We stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer! Really lovely rooms with which felt cosy and homely but also luxurious. Very comfortable bed & great shower- weird maybe but a decent hotel shower is hard to come by! Service was brilliant, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the host Daffyd was welcoming & friendly The beach is very close and has miles of white sands- all you really need to clear the cobwebs!

"18th Century Farmhouse with Designer Accommodation"
A rare breed - 18th century farmhouse with high-end/designer bedrooms, all set in a traditional welsh village only minutes from the coast. The warmth of the hospitality and the genuine desire on behalf of the owner to please were the icing on the cake. Will definitely return!

Lovely place to stay. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. Bathroom looks lovely but can get bit damp as wet room means that water can spread. Food is excellent.

"Fun host"
The location of this B and B is great for the beach and coastal walks. Breakfast was delicious. The most striking feature was the wet room shower which was tremendously powerful.

"Incredible weekend!"
We spent an absolutely fabulous weekend "chez Dafydd". He is a wonderful host, full of information about Wales. The room was tastefully decoated and breakfast delicious. I would recommend his B&B in a heartbeat.

"Birthday weekend away "

Warm welcome from Dafydd was matched by a hearty breakfast in a great location. Sadly the weather wasn't the best but convenient location for access to the surf beach at Llangennith. Pretty remote from civilisation but plenty of choice on the menu at the Kings Head nearby. Room was tastefully decorated but smelled a bit musty suggesting it hadn't been occupied or aired for a while.

"Friendly hidden gem"

Before arriving, Dafydd contacted me to make sure we could find it and his instructions were sufficient, the room was beautifully decorated and had all amenities required for a romantic weekend. His information pack gave us everything we needed to explore the area over the weekend and the breakfasts were outstanding! Highly recommend this adorable little spot. Will definitely be returning soon!!

"A gem of the Gower"

What a little gem Blas Gwyr is. Full of character just like Daffyd and his family. We felt immediately at home and our room was perfect for the relaxing get away we needed. Breakfast was such a treat - I'm now converted to Welsh cut bacon and never want to be able to see London through a rasher ever again! Perfectly placed for great walks, pubs, coves and generally getting acquainted with the Gower. Highly recommended

Water is hot and pressure is high. Ask if something isn't right. Daf will sort it. Embrace this place. It matches this area of Wales. Honest and straight forward. Breakfast is well cooked and ingredients are quality.

I stayed in Grug with my two boys and we had a fantastic stay. The owner was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The room was clean and modern. The shower nice and hot. We all enjoyed breakfast and was served with a smile from the staff. Hope to return next year.

"Unexpected Find"

Having booked a different local hotel who had an "incident" which meant we had to be moved to Blas Gwyr - it was a delight to realise that we possibly had a better place to lay our weary heads. The rooms were spotlessly clean and a pleasure to be in. Dafydd was a most convivial host who makes a great bacon sarnie! Would most definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet bespoke stay in the Gower. So glad we had the opportunity to stay.

"Lovely place"

Stayed for 3 nights in Grug room which was spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities in room with a good choice of teas available. A superb wet room and one of the best showers we have had with a good choice of toiletries in the room. Daffyd had arranged non allergenic bedding for us at short notice. Breakfast was tasty and served fresh and hot and his home made glamorgan sausage and bara brith were lovely. An enjoyable stay made all the better by the wonderful Daffyd and his outgoing character.

It's all been said before. The rooms are very modern and comfortable as described on the website but there's a disconnect. The Welsh Board may think it's 5* but it isn't, it's rather tired. The breakfast was nice but there's a lack of attention to detail and a lack of T.L.C. eg: light bulbs not working, no teaspoons in room, coffee & biscuits not replaced when used, hard to dry towels in a wet room and the breakfast area is more bohemian than boutique. None of this ruined our 2 night stay but we expected more. We stayed in Tenby the 2 nights before and our stay there was much nicer but didn't sound anywhere near as good as Blas Gwyr.
