We stayed in the Safari room, separate from the house, and it was quite comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and Brian, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge aboud the local history.

Best Place to Stay in Vancouver...& Even Canada?
This is a remarkable Bed and Breakfast in Vancouver, not too far from the airport, about a half hour from downtown, and very close to the best Chinese restaurants in Canada. I'll break things down by our experience: Breakfast: Eggs Benedict, four types of juice, coffee and tea, yogurt parfaits, the breakfast here is better than most restaurants. Space: A pool in a large garden that includes its own winemaking grape vines, it's pretty tough to beat. We stayed in the "Safari Room", which has its own guest house in the back yard. The room is adorned with a comfortable bed and the usual amenities, as well as fridge full of water and soda, immaculately turned over each day. There's vines over the small building, making it look like something out of the Shire in Lord of the Rings. Service: We received generous complementary printing for a conference, as well as great advice for where to visit in town, and they let us wash a load of laundry when we ran out of clean clothes on our road trip. The last amenity was really well received in particular, and makes Stone Hedge basically a 4-Star hotel in terms of service. Parking is included with the stay, and the hosts are generous and willing to answer any questions about the city, including its history.

A Hidden Gem
My husband and I stayed in the African inspired room. The owners were so nice and friendly. The breakfast is worth the trip there. So many little touches I can't name them all. They recommended places to eat in town and they were right in point.

Classic B&B - quiet, secluded neighborhood with very hospitable hosts. Great courtyard and pool for lounging. Rooms are comfortable and nice extras (chocolates and brandy, yum!). Stay for breakfast - baked grapefruit, maple bacon, creamed eggs. What more could you want?

Best b&b experience
We had a wonderful time! The owner was so kind and friendly. The giant jetted bathtub for us and us only was a definite plus!! That was my first worry at a b&b but we had our own space, it was really relaxing.
