized hot tub (very hot!) which we enjoyed the first evening and the next afternoon after hiking (pool towels provide in your room). Breakfast is served here according to a rotating menu and was prepared by Alison on both our mornings. Day 1 was fizzy grapefruit drink, fresh fruit, bread basket & conserves, french toast taster, scrambled eggs with crispy bacon & fried potatoes, and day 2 was fizzy peach drink, bread basket, fruit & conserves, fruit and yogurt parfait, eggs Benny with a browned Hollindaise sauce - everything was excellent and served in a pleasant atmosphere in the company of Alison and other guests of the night. The location is very convenient to Sooke and a great base from which to explore the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail from Sooke to Port Renfrew.

Lovely November weekend with gracious Alison, Pat, dog Shilo in their spacious B and B. Great spot, great folks, great food. This was so good that I'm of mixed minds about letting everyone know about Sooke, the Hogans, and 4 Beaches. We'll be back again.

We got a last minute booking for this lovely B and B and we were delighted as soon as we arrived and were welcomed both by Alisonpersonally and with a card in our rooms . We had a very comfortable room and were thrilled with the upstairs room which we were told was for the visitors use. Coffee, teas, cold drinks and biscuits were all available, as was the use of a hot tub and a big verandah. We ate out that evening in Sooke, after Alison had made a reservation for us, at a lovely local restaurant. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit with yoghurt followed by Pat's version of eggs Benedict. We four sat around a large table with four other guests and enjoyed a very companiable time. We were sorry to leave after our short stay, but would certainly return to Alison and Pat's wonderful home, should we ever be on Vancouver Island again. Thank you

We have just come from 2 nights at this wonderful B and B and feel relaxed and rested as if we had been away much longer. Pat and Alison are wonderful hosts; warm, friendly and happy to share local knowledge. We immediately felt like part of the family and certainly enjoyed their company and that of the other guests as we shared sumptuous breakfasts and a leisurely glass of wine overlooking the view of the water. Their home is clean and comfortable, the bed superb! There are lots of outdoor activities in the area to enjoy. Treat yourself to a time away in Sooke, BC
