"Fun host"
The location of this B and B is great for the beach and coastal walks. Breakfast was delicious. The most striking feature was the wet room shower which was tremendously powerful.

"Incredible weekend!"
We spent an absolutely fabulous weekend "chez Dafydd". He is a wonderful host, full of information about Wales. The room was tastefully decoated and breakfast delicious. I would recommend his B&B in a heartbeat.

"Lovely place"

Stayed for 3 nights in Grug room which was spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities in room with a good choice of teas available. A superb wet room and one of the best showers we have had with a good choice of toiletries in the room. Daffyd had arranged non allergenic bedding for us at short notice. Breakfast was tasty and served fresh and hot and his home made glamorgan sausage and bara brith were lovely. An enjoyable stay made all the better by the wonderful Daffyd and his outgoing character.

It's all been said before. The rooms are very modern and comfortable as described on the website but there's a disconnect. The Welsh Board may think it's 5* but it isn't, it's rather tired. The breakfast was nice but there's a lack of attention to detail and a lack of T.L.C. eg: light bulbs not working, no teaspoons in room, coffee & biscuits not replaced when used, hard to dry towels in a wet room and the breakfast area is more bohemian than boutique. None of this ruined our 2 night stay but we expected more. We stayed in Tenby the 2 nights before and our stay there was much nicer but didn't sound anywhere near as good as Blas Gwyr.

"unfortunately only stayed one night"

I stayed for one night only for a wedding held nearby. I had phoned previously to arrange to check in early to get to the wedding, which was no problem. The room was lovely and light with a high ceiling, clean, with a great shower and a very comfortable bed. As you'd expect in the Gower it was very peaceful so sleep was no problem. Breakfast was well cooked to order and very tasty. Even the weather was beautiful!

"A weekend surfing in the Gower, at Blas Gwyr"

Really enjoyed our stay here. Dafydd is a friendly, thoughtful host and Blas Gwyr a pleasant B&B. Our room, with double and sofa bed, was stylishly furnished with a great shower. Breakfasts were large and tasty, setting us up nicely for a day on the beach.

"A very special place - Simple"

Stayed here in April for a Thursday and Friday night. Reasonable price for location. There is a certain randomness about the place but embrace this. Rooms clean. Breakfast was perfect The walks that await you are the best. 'D dog' is a bit of a charactor but he leaves you be to enjoy.

"Disappointing"

It was very disappointing for the money cleanliness was an issue there was sand all over the floor . Housekeeping poor when we returned after a day out beds were not made up and 1 bin empty other left full. Breakfast Luke warm cold toast had to ask for more tea and milk lava bread not available daffydd was dressed in shorts and flip flops think he should have been dressed a little smarter also not there on arrival.Daffydd recommended the kings head for evening meal it was very disappointing , gravy was burnt chips were scraps. With a little more effort this could be a lovely b&b.

"Great base for exploring the gower- a hidden gem"

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was our first time on the Gower .We loved it all . The B&B is hidden away and doesn't look that great from the outside- but don't let that fool you . Our room was very nice and modern which I like. The bed was a king size and comfy and I am very fussy as I hate hard beds. Great waterfall shower room which was great after all the fantastic long walks we did. There was the odd little thing that needed sorting like a bulb in the bathroom not working but the others did so who cares too much . Great breakfast each day and our host Daffyd was very friendly and knowledgable about the area and also in a prior email had recommended places to eat. We would very happily stay again. Nice little courtyard to sit in and catch the sun.

Stayed here ofr a family wedding in the area, but I would be happy to stay here again to explore the area. Daffyd is a welcoming and enthusiastic host and his son Cian is following in his charming footsteps. Get the Wifi working Boyo and I'll be back

"An ideal location to explore this unspoilt area of Wales."
03/11/15 huddersfieldranger huddersfield
An ideal location base for exploring a most beautiful part of the U.K. Dafydd is an informative , entertaining host who makes his guests most welcome. The breakfasts are varied with the added bonus of local dishes on offer. There are one or two minor issues regarding the rooms , the underfloor heating system did not function properly and a number of light bulbs needed replacing. The rooms were clean and tidy with all the basic toiletries provided.

"Boutique B & B"
03/08/15 leonard b
Found this b & b on trip advisor and wasn't disappointed at all. Located according to Daffyd the owner on the ' north Gower peninsula ' and nestled in some challenging walking country. Beautiful scenery and a warm welcome from all we met. Hotel immaculate and Welsh breakfast delicious. Would recommend this venue to anyone.
