The staff were very helpful showing us places to go and easy transport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This has to be the one place we stayed this trip which we were totally satisfied with... this is in comparison with higher end hotels like Sofitel in Rome, Hotel Centrale in Venice Mestre, and Hotel Lloyd in Rome. Although it did not look much of a hotel since it was meant to be a B&B, it was spacious and clean and there was free Wifi with good connection! […] This is unlike some other places with paid Wifi but had such horrid connection i ended up at the corridor or the lobby just to hook up to the internet. The guy who tended to us (i forgot to get his name but my daughter thinks that he resembles the guy with the reindeer in Frozen) was really nice and helpful... i would definitely recommend this place to friends going to Florence... Everything is perfect. It will be better if the hotel has a bigger door sign.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
hard to find the entrance from the street. The soggiorno occupies 2 floors in the tenement house. Located some 20 min by walk from the center (but city bus stops around) Free parking place right in the street in front of the soggiorno. Airconditioned rooms clean and well kept.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and spacious rooms!"
Spacious room with really nice beds and air condition, excellent bathroom with a fine shower. 15 minutes walk to the centre, one street. Service is good, but limited since they are there only in the morning and during checkouts. Wifi was poor in our room, sometimes not at all. Towels and toilet paper can be a bit hard to get, since no one is around. […] There is a small cooler in the reception where you can keep your drinks cold. Rooms are on the 3rd floor and a really small elevator takes you there. It's close by a small river, so the Mosquitos are really friendly there! We absolutely loved our room, which had a big window and a view of the river and Florence. Five minutes walk takes you to bus that goes to the center also. Taxis are hard to get by, so walking was the main transport for us. We would gladly stay there again, the price was just perfect, thanks! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A comfortble place to stay in Firenze"
A comfortble place to stay in Firenze A little bit of far from Train station (you would need take bus), but this place equipped with new facility and friendly staffs provides all I need. Will visit them again when I travel to Firenze in the future.
[…] Súper recomendable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Don't ever go to this hotel !! We were left outside"

We have booked this hotel from Booking.com. We arrived late during the evening at Florence and we had a lot of difficulty finding the hotel as the address on the reservation was wrong. We tried to ring the hotel in order to help us with directions but nobody answered. The check in was supposed to close at 23.00 (local time). We arrived a few minutes before 23.00 but we find nobody at the hotel. All the lights were turned off, the front door was closed, there were works in front of the entire hotel. The building looked abandoned. I have never seen a hotel in such bad condition. On the front door there were two contact numbers for the hotel ( one for a land line and one mobile number.) We called around 10 times each one, the land line was not answering and the mobile was switched off !! It was impossible to find another room at that time in Florence, therefore, WE HAD TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN OUR CAR !!! We contacted booking.com that night in order to explain what happened and the next day we found out that THE HOTEL CHARGED US FOR THE NIGHT THAT WE SPENT IN OUR CAR !!! We contacted the hotel several times asking them to refund the fees for the reservation but they are not cooperating, I am a frequent traveler and have stayed in hundred hotels. I have never came across a behavior like that. I consider them completely unprofessional .
"Very simple but great for budget travelers!"

The reviews given to date of this hotel are pretty accurate. It is quite far from the center, at least a 15 to 20 minute walk to do any sight seeing, and a minimum 15 minute walk to the train station. These times are once you know where you are going as locating this hotel proved to be VERY difficult. There is no sign on the building and it is currently undergoing renovations so the outside is completely blocked by scaffolding. There is only a small sign scotch taped to the buzzer on the door. To be honest, finding this hotel is the worst part about it. The staff does not speak much English but they are friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. The entrance and lobby are nothing special to be sure and the furnishings are the definition of simple, but the rooms are clean, the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE and the wifi was good (and free!). Also, the air conditioning worked great!! This was a bonus considering it was 90 degrees during our entire stay. Another plus was the large bathroom and great water pressure in the shower. Just what was needed after a long day of walking. I did not eat the free breakfast so I cannot comment on that. However, it is provided and includes coffee, tea, juice, a variety of pre-packaged pastries, yogurt, and bread/toast. All in all, the price of this hotel CANNOT be beat. It is not fancy but it is far from dirty and excellent considering the other prices of the hotels in Florence.

Different strokes for different folks. The hotel name isn't indicated anywhere on the building. The ground floor seems residential. Walking in, you'll certainly notice the unpleasant musty smell. The hotel name is a regular 8 x 11 page scotch taped onto the elevator wall with an istock photo logo of a man sleeping on a bed replete with floating Zs and the istock swirl that meant it wasn't paid for. The rooms are on the third floor. Walking into the actual b&b there you'll notice simple furnishings and a few paintings hanging off the walls. Room numbers are also scotch taped onto the doors. The musty smell is covered by febreeze. The staff is friendly. One of the two people that served us was much more professional. He seemed to be the older of the two. Fortunately, it was this same person that greeted us and explained on a map some of the sights we'd want to see and how to get there. Very helpful. The room we rented, number 33 was actually quite spacious, smelled good, though extremely simply furnished. Occupied rooms are cleaned once a week. There were some renovations going on which meant our nice view of the city was blocked, and we had workers by our window, thankfully shuttered, at 8 a.m. The air conditioner didn't work on our stay. It sounds dreadful. If you have money to spend, avoid at all costs. If you don't, consider the following: our four night stay cost 266 euros for two people and included breakfast. The coffee, toast, cereal and pastries served were quite yummy, as we're the yogurt, fruit, and juice. The beds were comfortable, wifi is included and is the best we've had in Italy so far. You're a twenty minute walk from sightseeing, and ten minute walk from a good restaurant, and a small minute stroll to a nearby bus stop. It really was was a very clean, very spacious room with a great breakfast. At the price we paid, we couldn't possibly ask for more.
"Very good price/value ratio"

We payed 200 euros for a double room for 3 nights (including breakfast). It was the cheapest choice among the hotels that had private bathroom, breakfast and were located close to the city centre. i would gladly recommend it to anyone on a "tight" budget. If you are looking for a fancy hotel don't bother cheking this B&B Plus: Clean room & bathroom, spacious room, right next to piazza Liberta (15-20 min walk from the duomo). major plus for those going to Florence by car: lots of free parking places very close to the hotel. Breakfast was basic. Major drawback: the first day wasn't enough for eveyone. The next 2 days they had plenty food for everyone They should have a more obvious sign, as it is very hard to locate this B&B even if you know the address! Overall we are very satisfied from our stay in this B&B
"Decent B&B, good value"
04/01/13 pltrip Sofia, Bulgaria
Although nicely located near a bus stop and 15 min walk from the city center the hotel is not easy to find. There is no sign on the building so make sure you have the address. The receptionist barely speaks English but was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with a nice bed and bathroom. The cleanliness of the bathroom was perfect but that was not the case with the extra bed cover or the floor mats on the sides of the bed. The hotel is on a cross-road so you may want to pull down the shades during the night or you will hear the traffic.
"Perfect for budget travellers"

Andreas the owner was old but very nice and welcoming. The rooms were empty so he was ready to change our reservation. Breakfast was very good. He served fresh fruits with nice italian breakfast. Room was clean and felt very fresh with new linen. Location was also fine. 6 eur taxi to Firenze main Station. Walk will take 15 min.
"comodo e pratico, spazioso e pulito!"
