"Great place to stay in Madrid"
This hotel is a great find. Very close to local attractions and food spots. I would stay here again if I come back to Madrid.
Genuine Expedia guest review
What a fabulous spot to spend a few days or longer in Madrid. Right in the restaurant / tapas bar area where the locals come to hang out and meet their friends. Around the corner from the royal palace and other sight. Short walk to metro. Very clean rooms with good amenities. The only negative thing to say is that the wifi did not work too well. However, […] this is not a major problem in Madrid as most bars and restaurants offer free wifi as long as you ask for the password. Highly recommend, will be back for sure. "Ideal location Yet Good Sleep"
06/22/14 Xochitl609 Houston, Texas
The apartments are easily found within a 4 minute walk from the La Latina Metro Entrance. Obtaining the Metro is also very easy once you can get directions from Airport personnel (which sometimes can be a bit hard. Two sweet officers helped us via their GPS systems, although the location was right there on the map.) The Apartment sends people directions, we were just a little dumb. The apartments have an elevator, are very clean, very safe and very efficiently run by several young people. The kitchen, for those who like to use it, is wonderful: coffeemaker, stove, fridge, micro. You also get to use the washer and drier set on the first floor. There are simple rules to follow using all of this. The apartments are within a 7 minute walking from the Palace and several parks and about a 15 minute walk to Puerta Del Sol. A small plaza that can get a bit strange (one or two street people sit, sleep there at times) at certain times of the day is also about 30 meters away. The wonderful thing about it is that there are every-day people constantly walking around at all hours of the day and the Madrid cleaning crew is constantly sweeping and washing the streets. There are millions of tiny dogs everyone seems to have (with leashes and careful to pick up poop--mostly). Another great thing is the Mercado across the street from this small plaza where you can get vegetables, cheeses, breads and meats. The young woman in the bread shop is originally from Argentina and she is very sweet and friendly. There is also a gentle man working on the other side who is from Ecuador who was very helpful when I was buying vegetables. The bed was very comfortable. And the apartment is very pleasantly decorated. One note: if you like to read in bed before going to sleep buy you own 60 WATT light bulbs. I swear everyone in Spain uses 25 Watt bulbs.

I made a reservation for one of the apartments here and made a deposit for it. But when I realised that the apartment was not anywhere near the city centre I tried to cancel it. And this was the very next day, 19 days prior to the check in date. The cancelling policy on their site clearly allows this. But when I emailed them I got no reply. And it was the same when I sent them another email... and another. No reply and no money back. So I highly recommend not booking these apartments.
"Very good stay in Madrid center"

Very nice place in a very nice position close to the center in the "La Latina" area. Price extremely convenient for the high quality of the accomodation. Very clean and with new forniture, clean robes for the bathroom and the beds. Room for 4 not really big.. but we did not spent much time in house and for 85 euros it was anyway a very good deal! Reception service is very good and friendly, both in the booking and pre-visit informations and during the stay in the opening hours. .
"Little more and could be excellent"

These flats are nice, new and beautifully decorated and have excellent location. They get quite expensive because they dont include breakfast and gave us a marital bedroom when we only ordered a double bedroom. When we complained about this they said that to have a two bed bedroom we should pay extra. Little bit more attention to service instead of money and they could be awesome.
"Cozy Apartment in a Slightly Dodgy Neighbourhood"

I liked the view from the apartment and it was a good stroll away from the Madrid Centro. Hard to find and the reception was not very helpful in giving directions from where we were even though we told her we were lost. Small bathroom. Was a bit of a squeeze for 3 people. One of us had to sleep on the pull-out sofa.
"good value, great location, interior experience lacking"

This well-appointed apartment is clean and basic, and offers very good value for the location. Situated in a pleasant and scenic neighbourhood, it is walking distance to La Latina metro, the mercado de la cebada, many of Madrid's major tourist destinations, restaurants & tapas bars. Our first critique was the lack of natural light inside the apartment. The windows of our apartment looked out into the interior open-air courtyard that contained the elevator and bridges linking all the floors of the building. The upside was that we were not bothered by the vibrant (aka: noisy) night life on the Calle de Los Mancebos side - the downside was that the apartment was dark, even during the day, and so it wasn't very welcoming if you just wanted to relax in your own space for a while. Second critique: the building is supposed to be non-smoking but our sleep was interrupted by the smell of cigarette smoke for two nights. We didn't know if the hvac is shared between apartments or whether night-time revellers were smoking near the intake. In any case, we had to leave the a/c off at night for half of our trip in order to get a proper night's sleep. In all, it is a decent apartment that offers value for money. A better interior experience would have helped this establishment score higher - for us it was only a low-average.
"Excellent location, but..."

We arrived at 6 pm on Saturday and wanted to check in quickly in order to drop off the car and start exploring the city. At first glance everything was fine, however, I noticed that there were not enough towels. On leaving we asked the lady at the reception to check, and she even put down the number of the apartment. We came back at 1 am, and did not find the towels. Neither did we find the linen for the sofa (the place was rented as an apartment that sleeps three). I had to make a phone call and raise my voice. The towels and the linen were brought 30 minutes later. This was the only thing that somewhat spoilt the weekend in Madrid. Hope, it's a one-time blunder.
"Great location for a weekend in Madrid"
10/12/12 Jenny F Toulouse, France
Large 1 bed apartment with high ceilings and balcony overlooking road - very comfortable. Everything you could need (and they will even apparently lend you a kettle!). Though hard to find (it's in a one way street with a blind end) the location is ideal - ambience of a residential quarter, small squares nearby with plenty of places to eat; where residents sit in the warm evening air discussing the day's events over a beer/meal. Bar next door but doesn't disturb, just adds to atmosphere. The apartment is 10 mins from the Palace, gardens, and good tapas at Plaza St Miguel Market (a bit upmarket and foodie but wonderful tapas and atmosphere). Very helpful staff. A real find - would definitely stay again.
"Hassle free apartment, Decent Location"
Pros: - Nice Location. 10 mins walk to Palace. 15 mins walk to Sol. - Various good restaurants and bars just below the apartment. So the area is pretty much lively round the clock and filled with youngsters. - Supermarkets and other shops nearby. 2 mins walk. - Co operative person sitting at reception. Good English and helpful with maps and other information. - very spacious apartment. Nice kitchen with all necessary utensils. TV, clean bathroom, decent furniture, microwave, refrigerator, air conditioning, sofa bed, etc all available in the room. - super fast internet Cons: Reception open till 10 pm in the night. Towels changed over three days and bed linen replaced weekly.
"Will stay there next visit"

The small suite was very comfortable and clean and the location is very convenient. The staff is friendly and went out of the way to accommodate special requests including editing a wedding toast in Spanish.
