"Friendly staff, good location, great rooms"
The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished, the staff are helpful and welcoming, the location is a comfortable walk from the beach and the breakfasts are great. Highly recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location of this B and B is great for the beach and coastal walks. Breakfast was delicious. The most striking feature was the wet room shower which was tremendously powerful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We spent an absolutely fabulous weekend "chez Dafydd". He is a wonderful host, full of information about Wales. The room was tastefully decoated and breakfast delicious. I would recommend his B&B in a heartbeat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, but poor attention to 'detail'"
02/20/15 Adrian H Worcester, United Kingdom
We were in Grug room. WiFi signal was very poor, bedside light bulb was broken and the same for some of the ceiling spotlights. Toiletries half used by other guests and not refilled, and tea/coffee facilities very basic. The sofa in the room was a welcome bit of extra space, but being a pull out bed was also not the most comfy. Outside was a bit grubby looking and needed just an extra bit of thought to make it a special welcome. Car park and entrance is around the back - no signs at the front which looks unkept and can put you off on arrival. HOWEVER.... The room was built to high standards, and the wet room and shower are great. Fab local area and the local pub does great food. Frustrating in that this has so much opportunity to be a most welcoming stay with so much little extra effort, but those small things are what you remember unfortunately.
"The best you'll find."

We've been to Gower plenty of times over the years but it was our first stay at Blas Gwyr. The rooms are beautiful, clean, colourful and our hosts made sure we were well looked after. We were only sorry we'd only booked for the one night. Don't believe reviews suggesting anything other than this being the best guesthouse in Llangennith! If you're planning on staying, book directly with them, not through a booking agency!

Super stay at Blas Gwyr; warm , clean and cosy room perfectly suitable for 4 thanks to a super-comfortable sofa bed . Apart from spectacular Rhossili Bay and the breakers, Dafydd is the highlight. A very open and interesting guy , cooks an awesome breakfast and if you like a bit of etymology there's no one you'd rather meet in the whole of Wales!

Last minute stay at Blas Gwyr was everything we needed. Lovely place in a wonderful part of the Gower. Room was super, clean modern decor, comfy bed, wet room, wifi good complimentary toiletries. Dafydd the owner was engaging and cooked a great breakfast (special mention for his home made Glamorgan sausages). Would definitely return and would recommend to others.
"A fantastic welcome at Blas Gwr"

We stayed here for two nights (Friday- Saturday) and received a warm welcome from our host. Our room was clean and comfortable; there were plenty of complimentary toiletries and the shower (wet room) was fantastic! Dafydd was chatty and entertaining and provided an excellent breakfast on both days. Parking was easy (unusual here). We loved our stay in a great location and look forward to returning soon.

We have just had a four night stay at Blas Gwyr in Llangennith, we had a warm welcome from Dafydd and we're given an amazing room, with everything we could have asked for, lovely large comfy bed and great shower in wet room, breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed the chats we had over breakfast with Dafydd, who had some brilliant tales to tell! We would recommend this guest house to everyone great stay x 12/9/2014
"Luxury with a Warm Welcome"

We had a three night stay here in warm September weather. Good sized, well-appointed rooms with comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, wet room shower, bath robes etc. Breakfast each morning was a delight - well cooked locally sourced food with a daily home made treat to add to the experience. Location great for exploring the beautiful Gower peninsula and a good range of pubs with good food within driving distance.
"Great night's stay"
We were only able to stay for one night. We arrived and let ourselves into our stunning room. It was so peaceful and the room was lovely. The courtyard was really nice, and gave each room privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the room modern and tasteful. The wetroom was great as well, with a powerful shower. The next morning we were served a delicious breakfast (and the museli was lovely), in the really welcoming dining room. Modern, so quiet and a fantastic location to explore the gower. Lovely for a romantic night away. Would go back!
"Fantastic stay on the Gower coast"

Really enjoyed our recent three-night stay at Blas Gwyr. The location was wonderful with some great walks direct from the door, as well as good pubs and restaurants in the area. We slept very well and found our room both comfortable and tastefully designed. There was a powerful shower, very welcome after a day of walking, and a comfy sofa in the room. The rooms each have their own front door, opening out onto a lovely courtyard. And the breakfasts were really excellent, so many thanks to Dafydd for making our stay so enjoyable!
"2nd visit - maybe the last !"

This was a return visit to Blas Gwyr after my first a couple of years ago. The village of Llangennith is one fantastic place - the scenery is some of the best I have ever seen across the World - no exaggeration. Unfortunately Blas Gwyr has not made any great improvements. Parking is a nightmare unless you arrive on a bike - only space for 4 cars and 2 of those are the owners cars. Our room (Llyrlys) was beautifully designed but not very clean - cobwebs high in the ceiling and quite thick dust. The owner Dafydd, was not there to meet us (a note was stuck to the door) and in fact when we finally saw him late at night he seemed to have no time to welcome us. The breakfast was ok but certainly not 5 star or even 4 actually. So in the future , will return to Llangennith but unfortunately not to Blas Gwyr.
