"Rock Hard Beds"
No joke when you read the reveiws about the hard bed, this is the hardest bed ever in history- like a wood board. The AC leaked and the sheets and duvet had stains on them, the area of town isnt close to much and def further than the airport than anticipatedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little expensive if compare with this quality."
Hotel is clean and convenient not far from Donmuang airport, Shoping centers and goverment center. That's why we had decided to stay here. Room was okay, matress was very firm, no phone and microwave in the room but good to have iron and hair dryer. Bathroom no shower curtain and shower cap. Towels, blanket and sheet looked old and some stained. Staff […] (not sure if the woman at the lobby was the owner) were not so nice as we were expected. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hard mattress and very thick pillow - but cheap!"
Very cheap for a 1-night stay because we needed to be near the Government Complex - and clean room, good aircon. Bed mattress was very hard, and the pillows were all very fat/thick. I asked the reception if they had any thinner pillows - they found just one (said it was a staff one!) and all the hotel pillows are the same. Communication was OK, but […] the staff don't speak much English. Shopping mall (Sizzler, Starbucks) very close by, so good location if you want to be in the Chaeng Wattana area. "Nice, new place"
The room was very nice for the price - everything was completely clean and the whole hotel seemed new. The room was big and had everything we needed. An added bonus was the balcony overlooking some trees and a neighborhood, though it was too hot when we were there to keep the doors open. The only possible complaint might be the firmness of the bed, […] though we didn't mind as we're used to firmer mattresses and slept pleasantly. Just know beforehand what to expect. The two staff members who greeted us were nice and professional and explained every detail for our stay. They arranged a taxi for us for an early flight to DMK in the morning no problem for no extra charge when we asked. It was waiting there for us on time in the morning and we got to the airport in plenty of time. There's a store downstairs but we didn't use it, opting for a trip to the big supermarket a 5-10 min walk away. There's also some killer street food right across the street from that big mart (Big C). From the hotel, go up to the main road, take a left and you can't miss it. For the price this is a great hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel close to the airport (Don Mueng)"
Great hotel - location location location. You must understand that the hotel is not in the heart of tourism. It is in a local part of town. Fantastic for us. No tuk-tuk's, local prices, etc. We highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice budget hotel"
the location of delight residence is near DMK and also near Big C market but it's a little far away from BTS or MRT. Overall, I have to say that delight residence is high CP value hotel, clean, quite and tidy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room looks new just for a night. A little firm mattress but sleep well. We just pick this hotel because we can walk to the nearest - Ministry of Foregin Affair of Thailand.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient no frills kind of place"
You definitely get what you pay for here. It's a room, minimal service at reception, a shower, an electric kettle, and a clean bed. The bed definitely needs noting - so uncomfortable! Rock hard.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"night before flight in Don Mueang"
A room, nothing really more. It's really good for a lay over or one night. The room was clean, the toilet too. The building look pretty new and in the room you will found a big mid\full size fridge. They ask for a deposit of 1000 THB (that was my first time in 4 years, that a place ask for a deposit). But really had no problem to retrieve it after my […] stay. The soi is only accessible by one side, so to not miss the entrance, I'm not sure where is the closest place you can make a U-turn, but I think it could be way after the over-pass. So be careful. "Very practical for a overnight stay for Don Mueng"

As we had an early flight from Don Mueng we booked Delight Residence because of it's location and price. We were not disappointed; yes, the bed is hard but the room is clean, modern and comfortable as is the shower. You can even iron your clothes if you feel like it, and a hairdryer is also in the room. The staff is friendly and helpfull and can arrange a taxi to the airport even at 4 AM; taxi costs between 80 and 100 bath for the 15 minute ride to the airport. (Local street) food is available in the neighbourhood and the hotel has a minimarket.
"A delightful stay "

We chose Delight Residence for its closeness to Don Muang airport as we were flying to Chiang Rai following a visit to our son and his family. We found the staff friendly. There was little English spoken but we only really needed to negotiate a daily taxi to our son's house which was quickly arranged by the reception staff. The apartment block feels new; a good standard of fitments etc. We had asked for the top floor and were in room 1501. The room was a good size. The shower room was lovely (though towels were a bit shabby -but replaced daily) and shower gel given daily as was bottled water. We appreciated having a kettle; and mugs and glasses provided. Also there was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The small balcony was useful for hanging out washing (we always carry spare wire coat hangers to use for drying clothes outside). It would have been good to have a couple of chairs in the room;and bedside lamps would have been useful. A voile curtain on the balcony windows would have given some privacy in the daytime as our room was at the side and across for another complex/balconies. It was quiet , both externally and internally, and we slept well despite the firmness of the bed. There is a duvet which helps to pad out the mattress but a mattress topper would have been appreciated , and an extra pillow option. The apartment block is near TK Palace Hotel which looked very nice and could be an option for dining out. Big C supermarket, and other outlets are a short walk away, and over the footbridge. There is a canteen style food place as well as fast food outlets there. On the way we noticed a popular local pavement eating place. The Delight Residence came up to our expectations and fitted our purpose.

I checked in for a few hours sleep but was surprised at the attitude of the mamager. She asked me for a deposit, wanted to charge an extra 3% to use my American Express and when I objected she said "Do you want to cancel your booking?" It was around 1am and I had been travelling 30 hours and had 4 hours until my next flight so I stayed but when I got to the room it was hot amd musty and the bed was hard, like felt over concrete. I wish I'd stayed elsewhere. The towells were old and the shower/bathroom had no shower curtain so the water splashed everywhere. Never again.
"New and Convenient hotel for short stay."
On the 28-30 Sep,2014 my check in to stay 2 nights , I think this hotel it near Don Muang Air Port Central Cheangwattana . the bed is so very hard ( must to change ) a pillow is thin small , Delight hotel is a simple furnishings and service staff overall that good hotel for short stay and business time

This is a handy spot for a short stay near Don Muang. The bed is indeed very hard, too hard, except that I had read the reviews and brought some extra padding for my bed. I paid online and just had to leave 1000b as a deposit. Simple furnishings, strange shower arrangement. Overall, good experience.
"Quiet and new - very close to Don Muang"
08/11/14 Brian C Denver, Colorado
Very nice and new hotel. I think that they just repainted as you can smell fresh paint in the stairway. The hotel is in a great quiet neighborhood and you feel as if you are living as a local. There is a great shopping center within 5 minute walk to the hotel, two of us had dinner for under $3. This is not a tourist area, which makes it that much better for us. You pay just what the locals do and you don't have to deal with the tuk-tuk drivers everywhere. We already booked a second night here. It is very nice. Great deal for the price. One side note, the beds are Thai hard. Nice clean and great room.
"Quiet and close to Don Muang"

I wanted somewhere near Don Muang airport, just to sleep after flying into Suvanaphum and out again a few hours later. Delight was perfect. I arrived at midnight and a pleasant young man checked me in and assisted me with my bags, fortunately there is a lift. The. room was not luxurious, and the bed very firm, but the size was good, the air conditioning worked, there was a kettle (but it is a case of bring your own coffee), a small balcony which looked directly into other people's lives, and a bathroom with hot water and reasonable pressure. It was also quiet, my room had no street noise and I did not hear planes taking off either. This is not a place for a holiday stay, just for transit. There is no swimming pool, but you can use the one at TK Palace which is on the corner of the soi Delight Residence is located on, for a charge. It is very close to Big C, Tesco Lotus and a cinema complex, so if you have an extended time before your flight there is something to do nearby. I did not have time for breakfast, which you would have to buy at the mini art to else eat on Chaeng Wattana Rd. The price was great and it took 10 minutes and 100 baht to Don Muang.
"More than Adequate"
12/26/13 kentpelton Chiang Mai, Thailand
This is a very good place to stay for a quick stay or possibly an extended stay. It is conveniently located near to Don Muang Airport and to the Government Complex. It is relatively new and very clean. The reception office people are helpful and kind. They seem to have adequate abilities with speaking English. In the room amenities as advertised. The bed is comfortable but not plush. The bathroom is Thai style - modern fixtures, but no bathtub or curtain for the shower. The street below was a bit noisy for me but I did have a third floor room on the street corner. Perhaps higher and in the middle of the building would be better. There is no breakfast, but a minimart in the building complex is helpful. There is no grand view from the windows, however windows that allow more than a wall one meter away is nice. The value is very good - it isn't a resort, don't expect one. It's not on a main street but a Tesco Lotus and a Big C store is easily within walking distance (<500m). It is not a large hotel, which makes it a bit more personal.
"Expensive a bit"
I thing Delight more expensive a bit for room only so there locate very near to Government Complex I love it. Internet wifi is ok. Room is a bit large bit not useful. When i book this room i think include breakfast but not. -____-"
"Good new room but not so clean"
05/09/13 Wsea3h Asia
A nice & new apartment. No bellboy. No proper Reception counter. Just an office full of shelves and papers. But the room where you walked in is very nice & modern. The sleepy late night staff slid the window to register us with no smile although polite. When done, she slid the windows and went back to declining sleep. I used the room key to open inner glass door and went up to our room by elevator. The check out staff who was an elderly lady smiled and was nice. This place is new and look very refreshing, in contrast with the tired Don Muang Airport Hotel which costs more. Room is new but there were long hairs on the floor. The floor showed it was moped by wet cloth but hairs were not removed. I thought those were mine but I saw more hairs in 2 other corners where I did not enter. Room and bathroom have new decoration style so they look very pleasant and comfortable. Just that after the shower, I had to take photos of shampoo/soap marks on valves. By the look of these thick layers, I'll say the maid did not clean properly for at least 20 times of guest use. If you notice in clean hotels, after one shower, there's no way you can see such obvious marks and the valves are still shining clean. Bathroom floor tiles had marks of months not being brushed, just being wiped by cloth. The bed sheet looked like it was not been changed. The blanket looked better. My husband felt itchy when sleeping but I did not. Not generous with wifi: only 2 hours for free. What's weirder is they have a round box of cotton bud having about 30 pcs with a note for you to use, not to take as souvenir or they'll charge 100 Baht. I didn't use at all. I don't think the cotton buds are clean after so many people opening the box. They provide shampoo & shower, 1 bottle each, nice bottles but not enough for 2 persons. No toothbrush & toothpaste. I always bring my own. 2 free water bottles is a nice touch. I arrived around 3am and didn't have to go out to buy. Non-smoking. They have a sticker at reception to fine violators 2,000 Baht. The sticker also says to charge 300 Baht for checking in before 2pm. Most hotels are flexible on this. Nice floor to ceiling glass windows. Nice balcony where I saw a nice garden and clothes people hung on the other block. The walk in closet has a hairdryer on the shelve. The closet door bent at corner so I pushed one inside to open. Aircon works well. I seldom say too bad about a place knowing I get what I pay for. I often stay in cheap hotels so I don't expect too much. But Delight Residence makes me think of a "khaem" (stingy) guesthouse trying to stop me from taking advantage of them. My husband is very upset and will never return. I'm not upset but I'll stay elsewhere next time.
