The host did a great job and the breakfast was awesome. If your planning a trip around this area I would defintely reccommend staying at 4 beaches.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
An excellent b&b across all aspects. Pat and Allison are excellent hosts with great knowledge of Sooke area and Vancouver Island. BREAKFASTS WERE EXCELLENT!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Incredible View/Amazing Food!!!!!!"
Perhaps the full moon shining across Juan de Fuca Strait, silhouette by the Olympic Mountains, as viewed from our immensely comfortable, high thread count sheeted bed profoundly affected our impression of 4 Beaches B & B. Or perhaps it was the gourmet style breakfasts, or the lovliness of Pat and Alison. An immensely enjoyable and relaxing interlude […] for my husband and myself ensued. Must return, as we did not have the chance to do the hot tub!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
4 beaches B&B is an outstanding B&B and is really nice located right outside Sooke. The breakfast was delicious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

4 Beaches have worked hard to give their guests a fantastic stay. The rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was superb. Alison and Pat really took the time and effort to get to know their guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best B&B in Canada"
We stayed 2 nights in Sooke and it was the best B&B we had ever been, now we still miss the beautiful view and breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to expolore south coast"
Alison & Pat make you feel home in an beautiful environment: nature, house and rooms. Our room (and bathroom) was very clean and well equipped. It included a welcome bottle of red wine and a personal greeting card. Living room on upper floor is very spacious with great sea view. Hot tub is available. Breakfast was very delicious (incl. home-made marmelades) […] with varying offers on our two mornings at this home. This home is perfectly located to explore Vancouver Island south coast up to Port Renfrew with several great beaches. We should have planned for a longer stay since Sooke also has to offer several points to visit, such as hot tubs and again nice beaches. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My husband found a good Travel Zoo promo rate for 2 nights in the off season at the 4 Beaches B&B in Sooke, so we booked 2 mid-week nights in late November. The house is up a kind of steep driveway a few km past Sooke. We checked in between 4 and 6pm and were greeted warmly and generously by Alison. She showed us around the house and introduced us to their friendly dog Shilo. We were given the Mystic Beach Room, ocean facing (across-the-road) queen room, just to the left side when you come in the front door on the ground floor. It's a nice, large room with queen sleigh bed, small table with 2 chairs, dresser with stool, small closet and a generous sized bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean. There is a large window looking out across the front yard, across West Coast Road, through the power lines and then to the water. I was expecting a beach theme (from the name of the B&B and the rooms) which it wasn't but it was nicely appointed. We were very kindly left a bottle of wine, a small cheese plate and a welcome card. The second evening we were left a small plate of chocolate truffles. The provided wifi worked well through out the house and in the room. The towels and linens on the bed are of good quality. The bed is very comfortable with ample pillows and a lovely duvet. The closed window is very good at sound proofing noise from the road traffic. There is a standing fan in the closet that could be used in summer. This room sits directly under the kitchen so you do hear normal kitchen noises in the evening and in the morning as well as some foot and paw steps from above. The room was very quiet for sleeping between 11pm and 7am. It's very nice that there are no common walls with the other guest rooms just the common space of the main door to the front and the guest door to the side of the room. You can come and go as you please via the front and/or side doors. Each room seems to have a separate little outdoor space to use with more agreeable weather. Upstairs is a large, comfortable, common great room for guest use with a nice assortment of welcoming drinks and baked goods. It has modern, comfortable furniture, a few magazines, a TV and a lovely warm stove in the back corner to warm up by. On the back deck is a good sized hot tub (very hot!) which we enjoyed the first evening and the next afternoon after hiking (pool towels provide in your room). Breakfast is served here according to a rotating menu and was prepared by Alison on both our mornings. Day 1 was fizzy grapefruit drink, fresh fruit, bread basket & conserves, french toast taster, scrambled eggs with crispy bacon & fried potatoes, and day 2 was fizzy peach drink, bread basket, fruit & conserves, fruit and yogurt parfait, eggs Benny with a browned Hollindaise sauce - everything was excellent and served in a pleasant atmosphere in the company of Alison and other guests of the night. The location is very convenient to Sooke and a great base from which to explore the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail from Sooke to Port Renfrew.

Lovely November weekend with gracious Alison, Pat, dog Shilo in their spacious B and B. Great spot, great folks, great food. This was so good that I'm of mixed minds about letting everyone know about Sooke, the Hogans, and 4 Beaches. We'll be back again.

We got a last minute booking for this lovely B and B and we were delighted as soon as we arrived and were welcomed both by Alisonpersonally and with a card in our rooms . We had a very comfortable room and were thrilled with the upstairs room which we were told was for the visitors use. Coffee, teas, cold drinks and biscuits were all available, as was the use of a hot tub and a big verandah. We ate out that evening in Sooke, after Alison had made a reservation for us, at a lovely local restaurant. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit with yoghurt followed by Pat's version of eggs Benedict. We four sat around a large table with four other guests and enjoyed a very companiable time. We were sorry to leave after our short stay, but would certainly return to Alison and Pat's wonderful home, should we ever be on Vancouver Island again. Thank you

We have just come from 2 nights at this wonderful B and B and feel relaxed and rested as if we had been away much longer. Pat and Alison are wonderful hosts; warm, friendly and happy to share local knowledge. We immediately felt like part of the family and certainly enjoyed their company and that of the other guests as we shared sumptuous breakfasts and a leisurely glass of wine overlooking the view of the water. Their home is clean and comfortable, the bed superb! There are lots of outdoor activities in the area to enjoy. Treat yourself to a time away in Sooke, BC

We have been to several bed and breakfasts during our travels around the world so my husband and I consider ourselves well versed in this area. 4 Beaches Bed and Breakfast is absolutely gorgeous, with balcony views out to the ocean and greenery framing the view beautifully. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated and each have their own ensuite bathroom. The common area is large and open with couches, a large tv, and even a piano and guitar. A large balcony with Adirondack chairs is available to sit and enjoy your homemade cookies and local old school soda pop by Victoria Soda Works upon check-in and there's even a hot tub to enjoy outside! The part that blew me away was the breakfast served in the morning by top notch chef, Pat, who is also the owner of the B&B with his wife, Alison. The menu is large and I thought you chose your meal from the menu....instead, you are served EVERYTHING that is on the menu for the day! (There are 7-10 menus that change daily) Among local fruits, breads, and creative drinks like a pineapple and lime spritzer, we were served delicious thick freshly cut french toast with blackberries, followed by an apple/brie and caramelized onion omelette with a steak AND rosti potatoes! HEAVEN!!!! Looking forward to the owner's plan to add a mini cooking school for those interested in learning his talent!!!!! THANK YOU, PAT & ALISON! You have a gem of a place!

When traveling to this area you may ask yourself: hotel or B&B? The 4 Beaches B&B is a clear reminder why choosing "B&B" is a good call! My 4 night stay at Alison & Pat's B&B exceeded all my expectations. With an impressive focus on all the subtle little details, they provide an environment that will make your stay memorable. A few examples include: a handwritten welcome note with an accompanying bottle of wine, the pleasant surprise of a hot tub on the back deck, breakfast at a large dining table that overlooks the ocean, a large great room for relaxing and enjoying the view, and finally, a spectacular breakfast (Pat's a professional chef) that goes through a 10 day rotation to keep up the variety of gourmet culinary delights to kick-start your day. Delightful people, delightful place, I'm fortunate to have had the chance to experience it!!

Alison and Pat of 4 Beaches delivered all you could ask for: warm hospitality, comfortable and clean rooms, ocean view, gourmet breakfast, help with trip suggestions and Shiloh, their dog, who will greet you and shower you with love if you so desire. Doesn't get any better than this... You won't be disappointed!

This splendid, comfortable, accommodating, and helpful b&b was beyond expectations. Pat and Alison go out of their way to make you feel at home. They even helped with ferry bookings and dinner suggestions. They have a relaxing hot tub which is worth every minute of the soak. Towels also provided. I can't say enough about the Phenomenal breakfasts and lovely treats upon arrival. Their kindness was perfect.

The room was very comfortable, the breakfast delicious, great views from the breakfast/sitting room, and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly - including Shiloh (the dog). We had a very short stay, arriving late in the evening and leaving early the next morning, but it was very pleasant and I'd recommend it for a longer stay.

This past weekend my husband and I stayed at 4 Beaches Bed and Breakfast. I had never been to a bed and breakfast before so this was all new. My stay at 4 Beaches made me feel as if I had been missing out all this time! The peaceful, somewhat isolated location coupled with the ocean front views make it easy to spend the day on the deck. At night, if it is clear, it is easy to see the Milky Way! During the day time, this place is a wildlife haven. We only saw deer and various birds, including a few eagles. However, the this area is known for bears, seal, and whales. As for our gracious host, Alison and Pat, they were great. Alison had a prior commitment and could not be there when I arrived, however she left a welcome card and note for us. Our room was equipped with a lovely bottle of wine. The breakfast was AMAZING! Eggs, waffles, thick bacon, all with a chef's elegance. There is a jacuzzi, huge yard, and 2 patio sets. We also brought our dog with us which was just fine ($25 pet deposit). Our dog had a playmate, Shiloh, a lovely golden lab. Everything was great! If we ever make a trip back we will be sure to stay at the 4 Beaches Bed and Breakfast again.
