"Good location, convenient to tube"
Hotel was found to be similar to other reviewers. Great location, blocks from Kings Cross stop, just a short walk to hotel. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The room was small, but this was anticipated from other reviewers comments. We had a front room which had some street noise at night, but no more than to be expected from being in a large […] city. "Great small hotel"
Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by the staff member at the front desk and were able to check in early as our room was available. The guy at the front desk immediately jumped up to help get our luggage to our first floor room (just up the stairs past the desk). The room is small, but we easily fit in two large suitcases plus carry ons by playing […] a little Tetris. The room was always immaculately clean, and we had clean cups & spoons with tea, biscuits & water every day. The water in the shower was hot and we always had clean linens. The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning. We were there in the hottest week of the summer, and we were rarely ever cool in our room even though we left the window open 24/7. We felt very safe in the hotel arriving back at various hours of the night. There was always someone at the front desk. Upon checkout, the employee at the front desk immediately ran up the stairs to help with luggage. The size may not be good for everyone, but it was great for a couple that was traveling light and spending most of the day in the city. It's proximity to King's Cross, St. Pancras & Euston stations made it a great location. The hotel also had all modern amenities including a very nice flat screen tv with cable access, an electric kettle, and a hair dryer in the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for overnight"
The room was tiny but had a bath "en suite." It was perfect for our one-night stay before an early train, with an easy walk to the Kings Cross Station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great staff compensate"
my room had very small toilet and bath. i'm a small person and i wonder how a 6 foot person might feel. the room was noisy. it had no airconditioning. but it was clean. the staff were helpful and nice. the location is very near for the eurostar at the st pancras station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was compact but comfortable. Convenient for tube at Kings CrossGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel has been made over with new decor but some old elements remaining. The bed seemed quite short - I'm 5'9" and my feet were at the end. Kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits, Corby trouser press (hooray) and hairdryer in the room. The staff were very pleasant. There was a jazz band playing in the reception room, which was great though a little loud. […] The breakfast was very generous and a little old-fashioned too. Juice, grapefruit segments, cereal, weak coffee and plenty of toast and scrambled eggs, but a bit tasteless. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to major transportation connections"
Very small room with miniscule bathroom. No room to open luggage. The clothes hangers were open, over coffee/tea set up and my shirts covered the kettle. Very stuffy - no cooling - only open window (risky with outside ladder beside it)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is all about convenience, and location. We fell in to the hotel from London Kings Cross station and used it as an excellent base for sight seeing etc. It is on a quiet street, next to a small park area. The hotel itself is small but clean with very friendly staff. I will use again if in the area as you don't get much for your money in Lo […] ndon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing customer service and the room was amazing to stay in, the staff were very helpful. They had a room were we could store our bags after booking out so we could do some more site seeing in London. We would definatively visit there again, good location not far from the station and not far from centre of London.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to King's Cross and St. Pancras"
Nice hotel. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was a little small.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Well worth the money"
Clean, smart and friendly staff. Bathroom is tiny but workable, clean and modern. Worth the 60 GBP. a night that I paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Recommended with caution"
My room was freshly renovated, good bed, good shower. It is close to Kings Cross/St Pancras That is about it. Breakfast is served in a sister hotel 200 metres down the road. Can be unpleasant when it is wet. The last time I got wet going to breakfast was in the army. There is no refrigerator in the room and no ice dispensing machine in the hotel. My […] internet link warned me the wifi was not secure - no WPA type security. I think it is 15% overpriced for what is offered.. The safe was fixed to the floor and very small. As others have said in previous reviews the rooms are small, but perfectly adequate for a short stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

God beliggenhet - 2 store t-banestasjoner i nærheten (Kings Cross & Euston) i tillegg til tog-stasjonen St. Pancras. […] Kommer til å bo her igjen. Got an extremely small room. Had to change hotel after two nights.
"Ideal for a stopover"

Stayed here last night. All the reviews I had read mentioned the rooms were small - and yes it was but it was perfect clean, the bed was comfortable and for the cost (£70 for one night) it was well worth the money. I've stayed in more expensive hotels in London which are not as nice as this place. If you're looking to just use a hotel as a base and don't plan to spend much time in the room this is ideal. 2 minute walk from kings cross station too
"Tiny, but ideal for couples"

We stayed at Angus Hotel last December. Yes, the rooms are very tiny but in my opinion, it is quite ideal for a couple and for people who just want to spend their whole day outside and then just go to sleep. The best thing is the hotel's being close to anywhere. It's so central! Max. 5 minutes to get to the tube. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was always clean. The bed and the pillows were super-comfortable!

Very small rooms, spartan looking with nothing appealing in them. Basement rooms have the view of a utility closet. No sound proofed rooms where you can hear everything that is happening around the street and in the hotel and bathrooms are poorly maintained. Strictly for a budget trip only
"Really too small but friendly "
08/10/14 Aroonchai Bangkok, Thailand
I doubt if the room area is bigger than 8 square metres. There's no space for our luggages. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is a short stroll to King's Cross station. 84 Pounds a night is far too expensive though.
"Small but perfectly located"
08/05/14 Carrie C Minnesota
I expected a small room, and it was small, but the bed was a double bed, and for a single person it was enough space, I can imagine it would be quite cramped for 2 people. I really liked that the desk had all the international plugs so a converter wasn't necessary. The bathroom was also small but the room was always clean. The location couldn't be better only 2 blocks from the King's Cross tube station so it was only a few minute ride to all the sights.
"strictly for budget"

We expect the room to be small but the fact is that it was smaller than I expect. We had a double bed room but hardly can we move after we put in the baggage. The room was clean though. It was facing the backyard with a small window. We can hear the neighbor next door having meals in their backyard every morning. A bit disturbing for people who want to get some more sleep in morning. The hotel is close to King's Cross St Pancras, just a few minutes walk and you are in the station. Picadilly line is a plus as it goes straight to Heathrow airport. Frontdesk staff quite friendly.
"Small, clean and perfectly located"

I stayed at the Angus by myself for one evening in July. I was traveling alone and wanted a place with a convenient location to King's Cross and the Eurostar station. The room was very small - which I certainly didn't mind because I was traveling solo, but it truly was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in and that's saying something! The room was very clean and the staff was helpful and accommodating. There is no elevator and no air conditioning at this hotel - which is not unusual for the UK. The wifi was free and it was reliable. There is no restaurant at this hotel. My room was located in the basement level of the hotel and faced the front of the hotel. Since there was no air conditioning, I had to have my window open because it got quite warm in my room during the day. Because I faced the front of the hotel, I was concerned about my security with the window open - especially at night. There was an iron fence that kept passers-by from getting down to where my room was, but it certainly wasn't fool proof. In addition, there was a considerable amount of noise coming from the street level and with my window open, it sounded as though those people were in the room with me. I did notice that my room had a very musty smell (it may have been because I was on the bottom floor). I noticed it even more when I got to my next destination and unpacked my clothing and noticed that it all smelled rather musty and required a good airing out. I was set to return to this hotel for 3 more nights after a stay in Oxford. I did change my mind and cancelled my reservations in favor of a hotel with a similar location and pricepoint, but with a few more amenities. Had I been traveling with someone else, I probably wouldn't have been bothered by the feeling of lack of security, but being by myself, I chose to play it safe. The hotel was perfectly acceptable and I would recommend it to others, but with certain warnings that were explained above.
"Comfortable, clean, and very good value"
07/16/14 Big_Foof NY, NY
I spent two nights at The Angus. Yes, the rooms are small and the bathrooms are too, but everything was scrupulously clean and the bed was comfortable. The wifi worked quite well too. The location is convenient, offering easy access to some great attractions and neighborhoods. Given the very high prices for accommodations in London, I was quite pleased with my choice.
"Perfect for what we wanted."
Yes the rooms are small as other reviewers have said, however if, like us, all you needed was somewhere to sleep so to be on an early Eurostar train, then it's perfect. The bathroom sink was minuscule, but we just washed in the perfectly good shower.
"TINY - CLEAN, WIFI"
07/09/14 JOANNE C Glenside, Pennsylvania
Stayed here for 3 nights. Really laughed in the small room - no bigger then the double bed. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom compact but shower worked great. Wfii was great. Nice little pub on the corner. Safe area. A little noisy but not after 10 - totally quiet. Weather was nice - don't know what we would have done if it rained. Across the block from St. Pancras. We ate in there and at the pub on corner. 5 minute walk at most to Eurostar. Worth the money.
