"Good Choise, Good Value"
I wanted a budget accommodation with a bit of privacy in a modern spot. I was lucky to have a pad with a window which made all the difference. The room itself also had windows, something to request if you get depressed otherwise. The boxes are as illustrated and arriving is pretty painless. They will ask for a $500 B deposit for the key that opens multiple […] electronic doorways, there is a skinny lift for luggage but mine didn't fit, so it was 3 flights up stairs. When breakfast is included there is a choice of 4 dishes plus a buffet of white toast, juice, tea and coffee. The installations are pretty modern and inviting, though they won't turn the AC till 6pm and some of the common areas will be hot as hell! Overall a good and comfy experience in the Siam Square area, the sky train is only a short walk from the location which is a blessing. Avoiding the hardcore Bangkok traffic is a must, specially any route near the railway crossing. DO NOT take the bus or a taxi to the Airport or Train station, you must likely won't make it! "Nice and sophisticated hostel"
I fell in love with the hostel right away! The feel is really comfortable and the design is really cute! I love the facilities! I just felt that the staff is not that welcoming & friendly but it fine.. Also they turn the aircondition off midday. I dont like that.. I love their breakfast!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for shopping!"
Stayed here for a night, and it was a pleasant stay. Staff will try to allow for early check in if possible, but that is subject to availability (as any traveller should know). There are several lounge areas to hang out at, and the beds and bathroom facilities are pretty decent. They have a locker just by your beds for storage of backpacks, and maybe […] small to medium (?) sized luggages. Breakfast was normal for a hostel: they offer a choice of 4 set menus with a mix of eggs, sausages and rice dishes, on top of a small toast, cereal, salad, juice, milk, coffee buffet. Location wise the area is pretty accessible. I walk to and fro the BTS all the time, but I travel light. Shouldn't cost that much for a tuk tuk/taxi if you have luggage though. The hostel provides easy access to the Pratanum area for shopping (if that's your thing). Arunda massage just down the street gives a decent massage if you're tired after all that shopping. "Excellent! Shower heater not stable."
Excellent! But a pity the shower heater comes on and off. Rooms are nicely done up, just that when new backpackers come in, the sounds from the lockers and their actions are very loud and it disrupts my sleep. But overall, such cozy hostel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hostel location is the biggest selling point. It's walkable to the skyrail link for the airport, walkable to the major malls (pantip plaza, diamond fashion, palladium...). Super clean rooms and showers. Each "box" has a draw curtain, plug point, night light and a reading light. This place had the most privacy of all the hostels I've stayed in. Only […] thing that could've been better was the AC / air vents. There are no individual fans, and the AC is set to about 27-28C. I get hot when sleeping, so was a lil uncomfortable at times. "Great for travellers on a budget"
Boxpackers is situated near many shopping malls that are easily accessible by walking. The nearest BTS is less than a 10-minute walk. Hotel staff are friendly and very willing to help. Get to make new friends living in the same dormitory, or at the cafe during breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review

各方面都非常棒， 唯一缺憾是晚上冷气真的是太冻了，中国人的体质一般受不了，睡觉需要加穿件衣服。Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent pod, convenient location"
01/21/15 AhNix Singapore, Singapore
Walked 20mins from Phaya Thai mrt, easy to find the hostel. As mentioned need to pay 500 baht deposit for room key. Pod and bathroom is clean with 5 choices of breakfast provided. Location is nearby to major shopping malls. Would not recommend for light sleeper coz ur neighbors might be a little too noisy with the doors and drawers opening in the night. Else it was a decent experience overall given the price being paid.
"Nice boutique hostel"

Love bed in the box concept. Walking distance to BTS and shopping mall. Near to the mosque and easy to find halal food. With the price offered inclusive of breakfast and the strategic location, this is definitely the best deal you could get in that area.
"Good experience overall"

Pros: I loved the PODs as it gave me the privacy I needed after months of staying in dorms. It is very secure and the neighbourhood felt safe at night. It is quiet so I slept very peaceful yet it is close to the busy shopping malls (amazing Christmas lights everywhere). For breakfast, you can choose from 4 choices of eggs then help yourself at the buffet, which is good enough. Good wi-fi in the rooms. Cons: you have to leave a 500 baht deposit for the key, which made me a bit stressed because you want to make sure you don’t lose it (even though it never happened to me). I also felt I was bothering one of the ladies at the reception even though I didn’t ask for anything; just checked-in and redeemed my breakfast coupons. The whole place feels a bit « posh », which is not really my style, but I would recommend if you need more comfort for a couple of nights.
"Nice bfast and safe feeling, for a dorm"
12/15/14 Zinks Singapore, Singapore
Great breakfast that is included that I really appreciate (get to chose western style simple breakfast and free flow of toast and salad and coffee.. at The Period Pratunam premises), and stuff like shampoo and hair-dryer in the toilets on every floor are plus factors. Nearby to big 7-11 and that's a bonus for me. Street isn't as dark and deserted in the night now that there are some other businesses and hotels springing up in the alleyway no. 15. For those who like night markets you would like this area for the night market near Baiyoke, but of course the fare is not as extensive as khao san area. Stayed in 4-beds-dorm, I wished there was more than 1 power plug in the individual pod but I guess then I would need to pay more ;) overall nice design. I recall the service used to be better (i recall the same faces from my last few visits...) but maybe they are just fatigued.
"Unique hostel but bad customer service"
12/13/14 Traveller0078 London
Pros: - Close to the Skytrain station (Ratchathewi) and the airport link - Cool, unique design with the capsule rooms - Nice common room area on the top floor - Free breakfast Cons: - Unhelpful staff. The staff did the bare minimum requirements of their job. They gave curt answers when I asked them questions, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. The most frustrating thing was that they didn't fully explain how things worked so I had to go back and forth to the reception to ask more questions when trying to do simple things like use the washing machine or print a document. - Only the rooms are air conditioned so the rest of the hostel especially the top floor is stiflingly hot. - The hostel is quite far from a lot of the action like the food markets, or chinatown or the temples. - The cleanliness. It was pretty clean but I found hairs in my capsule that werent mine (wrong colour and length) and the bathroom floor towels weren't changed for several days so I don't think the bathroom was cleaned on a regular basis. All in all, it's a nice hostel but I wouldn't recommend it due to the staff. I'm sure there are better hostels in Bangkok for that price.
"Expensive & not overly helpful!"
When we arrived after a long haul flight we weren't impressed to be met with an hour of faffing! We were given our fob for the room- the beds ARE cool but they gave us the wrong beds to start with, so we were using our keys on the wrong lockers . So after going all the way back down to reception, they gave us two other beds and some more keys. To operate the lockers, you have to use the little key they give you plus your own padlock- except keys they give you actually work in OTHER lockers and it takes forever to unlock the lock they are supposed to be assigned to. They also have lockers under the beds but these are all attAched (like one big tunnel) so you can reach around and access someone else's locker. Overall very overpriced. Breakfast included but very small!
"Clean, good location, friendly staff, lots of ammenities"

Very solid stay here! The curtains are thick and block out more noise than you'd think. I stayed for the unique 'capsule hotel' experience and was not disappointed. Free breakfast was also better than anticipated
"Very good spot!"

This was my first guesthouse in Thailand... and I've been very satisfied! At first, boxpackers isn't far of the airport. You can use the airport railway link to roadends and then walk 15 mins max or get a tuktuk for cheap. The room and restroom are clean and safe. I'd recommend a pair of flipflop into the shower still. You're very close of the city center, and 15mins walking to MBK center, siam paragorn. I enjoyed the proximity of high towers to go get a drink on rooftop and bts to reach any spot in bangkok. Alone, with friends or with your soulmate, boxpacker is a really good choice for bangkok's life!
"Worth what you pay for"
10/25/14 BALANCExLOVE Bolton, Canada
My friend found this hostel for the start of our month trip in Southeast Asia, and while I was looking to save money she wanted more comfort. Having stayed here I am glad we went with the slightly higher priced hostel. It's safe and secure, air conditioned, clean and modern. Breakfast is included, and while small is all you need. While we are not on Khao San road we are definitely close enough to visit without being forced to deal with the noise and people day and night. Friendly staff, very accommodating- I came early and they had no problem with me crashing in my friends bunk until mine was ready.
