Chris, the owner is a super sweet lady who goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. There are a few things you should be aware of. There is no tv in the room which, for us, was fine. There is no phone in the room. The shower in the room is very small, you can't fall down. Victoria is about a half hour away.Sydney & Burchart Garden is longer. We arrived and the owner Chris was amazing during our whole stay. We had booked the little cottage over looking the ocean and I was very impressed on how clean the place was! You can tell that alot of thought and detail went into the rooms. In the morning we saw small bunnies that roamed the property (my 1 yr old pointed them out). You can see Hawks […] soaring over the ocean. The fresh gentle breeze floated through our room which made it even more relaxing to read my book (with a busy toddler I cannot remember the last time I read a book). Chris let us sleep in and when we were ready, we met her in the kitchen so she can prepare our breakfast. Breakfast was amazing with a spread of fresh fruit, cinimon rolls and a smoked salmon omelet! Eating outside on such a gorgeous day overlooking the ocean is priceless! If your looking for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city this is the place for you. You will be relaxed after leaving. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A magical place"

I am so happy I made the choice to stay at this B&B. The owner Chris, is a warm and welcoming host who goes above and beyond with her place. The view is amazing and there's a little path right down to the Galloping Goose Trail and the ocean. The breakfast was (as another reviewer put it) just wow! I highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a very relaxing stay in a beautiful place, this is it.

My girlfriend & I stayed at Moonlit Cove after cycling the Galloping Goose trail from Victoria. Chris Hoffman opened her home & her heart to us. The over & above service & hospitality made us feel like members of the family. The property is beautifully scenic & the cabin, where we stayed, was gorgeous. Two big thumbs up!!!!!!! I'll recommend this place to one & all. Thanks for everything Chris.
"Magical stay in Moonlit Cove!"
We were absolutely blown away when we saw the view from this gorgeous, quirky B and B! We stayed for only two nights but they were among the highlight of a three week visit to Canada. Our room was beautiful with so many extra little details to make us feel at home. Chris, the owner, was so friendly and helpful and the breakfast...just wow! If you are looking for a unique and memorable guesthouse, this is definitely is the place for you.

Great place, a wonderful host Chris, you get nature, a nice view, a trail for biking, running or hiking, perfect rooms and/or complete cottages, outstanding breakfast which we would call brunch :-), a place which we will definitely keep in very good memory and would always return to

My wife and I recently stayed at Moonlit Cove for our honeymoon and as soon as we pulled into the driveway we knew we had made the right choice. The Sooke basin is an amazing place to stay and relax, with the Galloping Goose accessible from the property. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely stay here if we ever get back to the Vancouver area.

Having travelled canada for now 5 weeks the moonlit cove b&b has likely been our personal top location. Had an apartment on the first floor overlooking a bay through large windows. Our host made us feel very welcome and at home. Delicious and healthy breakfast each morning. Our baby (1 year) had much space for walking (practice) inside the apartment and on the terasse on ground floor. Spontaneously extended our stay for two more nights. This b&b is run by an excellent and friendly host, provides high quality and a wonderful atmosphere.

We loved our stay at Moonlit Cove! We stayed in the honeymoon cottage and enjoyed a comfortable bed, a jacuzzi tub, and an incredible view of the bay. Chris's breakfasts were amazing! She even surprised us with a beautiful dessert for our anniversary when we came home late one evening! We were right on the Galloping Goose trail, which is perfect for hiking, walking, and biking. We also enjoyed hiking and swimming at Sooke Potholes Park, just a few minutes away. There's a great restaurant just a couple minutes away, too, which we enjoyed for dinner one day and lunch another. And it's less than an hour to get to Butchart Gardens, Victoria, and the bay where you catch the ferry to Vancouver. We highly recommend Moonlit Cove and hope to be back soon!

Thank you Chris for very comfortable beds and a lovely place to sleep. The views were amazing and the breakfast was outstanding? Being close to the galloping goose and the Sooke potholes was and is a bonus to any cyclists. Thanks again

What a great view!! Chris was a terrific host. The suite that we rented had everything we needed to have a perfect time (fridge, microwave). The bed was better than the one we owned back home. Chris, those breakfasts were awesome!!

The moonlit Cove B&B is so wrongly classified as it is so much more. While staying at the Moonlit Cove you have a entire suite for your own use, a sitting area, a kitchen/eating area equipped with a fridge and microwave and of course your lovely soft bed to sink into each night. Oh yes and a deck with chairs. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The view is exquisite and use of the outside is encouraged if not to sit and take in the view then to watch the hummingbirds. Feeling energetic the Gooseneck trail is a 5min walk down the hill. Breakfast is Not a continental thing here. Every morning (we stayed 4) we got a full breakfast from poached eggs to smoked Salmon bagels. Yogurt, fresh fruit juice, muffins, and fresh brewed coffee. are standard fair. The Host Chris, goes out of her way for each and every guest, as she recognizes that everyone has different needs. She is more than accommodating and tries to make everyones stay as enjoyable as she can. The Moonlit Cove B&B is a Relaxing and Enjoyable home away from home.
