Not sure if it's because of the world cup, both nights were very noisy. Both lights next to the bed didn't work, one of them didn't even have bulb! Corridor light on 3rd floor wasn't on as well, v dark. Told the receptionist the next day but nothing changed. The only plus point is that the guesthouse is "considerably" near town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
They had not recognised my booking and told me to find another hotel. Maybe hotel.com's problem for not passing the details on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Zurich HB and Nice Room"
The room was very appealing, I used the kitchen a few times and easily went to work via the nearby central station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not for business trips"
The room conditions were good and nice. No elevator so be prepared. Bad opening hours for the reception, opens at 9 am, so if you're on a business trips and need to check out early, you have to argue and solve the issue by yourself if you want to store your luggage at the hotel during the day before your flight back... Not service minded staff. But […] otherwise, pretty cute hotel. Looks better on the images than in reality though. However, general rate 3/5.
"Dirty, noisy, disgusting."
09/18/14 SantCugat2000 Sant Cugat del Valles, Spain
The reviews are too good. The place is really dirty and disgusting. Pubic hair on the bed sheets (visible). Hair in the bathroom and shower everywhere. Shower floor was sticky. Blood stain on the toilet. Thick layer of dust everywhere. I got to see 3 room, but all dirty so not much choice. The owner blames it on housekeeping since himself is too busy. Casa Rudolfo has lift, but A/C only works on top floors (you can ask them). There's wifi and 2 blocks from tram, but noisy shabby street and right above an Indian fast food with all the smell everywhere. The price is apparently good in Zurich scale. The owner was described by other to be very kind and at first seemed very nice. But soon got too friendly and then really really really creepy (not professional enough to cross the line). Ruined my time in Zurich. I warn you not to stay. I left one day earlier even though it was not refundable. It was a business trip so couldn't leave earlier than that. Also the street is really shabby. They brought towels every day, but didn't bother to have anything cleaned, so you never know how clean the towels actually are if you have dirt everywhere.
"A nice stay"

Clearly, the reviews about this property are quite divided. We have been travelling through Europe in a car for 4 months, so we needed something reasonably priced (in this horrendously expensive city) that hopefully would provide an ability for us to also park the car. What we got was a pretty nice room, including a mini kitchenette, which suited as fine, as we were never going to afford to go out for meals in Zurich. We were also told that for a payment of 15CHF we could park the car out front by putting an approved parking permit on the dash. Yes, the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the centre of town, but we were ok with that. We also didn't have any problem checking in due to arriving at weird hours (we arrived around 5pm), nor did we receive a cold reception, or any loud music at night. Maybe we got lucky, or maybe others got unlucky. It does seem strange that opinions are so divided. IMHO, the price is pretty good, so it might be worth giving it a try.
"My reservation was canceled when I arrived at this hotel!!!"

I don't recommend this hotel. I booked 3 nights at Casa Hienrich Appartment of this hotel group using Booking.com. one month before my travel schedule Check-in Aug 10 and Check-out Aug 13 My reservation was confirmed and the room charge was charged on my credit card. I definitely received confirmation mail from Booking.com. When I arrived at this hotel as per my schedule, surprisingly my reservation was cancelled by them. I and my family (85 year-old of my mother and 21 year-old of my daughter came from Japan) were at lost. The hotel provided us with a room for 2 nights, which was on the 6th floor without elevator and no airconditioner and with lots of dust on the floor and chairs. The hotel asked us another room charge for 2 nights this room since they couldn't confirm the payment of the cancelled booking as it was Sunday and the bank was closed. I was obliged to pay this charge for 2 nights. The room for the 3rd night, they couldn't provide any room for us because they were fully booked. We found another hotel by ourselves and left this horrible hotel of mis-handling. After coming back from this trip with unforgettable event at this hotel in Zurich, I contacted Booking.com and ask them and this hotel to pay me back the room charge for 3 nights of the first reservation. Again, surprisingly they paid me back money of 2 nights room charge instead of 3 nights which was for replacement room, but they never pay me back another 1 night room charge at this moment after 20 days passed since the event. According to the hotel, the reason why they cannot pay me back for one night is that the reservation I made was non-refundable reservation. However, I have never cancelled this reservation. They cancelled the reservation by themselves. I am still asking the hotel to pay me back for one night room charge CHF247.80. I have never experienced in this kind of mishanding and horrible service while my traveling in my life. If you don't want to involve with this kind of trouble, you had better not to book this hotel group.
"You get what you pay for"

I didn't pay too much attention to the other reviews that said this spot is noisy and I wish I had! It is opposite a nightclub, which, as you can imagine, does not make for the most restful night. We had to keep the windows closed because of e noise and it was then too warm too sleep and no air conditioning. The room itself is fine, clean and simple (ikea furniture) but irritatingly the pillows are actually scatter cushions ( they are square and do not fit the pillowcases) and therefore are really uncomfortable. Because of this I have rated the hotel poor because I believe this is the one thing you should spend money on and get right if you're in the business of selling a good night's sleep!
"Complicated but Nice"

I can confirm the booking problems and the odd check in hours. However, upon calling the owners came down personally in the middle of the night to make sure everything is taken care of. Rooms are small and simple. Biggest Plus is the price. Mine was 70chf while all other hotels in Zurich for that time were 200+. It is not a classical business hotel, but great if your are on a budget. If you don't speak German, I would recommend that you call before (at their business hours to make sure they have your reservation.)
"They left us stranded!"
05/17/14 blayton Pensacola, Florida
This place only accepts guests at bizarre hours (only before 5 on Sundays and before 7 on weekdays). Our train got in late. There's a tv in the window saying to call a number for late checkin, but whoever answered the phone said they had no record of us booking a room. So it was 10pm, and we were stranded with no hotel.. near Zurich's sketchy red light district. Be forewarned! This hotel is flaky and will take your money.
"Reasonable budget option for Zurich"
05/02/14 SuzieLee71 Brisbane, Australia
Our room at Casa Heinrich was at the top of three flights of stairs. The room and bathroom were very small, but well designed, clean and modern. It also came with a well equipped tiny kitchenette which is good as Zurich is so expensive. However the staff on reception were indifferent - and were very good at passing the buck. The safe didn't work in our room and we had to clean a large hair ball out of the shower so that the water would drain.
"Only if no other choice..."
02/16/14 EKiAG Moscow, Russia
We spent the weekend in this hotel. Everything in the place is quite disappoining: - unfriendly reception, hardly speaking English; - very small room; - cutlery as well as dishes only for 1 person in the double-room. Not even 1 wine or any other glass!!!; - the microwave didn't function; - only 1 chair with a small table next to the wall: 2 people have no place to sit, actually; - only 1 bed-side light....; - problems with the bathroom (the water not going away). Frankly speaking, we didn't pay much attention at all these during our weekend as were mostly outside. However, I definitely not recommend this hotel to anybody.
"It was ok"
02/12/14 BellaC338 London, England, United Kingdom
As Switzerland is so expensive I chose a great deal over location and I clearly got what I paid for. The room was very warm - I'll it that, but the location was not fantastic and the rooms were ok. There's also wasn't any soap to wash your hands after going to the bathroom let alone anything in the shower. The most annoying thing perhaps was that the reception desk is only open for a specific period of time so upon leaving I had to wait for them to open at 10am on Sunday before being able to pay for my room and leave. There's also no-where to store your bags unless you just want to leave them near the front door of course.
"Gorgeous rooms, helpful staff"
01/28/14 georjax Broome, Australia
Firstly, all accommodation in Zurich is ridiculously expensive. Casa Heinrich was the cheapest we could find, but it's amazing! The rooms are super clean, there's a lovely heater in the main area, aswell as in the bathroom. The fact there's a kitchenette, is perfect if you don't want to blow your budget eating out at restaurants. The shower is great! Hot water goes for ages. And I'm not sure what the review below me was about - the rooms are really spacious. I could swing 10 kittens and still not hit the walls. We arrived at 8.30am one freezing morning, and check ins not until 2pm, but the extremely lovely receptionist downstairs said it was fine to check in right then. We were both sick, so very much appreciated it. The hotels in a great position, yes, it's 10 minutes from the "city" but the walk is incredible. Zurich is such a gorgeous city - why would you want to do anything BUT walk? We were both so happy with everything here.
