"Baker Creek"
Lovely. Only problem is it was so hot and the ceiling fan just didn't cool the room down. Also it is right next to the railroad tracks so it was noisy at times.

A very pleasant stay in a peaceful place. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. The restaurant served tasty meals and was particularly responsive to food sensitivities and restrictions. Staff, super friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

"Solitude getaway"
Awesome getaway in the mountains. Solitude that is not far from the stores in lake Louise . It is a perfect little cabin, we had #2 cabin with a loft, full kitchen, main bedroom. There is a creek off the patio and even though it's winter, it's so beautiful to take a walk down the path, and we went to Johnsons Canyon that's only a 20 minute drive. We have been here before and will definitely be back!!!

"Cozy Beautiful Hotel in the Mountains"
My fiancée and I stayed here for Valentines Day weekend. This hotel is top notch! The room was spotless, the staff were very friendly, the check-in was a breeze and the food in the Baker Creek Bistro was incredible. There are no TV's or radios here so the hotel was very quiet; great for a technology free weekend which is what we did. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely stay here again!

"Off the beaten path"
The lodge was fine but you have to be prepared for no tv, no phone, regular interruptions to Internet service and in winter no restaurant on Mondays or Tuesdays. If you do not self cater it means driving for your meals to Lake Louise if you do not have or prepare for a full kitchen. Staff at front desk not that knowledgeable but otherwise pleasant accommodation.

"A hidden gem"
The one little issue we had was an exsisting leak in our room on the floor when we got there. When we notifyed front desk she didn't seem very friendly nor apologetic about this. Although it didn't alter our stay I just thought she'd say more than "ok, I will get someone to look at it". Thats all. But the place is beautiful

"Beautiful secluded mountain retreat"
We stayed here for our anniversary and were very impressed. The staff were warm and helpful, the room was well appointed and awesome. At first we thought the lack of tv, cell signal and sketchy wifi would be a bad thing but it ended up being just what we needed. The only downfall was that the restaurant was closed during our stay. I've read a few reviews complaining about the single ply tp, here is my advice: fold it once and it's double ply, fold it twice and its triple, fold it three times and it's the rare quad ply usually only found at the residences of royalty and tech billionaires. If you want fancy go up the hill to the Chateau, pay triple what your food is worth and hang out with the hoard of bus tours. If you want a laid back, private, cozy vacation stay here, we loved it.

"Perfect for relaxing and recharging"
Great location for totally unplugging and relaxing. We were able to get wifi from time to time but it wasn't reliable. Our room was in one of the lodges and was perfect. A big jacuzzi tub, fireplace and balcony that overlooked the creek were all great for this time of year. We had dinner at the cafe (yummy) and a very nice chat with Nigel the chef who gave great advice for things to do. Would go back to this hotel anytime- we drove by it a couple years ago during the winter and it looked absolutely magical and I've been thinking about it since- it was wonderful.

"Gorgeous place, enormous rooms, wonderful setting."
Everything was lovely. My only gripe is that we were held up with no phone reception to call ahead; we arrived at a few minutes past 10pm and they wouldn't serve us dinner. They didn't even offer to make us a sandwich.

"Nice Location"
This is a nice place but I wouldn't stay again. The room was very spacious and clean and really nice but the atmosphere was stuffy and not comfortable at all. The staff was very prim and proper and rather unfriendly and even though the room was nice and location was nice, we wouldn't stay here again.

"Cosy Cabins"
We loved our stay at Baker's Creek. The staff were all happy to have a chat and fill us in on the local wildlife. Our 9 and 7 year olds loved borrowing the snowshoes and board games. Around the resort are plenty of places to explore, search for wildlife and play in the snow.

"Meget lækkert sted"
Dejlig lejlighed fuld udstyret med køkken og jacuzzi - hvis man ønsker det sidste. Hyggeligt indrettet, rent og pænt. Skal man sige noget, så er stedet for pæne gangarealer revet i cirkler, hvilket ikke helt passede til naturen, og så går toget lige bag nogle af hytterne og kan høres i resten af området.

"Nice cabins .... Disappointing restaurant "
08/24/15 Bergzz
We were greeted by a very friendly woman at reception. The cabins were cozy, we felt quite comfortable. The room cleaning wasn't competed until late in the day and they forgot to change our towels. The restaurant was a real let down with very small portions that didn't match the price. When we requested the away lunches & breakfast the portions were very small ie not enough milk for even one person cereal. The sandwiches were dry and tasteless. The lunches alone were $45 for 2 people. Simply shocking. We understand the restaurant is separate from the cabins, however this did impact on our stay. We really enjoyed the environment, the trains, beautiful mountains, river & fire pits / swings.

"Beautiful views, Quaint Cabins"
08/21/15 Steve C Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
We really enjoyed our say in these cabins. The real reason we stayed here was the location to Lake Louise. The money-shot is sitting stream-side in the Adirondack chairs with a nice fire while viewing the amazing scenery. The cabins are very quaint and clean. The hotel property itself is nice and the adjoining resto is good as well. We will definitely return one day for a longer stay. Recommend an extended stay of 3 nights to enjoy the benefits of your own kitchen. Visited in Aug-14.

Baker Creek Mountain Resort is an excellent mountain getaway. It is snuggled in the mountains between Banff and Lake Louise which makes it a perfect in between place to stay after experiencing the many adventures to be had. The rooms are tastefully decorated in mountain country chic lol. The staff go above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience. BCMR is top notch for a winter or summer vacation.

"Perfect spot for Lake Louise area"
08/04/15 Cdn1960
Our 2-bedroom cabin (#9) was great for two couples. It was exceptionally clean and it was one of the few cabins that had its own parking spot. We were there during a heat wave, and the cabin remained beautifully cool and comfortable (there's no A/C). The living/dining/kitchen were a bit snug, but certainly not uncomfortably so. The grounds and views were beautiful, and the attention to detail was unsurpassed. We so enjoyed the glider on the deck as well as the sitting areas on Baker Creek. We also loved the freight trains that frequently rumbled by (the tracks are about 100m from the cabins). The Bistro was expensive, but the food was excellent. Baker Creek was conveniently central to all activities in the Lake Louise area including the Icefields Parkway. If you travel during peak season like we did, arrive early at the various sightseeing destinations to avoid the crowds. Go back to the cabin for lunch and a siesta, then head out again around 4 or 5:00. The staff were all super friendly and always helpful. I have stayed in many cabin rentals over the years, and I can highly recommend Baker Creek.

"Awesome relaxing wonderful accomodations"
08/03/15 ontheroadagain33 Maryland
Baker Creek is a extremely wonderful place to stay: individual cabins or a few lodge rooms in a two story building right beside Baker creek. We had room # 27 and it was fabulous. The room had a fireplace, comfortable queen bed, small sitting area and two person jacuzzi: plenty of space with a small kitchen area with a refrig and complementary coffee and tea. Bathroom was nice and lots of space. This property is absolutely peaceful and beautiful. The train does go by in the distance: remember if the train has grain that is dropped along the tracks you may see bears. We saw brown bear, elk and gray wolf along the roadway coming into Baker Creek. There is also a innkeeper called Izzi that meets the guest at check in who happens to be a beautiful friendly cat. There are swings and chairs and fire pits along the creek. Close to town with no noise. Immaculately clean, very comfortable and relaxing: an absolutely wonderful place to stay.

"Loved the rustic retreat"

We've just come back from a 2 week trip with our 2 small kids. Baker Creek was our favourite place to stay Pros: Gorgeous setting with a really rustic vibe Pleasant team who genuinely worked at makingreat our stay a good one Liked the split level cabin Nice touches like the gym and bear shower curtains and free fire wood for a log fire Cons: Train noise is a bit annoying and nonstop The cabins are out dated but we didn't mind Very remote location ( a good and bad thing!) No wifi, barely a phone signal... again a good and bad thing!! We'll be back

"A Difficult Resort to Rate...Read On to See Why"
07/28/15 trainchasercalgary calgary
This is a difficult resort for us to give an overall rating...as there are several positives and several negatives about our stay. Baker Creek is located between Banff and Lake Louis on Highway 1A...beautiful scenery along the highway, with several stops for viewing and hiking. The eastern edge of the property is adjacent to Baker Creek...along the creek's edge there are several chairs, tables and fire pits for guests to enjoy. The southern edge of the property is adjacent/near the CP Rail main line...with the sound of trains evident throughout the day and night. Baker Creek is close to many tourist attractions that are within easy driving distance and time. Being somewhat remote from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions, Baker Creek is an ideal retreat after a full day of touring. Upon our arrival there was a mix-up with our reservations. Instead of addressing the mix-up right away, three staff members spent time arguing why the manager had not made a note on file of our room preference. We were given a room in the chalet nearest to Baker Creek. The rooms in this chalet are rustic, appropriate for the setting. Our room was dark...not a lot of natural light and indoor lighting is in need of upgrading. Our room had a balcony, and we kept the balcony doors open all night as there was no other way of getting fresh air in the room...there are no windows that can be opened. Don't count on having a full set of dishes and cutlery in your room...and it may be an adventure for you to obtain 'missing' items from front desk staff. Before we checked out, we went for a short walk around the property...when we returned to our room the bedding and towels were already stripped from our room...all before 09:00 hours and our check-out. There is an excellent bistro on site. The bistro has a limited menu. The food is excellent. Overall, our chalet room is best rated at a low 3, our initial reception at a 2, sleep quality at a 3, location at a 4 and the grounds around the resort and creek side for guest use a 5. Ergo, our overall rating of 3. That being said, we will return to Baker Creek for another try...but instead of a chalet room we will arrange for a stay in a cabin.
