Extremely comfortable beds!!
This is a good, clean basic hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfy. Perhaps memory foam? The location is easy to find when taking public transport. A grocery store and restaurants across the street. The neighborhood is safe and we felt comfortable walking at night. The staff was friendly and willing to help!!

Good place at a good price
The hotel was easy to find with public transportation a few steps away. The room is basic but spacious and most importantly clean and safe. The staff was friendly and willing to help. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Great price, great location, would stay again!
The best part (besides the price) was the location. It is about a block from the Campo Pequeno Metro station and there is a mini super market directly across the street for snacks and drinks, though it is closed on Sundays. It is located on a quiet street, yet only about half a block from a main road where you can catch a few different buses including the 727 which takes you directly to Belem. I did not spend too much time in the area, but noticed that there were lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. The room was pretty modern and clean, but vey basic as you would expect from a budget hotel. Continental breakfast was as good as can be expected for any continental breakfast and the staff were very nice. My only complaints are 1.) That the internet speed was pretty slow and 2.) The room was a bit cold. It has AC, but no heater. Once in bed though, I was fine and slept comfortably. Just to give you an idea of temps the week I was there it was in the mid 60's during the day and at night it would drop to the mid 50's. One more thing I should mention is the lighting in the room itself. It was not the greatest, but it did not bother me. During the day you'll get plenty of lighting from the balcony if you open the curtains. I would definitely stay here again, great value!

Perfect place for a home base to explore Lisbon
Hotel Capital is exactly what it advertises...a decent, budget hotel in a very nice, quiet neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is older so don't expect any fancy bells and whistles but is it very comfortable, clean, easily accessible and the staff is extremely helpful. If you're looking for a clean, reasonably priced place to rest and shower that is just a 15-20 minute walk from all the downtown action, this is the perfect spot. The location is also a very short ride (less than 10 euros) to the airport and offers the opportunity to see parts of Lisbon outside of the downtown and Barrio Alto.
