"A hidden gem"
The one little issue we had was an exsisting leak in our room on the floor when we got there. When we notifyed front desk she didn't seem very friendly nor apologetic about this. Although it didn't alter our stay I just thought she'd say more than "ok, I will get someone to look at it". Thats all. But the place is beautifulGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect for relaxing and recharging"
Great location for totally unplugging and relaxing. We were able to get wifi from time to time but it wasn't reliable. Our room was in one of the lodges and was perfect. A big jacuzzi tub, fireplace and balcony that overlooked the creek were all great for this time of year. We had dinner at the cafe (yummy) and a very nice chat with Nigel the chef who […] gave great advice for things to do. Would go back to this hotel anytime- we drove by it a couple years ago during the winter and it looked absolutely magical and I've been thinking about it since- it was wonderful. "Rustic, quiet environment."
Room was nice, with a full bathroom, fresh ground coffee, fridge and microwave, plus an in-suite jacuzzi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A break from it all."
Nice room with rustic theme. Bed was comfy. The train tracks are a bit close noise wise but it really wasn't a problem.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Gorgeous place, enormous rooms, wonderful setting."
Everything was lovely. My only gripe is that we were held up with no phone reception to call ahead; we arrived at a few minutes past 10pm and they wouldn't serve us dinner. They didn't even offer to make us a sandwich.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a nice place but I wouldn't stay again. The room was very spacious and clean and really nice but the atmosphere was stuffy and not comfortable at all. The staff was very prim and proper and rather unfriendly and even though the room was nice and location was nice, we wouldn't stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic mountain lodge. Amazing Location."
The lodge by the creek is simply breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting by the balcony listening to the flowing river and taking in the beautiful scenery of nature. The suite is super cosy and spacious with rustic touches, very comfortable. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay at Baker's Creek. The staff were all happy to have a chat and fill us in on the local wildlife. Our 9 and 7 year olds loved borrowing the snowshoes and board games. Around the resort are plenty of places to explore, search for wildlife and play in the snow.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice and clean. Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You want quaint, quiet and secluded ?"

Then, this is THE place. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, these modern with an older feel cabins are as romantic as romantic can be. Elks, bears, birds, stars... there is even a nearby little river. Is there food ? YES! Dinner is served, Madam... in a quaint woodsy restaurant. Did I tell you romantic ? Oh, yes, sorry... But you'll need a car, sorry. It's on a nice parkway so you'll see plenty of critters, moutains and scenery to dream of...
"Gorgeous Chalets in a Gorgeous Location"
01/15/15 Aspiring_Parisienne Manchester, United Kingdom
We stayed at Baker Creek the first week in September, 2014, on our honeymoon. The Chalets The resort itself is just beautiful. Consisting of many individual chalets and a larger lodge building (consisting of individual rooms), there is a reception chalet and a bar / restaurant chalet. We booked a deluxe loft suite and it was just perfect. One bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, and another bedroom & bathroom on the first floor, there was a kitchen with all necessary equipment, a lounge and a dining area, a balcony off the kitchen and one off the lounge overlooking the creek. The chalet was nicely furnished - though remember this is a mountain resort, not a penthouse suite in the Hilton, so furnishings are rustic and in keeping with the mountain surroundings. The bed was very comfortable, the chalet was clean and warm, and we had everything we needed. The Staff We had little contact with the staff after checking-in as there was nothing we needed and everything was great! Upon check-in & check-out the staff were polite and friendly, as were the staff in the bar and restaurant. The cleaning staff were discrete and polite too. We received a bottle of champagne and some other small gifts upon our arrival, which was lovely and really thoughtful. Location The location of these chalets was just perfect. Just off the Bow Ring Parkway, they are located about a 4 minute drive into Lake Louise town, and about 40mins drive from Banff. The scenery is gorgeous and there is endless walking to be had in every direction. The chalets are close to Johnston Canyon, which is great as a less demanding walk, and there are many many options for other walking and trekking activities. We left the chalets at about 7.30am every day and rarely returned before 7pm. There is so much to do and see! The location is also great for wildlife spotting. In the week we were there we saw a moose, elk, and 2 bears just by the side of the road. Overall We loved Baker Creek and we are already planning our next visit. Everything about the place really enhanced our experience of the Rockies and I would recommend these chalets without hesitation. If you're thinking of booking - do it! You won't regret it!

Driving into the area was like a winter-wonderland. Pretty Christmas lights around the property. What a great weekend get-a-way with the family! Comfortable Cabin with kitchenette and fire. The skiing was amazing into Boom Lake! Delicious dinner at the Bistro! Even enjoyed a game of shinny hockey before coming home. Very helpful and pleasant staff! I would go back in a heart beat!
"Amazing remote break"

My wife and I stayed as part of a self arranged your around Banff national park. Booking directly with Baker Creek we stayed in a lodge cabin which was beautifully appointed complete with open fire and in room jacuzzi bath. The lack of Tv and very slow wifi made this a perfect 2 night escape from the modern stresses of daily life. The location is remote and peaceful. A fantastic getaway.

We stayed here just before xmas, en-route from Calgary to Emerald Lake, for 3 nights. We'd driven past enough times and always fancied giving it a go. We weren't disappointed. We stayed in the Heritage Trappers cabin and the decor/ambience/coziness was spot on. Personally, I couldn't quite get my head around the fact the cabin had a jacuzzi plonked right in the middle of the room - it didn't seem quite right to me, but I gather it is well liked by most of those who stay in either of these two cabins. It was very peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Something that can be a rarity if staying at larger hotels in the area. Check in was swift & friendly, which was shortly followed by hot chocolate down at the fire pit. It was good to go and meet with the husband & wife management team (sooo sorry, I can't remember your names..) and we much enjoyed those few minutes chatting. We went snow shoeing and had the free loan of snow shoes from the front desk for a couple of days - a must at this time of year. We had a dumping of snow the second night there and the place took on an even more magical look....and the little wooden 'friends' dotted around the place, who all had Santa hats on, just added to the whole experience. A nice touch, especially the one peering in through a window. Breakfast in the cozy dining room was very tasty with good portions and the staff - as we have encountered all over the area in Canada we visited - were very friendly, attentive and prompt. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was more of the same. I would have just the one recommendation, which concerns the thickness of something....no, not the toilet paper...haha....(joke with the manager) but the duvets. We had to put on the two additional supplied blankets on our second night. It sufficed but a thicker duvet would be better in our opinion. All in all - we very much enjoyed our stay and will be back when we're next in the area. Book a room.....you will not be disappointed.
"I truly love this place but..."

This is one of my favorite places and have stayed here on many occasions. The one thing both me and my husband noticed and agreed on was the quality of the mattresses & linens. Mattresses are old and uncomfortable. the comforter also seemed dirty, as it's a blanket/duvet cover that everyone sleeps in. Although it's rustic it shouldn't feel dirty.
"WOW, just WOW"
12/30/14 Andy S Leeds, United Kingdom
A beautifully secluded spot in the Rockies, perfect for exploring Banff National Park and the various skiing resorts. When we drew up in the car, our hearts jumped a beat- it was idyllic- the christmas decorations in the snow and the lights in our little log cabin. The rooms were beautifully presented, the staff were exceptional, and the food in the restaurant was amazing as well- we ate there twice, including Christmas day. Just be wary of the wifi though- although it's better than nothing, it's fairly useless .
"Gorgeous uniquely Canadian experience"

Oh my goodness I loved staying here!! Hubby, I and my sister and her husband stayed for 2 nights in August. As my sister had come to visit from the USA I wanted them to have a uniquely Canadian experience and Baker Creek was perfect! Excellent location for visiting the surrounding parks and lakes, brilliant food at the Bistro with many local (venison) options. Beautiful grounds and maintenance with excellent. We loved have the creek through the property and being able to have a barbeque at the waters edge. Can't wait to come back in the winter for a romantic getaway and using the wood-burning fireplace.
"Wish I had more time!"

I was there In October while attending a photography workshop and my biggest regret was not having more time to sit in the jacuzzi tub! The rooms were very spacious, inviting & warm. Loved all the small details. Had a small kitchenette but ate at he restaurant as it was all planned out by the organizers. The food was AMAZING!!! Everything seemed to have that special touch added to each dish. The staff worked so hard to make sure all 33 of us were taken care of. The packed lunch for the afternoon shoot was so great! I would recommend this cozy romantic Resort to anyone. One thing I was not to happy to hear was that they have a "no dog" rule. That makes it hard for me to go back, she goes most places with me. My girl would just curl up in front of the fireplace and relax.
"Wonderful honeymoon getaway!"

We visited Baker Creek after scouring the internet and wondering if we should stay in Banff town or in Lake Louise....boy, are we so glad we picked what we did! Baker Creek was so cute with it's intimate cottages and snow covering the ground! We stayed in the Heritage Trapper's cabin, and I wish I could decorate my house like it - SO awesome. The ONLY suggestion I'd have would be to give us a few more utensils/plates, etc with the kitchenette. There was barely any room to prep food and no where to wash up dishes. Otherwise, the cabin faces the forest, so we got to see some cool creatures scamper through. it was always quiet, and the people who work there were always nice and helpful. We borrowed snoeshoes for our first ever snoeshoeing experience, and got some great recommendations for must-see places to visit. AND the bistro is pretty amazing; highly recommended!! LOVED this place......a much more cozy, quiet, intimate, and woodsy experience than in Banff town. Although it's great there too....
