"Good place, scary location"
We stayed at the apartment-hotel for 3 days and the first impressions of the location will put you off if you are looking for anything beyond a budget accommodation. We were expecting a nice, friendly quite neighborhood but this place is bang in the middle of the wholesale market with all kinds activities going on the streets. Finding the place will […] be very tough as there are no signages at all, taxis will drop you on the road and you will have to drag your luggage and find this place ( needle in haystack). Once you enter the apartment, you will appreciate the facilities, the up gradations and the setup. The rooms though small ( as compared to other cities in Spain) are adequately furnished and the check in staff ( you have to call them ahead ) is friendly and professional. Public transport is walking distance but very scary to walk out in the night given the surrounding neighborhood. Avoid if you want a nice sleep in the night as the streets are cleaned by city staff after midnight and the it can be little noisy if you are not used to it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, comfortable stay"
We stayed at the apartment after searching for a place that's central but comfortable and reasonably priced. This place ticks all the boxes. It's located about 10 minutes walk to Puerta de Sol and was bang in the middle so you can walk to the Palacio Real and the attractions on the east side of the city easily. We were greeted warmly and showed around […] by a nice man who met us at the apartment 15minutes earlier than the meeting time, which was nice. You need to call them before hand to arrange a time, as there are no e-mails/correspondence by the providers prior to your stay. The rooms were clean and nice and appeared new, the kitchen is fully equipped. Our only criticism is that the shower head receiver is a bit wobbly and could do with a bit of mending. We kept worrying it would fall on our heads! There's also no bin in the bathroom. We slept reasonably OK, however it was really quite noisy on weekend nights from people shouting in the streets and music from nearby clubs. The area is a bit dodgy, you need to be careful about hanging around the nearby plaza as some of the beggars were quite aggressive in their approach. There's a nice nearby restaurant serving reasonably priced food. There's LIDL at the plaza where you can get groceries. WIFI can be accessed from the room, which was great. The signal can get quite patchy, sometimes we need to use our smartphone at the stairways to get better reception.
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice, but can get noisy at night"
07/01/14 CudakLewek Warsaw, Poland
We spent a week at the apartment which is located just by the Tirso de Molina Square and Metro station. The place is easy to reach and close to the basic supplies (with a great cafe and meat store just round the corner), offering the opportunity to explore most of Madrid's attractions on foot. It has good amenities, although it is on the small side. Nevertheless, the place offered what it promised in the ad. Be wary, though, that the location is by the entrance to a multicultural part of the city which can get loud at night, so open windows is not an option you want to consider. Luckily, the AC worked just fine. The kitchen is well equipped and the fridge is the right size. The only flaws included an uncomfortable mattress and insufficient toilet paper supplies to last for a week;) Altogether, this was a pleasant stay and I would recommend the place to visitors.

Just spent a brilliant few days in Madrid - the apartment was off the main plaza right by tirso de molina metro station - simple commute from the airport! Great value for money... Loads of Madrid sights within walking distance (we walked everywhere....plaza mayor, mercado de San Miguel, palacio, parque del retiro...etc). The shower was AMAZING...plenty of equipment, the only thing we were missing was a toaster - but cannot fault the facilities - very clean with enough towels, toilet roll, hair dryer, pots, pans etc... The guy who came to meet us to let us in was great - gave us map and pointed out lots of places to visit... E.g. La Latina for tapas. The apartment faced inwards which ensure it remained cool...we found that there was no need to turn on the air con. Definitely would stay again!

I stayed at this apartment for a few nights. Everything went perfect. Right when I arrived to the apartment I had a nice girl Cristina meet me. The apartment does not have any signs but this place is simple to reach. As soon as you get out of the Tirsa de Molina metro you will have Calle Espada right in front of you. You go down only one block and at Calle Juanelo is the apartment. If you see the photos you can see the wooden door of the place. It is very easy to find when you know what you are looking for. The apartment had everything you can need including a coffee maker, toaster, oven , microwave, cable tv, pots and pans. The bed was comfortable. At least when I was there it was relatively quiet. I was never awoken at night. The A/C worked fine. I had no problem with the shower but it is small. Someone else may complain about this but I didn't have any issue.

Appartment was good, with more equipment than advertised. (Iron, coffee pot, hairdryer etc.) Expected it to be nosier than it was. Two minutes to the metro, Ten minutes to Plaza Mayor or Sol. Service needs a little improvement, as arrangements for pick up of keys was not great, nor was the expected towel change. But i would stay there again. Would advise calling to agree key pick up time. Felt safe walking around area as there were people around until late.
"A good choice"

I totally disagree with the harsh French review...and find it a bit sad that this person found it really difficult to wait for someone to arrive with a key. The lady was bang on time, took.the balance payment quickly and told us we could leave keys in the apartment on check out day...no difficulties at all. We had a one bed appartment on first floor, two big windows, plenty of light. Not much more expensive to have a larger appartment and we appreciated the separate living room. Clean, bright, modern, comfy bed, fantastic shower. Free wifi. The closest streets have few cars, ...if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs...but no major issues with traffic or people..the nearest bars are up on the square and no loud music heard. The area is not as chic as up around Gran Via and Sol..but its fine... There is a nice coffee shop for breakfast...left out of door then first right. Good price. There is a Lidl for food shopping next to metro. We ate at Tapas del Mundo at other end of square. To be honest, tapas and a beer or glass of wine not expensive generally. A good choice! Good location for walking to main sights,Plaza Mayor 15 mns,Prado 20 mns.
"A ver nice apartment in an excellent location"

After seeing that this hotel has considrable less reviews than in other websites I decided to give it a boost. These apartments are really nice and clean, the bathroom shower is very cool with water massage, lights, a mirror and even radio! The apartment also has a full kitchenetter, a microwave, a medium-sized fridge, and a good internet connection. The location of the hotel is excellent, being only 2 minutes away from Tirso di Molen metro station and a 10 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, not to mention the proximity to many excellent restaurants which I'll be reviewting (and praising) as well. Cons: 1) Not easy to find at first because the hotel has no sign! but the staff are friendly and expect someone to be waiting for you to hand you the keys so not a big problem. 2) The apartment is not really soundproof, as you get the street noise and the music from nearby stores as well as the neigbors. This could be an issue to some people. 3) The towels were changed only once during our 1 week stay, but i guess if we had told them before that we want them changed more frequently they would have done it.
"Bonito y completo con algunos puntos a arreglar"
05/11/14 Labalbuena Mexico Distrito Federal
