"A great spot..except for parking"
Stayed here 5 nights on family holiday. Mere steps from Rogers Center and sites. Sobeys grocery close by and it sits in the middle of the Toronto city...with all the beauty and noise of a major world city. This isn't a hotel and the concierge aren't really concerned if you have a problem, which we did with parking. The garage is confusing, with lots […] of connecting doors, etc. The fob didn't work for us, requiring us to wait for an hour while the owner came back to replace it. "great view, ok apartment, rubbish service"
08/31/14 traveller88Plymouth Plymouth, United Kingdom
Arrived having booked for 6 people to find two bedrooms. Having hunted in every cupboard finally found a couple of mattresses. Not what you would expect. Pre booked parking but was told by security guard who gave us our keys (as there's no reception, so no one to deal with problems) that we had no parking so had to find public overnight parking. Phoned the number given but only got voicemail and never got reply. Eventually discovered we had parking but as we only had a security guard to talk to this wasn't cleared up immediately as it could have been had there been someone from the company there. Otherwise nice apartment with kitchen and fab view from balcony. Definitely location made this apartment
"Mis-sold. Does NOT have access to pool or leisure facilities"
This building is all about location, location location and it doesn't disappoint in that regard. But that's where the positives end. Negatives for my family of four with two kids ages 8 & 11 were: - REALLY unfriendly concierge; more like security - no access to pool and leisure building (next door) was a big blow. We were told that only leaseholders could use the facilities, so went to building managers to be told that apartments were not supposed to be let on short term basis! Called number on the booking confirmation to get voicemail only (unsurprisingly no one called us back) - Suite was dirty, carpets were badly stained - Second 'bedroom' was a mattress on the floor in a hallway just inside front door - Bathroom door was loose - either would not lock, or not unlock. - Washing machine was very noisy and pretty poor - everything came out a bit tacky. All in all, could do better I would say.
"Stunning views of the CN Tower from your balcony!"
08/28/14 pubble Derby, United Kingdom
If you come to Toronto to see the CN Tower - then this apartment is a must! One block away - literally the Rogers Centre, Aquarium and CN Tower entrance is across the road! The apartment was set out ready for us in a special and welcoming way - stocked with appliances and good crockery etc for 6 including microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryers, as well as a couple of dishwasher tablets and washing up liquids etc - very helpful for travellers. The view from the balcony was superb - must be one of the best in the city with the CN Tower i full view one block away - so close it was hard to take a picture with the ground and the top in one frame!! Watching it change colours at night while having a drink on our balcony was such a joyful experience; and the accessibility to the tourist hop on hop off buses which take you all round the central area for 72 hours on one ticket, was just round the corner. Union station is very close and the Rogers centre was across the traffic lights, less than a block away! We didn't have time for the gym or swim but there was a pool and gym if we wanted. Our only criticism was the pre-information; we thought it was in the CN Convention centre from the description so tried to park in that area to be swiftly but politely told it was not there. It is actually opposite the Rogers centre - which gave better views than the actual convention centre; but I was initially disappointed as thought from the description that it was in the convention centre complex. The pre information how to get to the apartment with useful info you need to print out was not sent till a few days before which meant we couldn't print as we were travelling. This with no wifi while travelling to check emails on the phone meant that we had a problem getting into the building as we tried to park first which you cannot do without having been to reception first to pick up your key fob etc. They were helpful at reception after we have blocked the parking up!! And they let me use the wifi there to check the details; but it could have been easier with more advance information. We also had problems having only one key between two couples; but managed. Otherwise - it was a great stay and we would stay there again if in Toronto. We travelled all around South Eastern Canada staying in a variety of places - this and Niagara were our luxury choices - not cheap but god value for the location and size of apartment, sleeping 2 couples comfortably with a private bedroom and comfy sofa bed.

"Good location, poor service"
08/13/14 mattcanuck Calgary, Canada
Unit 932 - 36 Blue Jays Way. Positives for this place are the location and comfy beds. Unfortunately, the positives didn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Looking at other reviewers, I'd agree that not all rooms (or stays) are created equal. For us, cleanliness of the room could have been better. We found hair on the main floor and the carpeting was quite dirty as well. Cable for the TV's comes with only basic service. The biggest issue we had, though, was service after we noticed there was no shower curtain (or rod) in the bathroom. Management dropped off a new shower curtain next day but wasn't helpful since there was no rod. Mopping up water with two of the four towels didn't help with a family of four. I asked for a partial refund on our stay but none was provided. The explanation was that the shower curtain and rod were housed in the bedroom closet. Apparently it's standard protocol for guests to have to rummage through the closets and install themselves. Put quite a damper on our stay, and the fact they saw no need to make up for it afterwards was disappointing. Given rates are comparable to other hotel properties in downtown Toronto, next time I will stay in a hotel for better service when needed.
"One Major Complaint"
08/10/14 Jamie Y
We just stayed at the Atlas Suites on 35 Mariner Terrace from August 3-9. This is a great location and convenient to everything. The suite itself wasn't bad, but we have one major complaint. They advertise a pool and a fitness center. There is a pool and fitness center located in the building next door, but it is NOT available for these short-term rentals. It is only available for permanent residents. When my kids and I went to use the pool, the front desk person at the pool/fitness center informed us of this fact and said that the management renting these units is very aware of this, yet continues to falsely advertise these amenities. Both the pool and the fitness center were major reasons we decided on this rental, so I'm very disappointed that this was intentionally misrepresented to us. Another complaint is the fact that we went to use the oven one day and it gave off a strong gas odor like the pilot light was not igniting. We called the management and left a message, but no one ever responded to us. In a high-rise of 50+ floors, it seems like a potential gas leak issue would be important, but apparently not. So, we could not use the oven all week (kitchen facilities were another reason we had chosen to rent a condo as opposed to a standard hotel room).
"Atlas Wellington Suite 1131 -not all suites are equal"
08/08/14 LisaSherwoodpark Sherwood park
Unit 1131 - 36 Blue Jays Way (Soho complex). Bad condition. Ceiling in main floor bath appears that it may collapse at any time (pics avail if you like). Rugs need replacing, painting required, never did get TV operating (plus more items needing repair). For the price stay somewhere (anywhere) else. This unit is in the same building as the Soho Hotel, stay hotel side. That way if you did need anything, there would be someone able to help you out. Location is fantastic. But there are a lot of accommodations avail in this area. Did contact owner, .... did not appear to care. ....
"Close to almost everything"
07/23/14 Tlutz71 Watertown, New York
20 Blue Jays Way Suite #1921: Pros: close to almost everything; cost of parking was included in the price of the 4 night stay. Cons: The washer didn't spin water out of clothes right. When I called the help line they were no help. There were not enough pots and pans in the kitchen. They need measuring cups and measuring spoons. Wooden spoons would have been nice to have. There was only one set of keys and badge on one key chain for four people. We should have been able to sign out three set of keys with badges. It would be money well spent if Atlas suites would do that because it would make families that stay there much happier. The pool requires that you go through the women's or men's restroom to access the pool with the badge. It made it impossible for me and my daughter to use the pool also when my husband and son were using the pool so my daughter and I were never able to use the pool. Please think about this for future customers of suite 1921! The towel rack in the bathroom was broken off the wall and the remnants of the back of the rack were still on the wall. It would have been nice to have a towel rack. The towel rack instead was sitting in three pieces in one of the bedroom closets. The hand towel rack was also missing and the remnants of it was also on the wall were it use to be but that rack was probably thrown in the garbage. A hand towel rack would have also been nice to have. The maintenance people on suite 1921 don't seem to be doing their jobs well. When I originally thought I was staying at 35 Mariner Terrace, we arrived at that address. The lady at the front desk was rude. She treated me like a third-class citizen when in fact I had paid for an entire 4-night stay before I got there. Come to find out my reservations were changed to 20 Blue Jays Way. It took the rude lady about ten minutes to find that out. Then when we finally got into the condo I needed to wash clothes and I couldn't figure out the washer and called "Madeem" and he hung up on me when I was asking him how to use the washer. The people that work for Atlas Suites could care more. I felt like they didn't care because they already got my money. I also called "Madeem" back to complain that there were only four towels in the condo and there were four of us. He didn't care. He didn't offer to have more brought over or anything. I had to buy four more towels at Walmart the next day to prevent from washing clothes twice as much as I should. He also never got back to me about the towels or the washing machine. The amenities where I was suppose to stay compared to where I actually stayed seemed like much more. I know I was upgraded to a two-bedroom but I also feel like I was downgraded on the amenities. The pool looked big in the pictures at the Mariner and the pool where I stayed was small. The game room only had a pool table and nothing else. There was only one set of keys when I should have been able to have three sets of keys with badges. Hotels give three or four key cards out to access the room and amenities. Since places like this are competing with hotels, they should already know this. I would have to have some of my questions answered thoroughly (what dishes, etc. are in the apartment, etc.) and have more key sets assigned to me for me to stay at the Atlas Suites for a possible future visit.
"Never staying in a hotel again"
I recently discovered these amazing condo appartments in toronto which not only offer all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel but also provide the benefits of having your own living room, kitchen and a great view to top it all. Our experience (me and my wife's)with Atlas suites was more then amazing, great clean appartment with top notch furniture, fantastic view, very friendly guest service with a personal touch and best of all great value for money. Highly recommend Atlas Suites if you plan to visit Toronto sometime this summer or are just looking for a nice getaway in downtown Toronto.
