The hotel was very convient for our destination for a weekend of bicyle racing. The free continental breakfast was lacking but it was free. Room was clean and large with a productive AC unit. All in all a nice place and the price was right!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"You get what you pay for"

I'm in the Army and unfortunately have to travel to Elp more than I care to. I've stayed at this place more than once because it is so cheap; however cheap shouldn't mean bad for service, stench filled rooms and horrible shower heads. I swear I could stay in the barracks for free if I wanted such crap! Seriously I think service members deserve a little better. Some febreeze at check in at least. Doesn't have to be fancy but dang get rid of the smell and silence the fricken dogs!! I'm not paying to be kept up by dogs. RUDE.GHETTO. I'm going back to the barracks, a little cleaner. ..

"Good place while PCSing with pets"

The main reason we stayed here while moving into and out of El Paso was because it's one of the few hotels close to Fort Bliss that allows pets and isn't a fleabag motel. The rates are pretty low if you're traveling on orders, and some of the pet fee is refundable. There was a clean laundry room, vending machines, a separate entrance for folks with dogs, and free wifi and breakfast. For a short term stay, it's not a bad place. One thing that annoyed me was that there is a notice in the room that states housekeeping will come every day to change towels and empty trash, even if you have a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. My husband was tempted to lounge around naked just to traumatize the maid into not doing it. Still, for the price we paid, it was a decent experience. I just wouldn't expect a 5 star experience.

My family and I arrived to El Paso due to the fact that my husband is military. The night we arrived the young lady at the front desk was very friendly and checked us in right away. When we arrived there we were planning on staying only for a few nights until we received housing, but a couple of nights turned into 18 days. The whole time we stayed there the staff was nothing but friendly and always treated us with respect. The housekeeping staff was just so wonderful they came to our room daily to see if there was anything we needed, and if we didn't have it they made sure we got it. The young lady at the front desk that worked on Wednesdays and Saturdays I enjoyed talking to her she made the stay even better because I am a talker...lol. All in all the stay at the ASYMCA Hotel was a wonderful experience for my husband, my three children, our dog Bryce and myself. With that being said you guys get 5 stars from us. To the housekeeping staff ladies you do a wonderful job and keep smiling. To the staff at the front desk keep up the great work you all deserve to see a little more in your paychecks. Love You all..... Mrs. C. Jones P.S. Wish I could give you 6 stars well what the hell you get 6 stars.....lol
"Love the staff"

We had to PCS to EL Paso and we stayed in the ASYMCA until we were able to find an a house. The staff were amazing. They are VERY friendly and really took care of us. Anytime we needed anything, they would be very helpful. The rooms are not the most fancy, which that is not what we needed. They are clean and are reasonably priced.
"Horrible service, bad breakfast and unprofessional staff!!!"

We stayed at the ASYMCA during our pcs into El Paso. We are very dissappointed in the stay. The staff is very unprofessional when we went to complain about the maids not servicing the room the manager actually told the maid how we were "complaining". The maid then came straight to our room and demanded to know why we were "complaining about her work" as she stated and said she did service our towels and take our trash what more would we want!! It only gets worse from here. The staff only spoke in spanish when in the hotel lobby and breakfast/conference room. We also heard them complaining to one another about the "horrilbe" guests who are "always complaining" coming to the counter to make another complaint!!!! I even had to mop my own floor in my room because the staff refused to do so!! I also found out that they only change the sheets not the cover or mattress pad and not even those every day!! I have never been in a hotel that says u have to request service to have your room cleaned and if not then they will not clean your room. For breakfast they let the staff eat the food before the guests. I have been in to the breakfast when there wasn't any milk for the cereal, the maids refused to put out more waffle batter for the waffle maker, all of the bread was gone for the toast, the juice was so watered down that it tasted like water but had a yellow color, and the only thing to eat was the cereal which as i stated before there was no milk for. You cannot complain to the managment for fear of retaliation and also because they will flat out refuse to see to your request anyway!! I have never stayed at a military hotel that is so bad I will NEVER stay here again and am complaining to the post!! If you want to stay here just expect to have very poor service, no breakfast, and to be treated horrible by an unprofessional staff. Hope this helped you make up your mind in your stay!!
"This hotel was family and pet friendly :)"

We stayed at this hotel while we were pcsing and staff was very friendly. They have a continental breakfast with many choices. We stayed in a pet room and it was very clean. Hotel is located near restaurants and near Fort Bliss. We had no problems and we would return again.
"Hotel ok...customer sevice, terrible and rude."
10/19/09 tigger7398 SC
Stayed at this hotel while my military husband was recuperating from a military related injury. I was grateful that we were able to be with my him during this time. That being said, I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone! The room was ok. After all, I was not expecting it to be like a 5 star resort. However, there was only one person on staff that even smiled at us during our entire 5 week stay. Everyone of the front desk staff was rude, which doesn't surprise me since the manager was the rudest of all of them. She even came into our room while we were out and went through our things. If you don't mind any of these things, then it is an alright place to stay for the price. I, however, will be staying at the Ft. lodging if I ever return to the El Paso area.
