"More of a hostel than a hotel, but a good one!"
Location is superb, as are staff. Free breakfast is excellent with a variety of different sweet and savoury options on fresh bread, and you can squeeze your own orange juice. Rooms are very small indeed, but very well laid out. We didn't have problems waiting for bathrooms, but hot water ran out very quickly indeed, and especially if someone else was […] using another bathroom at the same time, which was really disappointing. "Good for a few nights"
I stayed here for 2 nights and would say the price accurately reflects what you get out of the place. The neighborhood seems very sketchy but I was a single female and was fine the whole time. The rooms felt very similar to staying in a University dorm life - room and shared bathrooms. They were clean and bare. I really liked the whole "story" theme […] of the guesthouse - there were quotes everywhere. Breakfast was okay (not as amazing as the reviews would suggest) but the staff was very friendly. One thing to note is that the walls are very thin. In the morning, we were woken up by the staff cleaning the room next to ours - we could hear everything so much that it felt like they were in our rooms. Just beware that you might not be able to sleep in! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel with reasonable price!"
The hotel is very lovely, we stayed in a room with en-suite bathroom. The room is lovely and clean, only downside is we went there the beginning of May and the weather was kinda warm--had to open the window. By that, there were noises from the street below. (The location is excellent, near everything but the neighbourhood is not so great) The staff […] were very nice and attentive. They have the "tiny terrace" which is located on the same floor with our room- top floor. It is vwry relaxing to sit out there and enjoy the cool breeze and sun. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I loved this beautiful place. The hotel is by a lively, central Lisbon square, right by Roussio metro - perfect if you're seeing Lisbon for the first time and want to see all the sights. Our cheery room was small but had all the basics. The beds were comfortable and after all of our adventures, I had no problem sleeping off. The only improvement would be to have more storage. Whilst we had to share the WC with one other couple, it was always kept clean and inviting. There is a wonderful cosy area filled with travel books where guests can get refreshments, play guitar and hang out. The free breakfast is also served in this communal area. There is also a tiny (yet absolutely gorgeous) roof terrace where we spent one night under the stars. We thought that there would be free WiFi but for the first day and a half, this was not available due to a recent storm. The staff were very apologetic about this and we had intermittent WiFi on the last day and a half. Finally, the staff are so helpful and friendly, willing to give advice on things to see and where to eat (note: Casa do Alentejo was amazing!) All in all, a fantastic place and I can't wait to return!

Small place in a great location. Easy public transportation all around. Can visit most of the city quarters on foot. The staff is great and very helpful. Place is clean. Breakfast fantastic. The only negative I can find is the noise level. If you have a room on the first floor, the noise from the streets is pretty high even in the middle of the night. During the winter months it should not be an issue but during the summer months do not forget to bring some ear plugs. Beds are comfortable but our room was tiny which we did not mind except for the lack of shelving space. No room to put our stuff and no towel racks, this could be easily fixed by management. Recommendation A+
"Great location, very friendly staff, nice place"

Excellent location to visit lisbon and enjoy his night life. Very friendly staff. All of this in an authentic lisboa house. Placed closed to Rossio Square and bairro alto at 10 min walk from one off the night center area. The GuestHouse is in front of Rossio square, therefore there is a little bit of outside noise, but totally acceptable
"Excellent, what can I complain?"

Everything was more than expected. This is a wonderful guesthouse. I stayed in a room w/ a shower room. The shower booth is small but is useful. Breakfast covers bread, serial, fruits, yogurt, coffee, milk, orange juice, ham, and cheese. The location is close to Figuaira plaza and Rossio Plaza, both are terminals for bus and tram. Subway Rossio station is within 3 min. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always willing to help you w/ your problem. Restaurants are near-by. The famous Baixa district is within 5 min walk. Wifi was much faster than expected; > 1.5 Mbps! I would definitely recommend this hotel for any future visit, on business or on vacation.
"Charming guesthouse in great location"

Really enjoyed our stay here! Incredibly friendly staff, who were very helpful. Super for travellers on a budget, particularly as it is in a great location and kept incredibly clean. There was a wide variety of breakfast food on offer and visitors had use of the kitchen, which had a fridge, microwave and facilities to make freshly squeezed orange juice! Also the reception desk was manned 24/7. This made it feel much safer and we could come and go at our convenience. The lounge area had a cool vibe and a good view! Not given 5 stars as it was a little noisy at night and the room was quite small (no wardrobe/storage units or safe). This was not not much of a problem for us as we only had a short stay but this may be an issue for travellers who want more time in the city. Otherwise, highly recommend and excellent value!

It was fantastic! The staff were friendly and knowledgable, the breakfasts were delicious, and the location was ideal. Definitely recommend. Bringing food back and dinning in the lounge at the end of the day was convenient and comfortable. The location of the guesthouse was convenient for getting food and for exploring the city.
"Nice low budget hotel in the center of Lisbon"

My friend and I had a super stay at Lisbon Guesthouse. Very friendly staff, charming small rooms, clean bathrooms. Sweet and tiny roof top terrace. All in all a great place to start discovering the city if you don't need a kings ize bed and huge room space. And if you are willing to walt the stairs. No lift. But that's what Lisbon is about, right? Stairs and stairs.
"Charming, comfortable, & clean"

I was pleasantly surprised by how cute & charming Lisbon Story Guesthouse is. I'd booked it looking for an affordable & central location for a couple of days in Lisbon and the Lisbon Story Guesthouse fitted the bill. Having booked a room with a shared bathroom I wasn't sure what to expect, but was very happy with the bathroom facilities. They were modern, clean, well maintained, & the other guests kept them clean too. My room, Culturas, was comfortable for me travelling solo. I also liked the personality of the Lisbon Story Guesthouse, within the common room facilities, tiny terrace, and that they support the under privileged in the community. I would return to & also would highly recommend Lisbon Story Guesthouse to anyone looking for an affordable & centrally located accommodation in Lisbon.

We are a family of 4 and had a super stay in Lisbon Story. We found it by chance on-line- it is superbly located downtown in Lisbon- the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. We'd go back again just for the welcome, kindness and location
"charming and clean, but rather noisy"
If you have a perfect location like this, you probabely shouldn't be surprised that it can get a little noisy in the night. I don't need complete silence to sleep, but in the Fiestas Popular room, two out of three nights it was such a noise outside (from people working during the night I guess..) that we got hardly any sleep, and it was on weekdays. Besides this, the room was small but charming, everything was clean, the staff was always super nice and the breakfast was also perfect.
