Hotel was excellent is a great location with fantastic views of the city. Be warned and bring flat shoes as Lisbon is extremely hilly. Hotel is on one of the hills just of the main street but the hill is extremely steep but there is a tram outside if case you are unable to make the walk. Staff were excellent and I would recommend to anyone who likes […] to treat them selves.10 out of 10 Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Wonderful location above Lisbon with views of the city, it was hard to find but worth it. Staff charming and helpful, good English, apartment really only suitable for a couple our third person had to sleep on couch which took that out as a place to sit etc, Pool area lovely and terrace for eating on great also.
"A calm oasis in busy Lisbon "

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Torel palace. We were very impressed with the hotel and all of their attention to detail. What lovely and attentive staff who could not do enough to help you. We had to change rooms during our stay due to another guest, and the staff did all they could to make this a simple process and were always so accommodating with anything that we asked for-when needing an iron/board it arrived at our room in seconds! The pool area was just fabulous and just what you needed after a long/hot day of exploring Lisbon, and then trekking up the steep hill to the hotel! There is a beautiful terrace to enjoy a tasty breakfast on and again the staff are so helpful. They made super recommendations to us for dinner/drinks and ordered us a taxi to go to the station when we needed it. Well worth a visit!
"Excellent place to stay in Lisbon"

Great hotel and great location. You need to be pretty fit to get up the hill but it is a short walk to get into the centre of the city but when back at the hotel you feel you are in a peaceful oasis. The staff were so helpful - can not praise them enough. An absolute gem!

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely old charmer of a hotel which was built in the early 1900s. It sits on a hill overlooking an old part of Lisbon City with great views down to the harbour. An easy walk down to the cafés and city life but a bit of a steep climb back up. We stayed in the royal suite which was large, airy and sunny. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was tasty and served outside under umbrellas. The hotel had simple, inexpensive snacks that we had for dinner one night with drinks outside in the courtyard after a big day out. I would be pleased to stay at this hotel again as I thought it was great value.

Excellent hotel set in the hill side overlooking Lisbon. Pure bliss!!! having breakfast overlooking the city on the patio was a great start to the day. Staff were excellent and rooms were great. Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere all in all I would recommend and would stay again if I go back to Lisbon. Be warned and bring flat shoes as the walk to the main street from hotel is steep and not for anyone with walking difficulties. There is a tram outside that will bring you down the hill buts its €3.80 per trip each for a trip that lasts for 1 min. A taxi works out cheaper if you are down in the port area. Treat your self and book this hotel you wont be disappointed.
"Four stars for a sneaky reason"

The only reason I give this place four stars is that it took us over an hour to find it. That was in a cab with GPS, and we were sitting right in front of the place. But the fact that it is a HIDDEN jewel may make it even more intriguing and special. The four stars got your attention, didn't it? Well, THIS place should have your full attention, because the service is over the top, the attention to detail amazing, and my only regret was that we were only there for one night. Next time we will plan on staying longer and taking full advantage of all the Torel Palace has to offer.
"Excellent stay in this wonderful boutique hotel!"

We have stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was our first time in Lisbon. We really loved this city and this wonderful boutique hotel! It has 10 great rooms (suites) and a wonderful terrace with a great view over Lisbon. The garden and pool is perfect for relaxing after sightseeing and enjoying the breakfast in the morning. The location is also very good - on a small hill - not far away from the city centre and very quiet. You can walk in the centre - approx. 10 -15 min. Especially the hotel manager and all other staff members made our stay unique - they gave us wonderulf restaurant recommendations and offered a great service. We are travelling quite often and are working in the tourism industry - you cannot find many hotels where the staff members are so friendly and helful! We will definitely come back!
"Hidden boutique gem!!"

This epitomises 'boutique hotel' experience. Torel Palace is a small personable and exclusive hotel at a reasonable cost. Both me and my travel companion agreed that we felt we were special guests at some wealthy stylish acquaintance of ours as opposed to a holiday hotel!! (Seriously it felt like a George clooney-esque hideaway!) Tucked away in a quieter but very central part of Lisbon on top of a hill, Torel Place is peaceful and calming yet only 5/10(steep ) minutes walk from city life - if you don't like uphill walking then there is a funicular which drops you off just a few seconds walk from entrance or cabs are there straight away and cost about 5 euros anywhere in town. The decor is incredibly tasteful - vast original maple floors, classic white shutters, vintage chandeliers and super comfortable luxury beds and sheets. We stayed in suite 8 which was huge, gorgeous with a stunning double bathroom and separate views from each window - one of the castle (lit up at night - beautiful) one of the sea/river front and a couple overlooking the pool deck...and where also there is a splattering of tables & chairs to sit and be served your luxury continental breakfast. But I come to the final and most important point -the staff.. Wow. Intelligent friendly and beautiful. every person we met this weekend were a delight and would over backwards to make you feel welcome without ever being insincere or 'customer servicey'! As you might have guessed I loved everything about this place and will heartily recommend to everyone I know. Please don't stay here if you like busy corporate hotels/going on a stag do/ or a horrible person. Torel Palace should be treasured!

A beautiful and elegant hotel in the heart of Lisbon, yet very peaceful with terraced garden and a lovely pool to relax around. The food served was very good and the staff, helpful and welcoming. The Suite I stayed in felt very bright and spacious and was beautifully appointed. I will definitely returned if passing by Lisbon again. A wonderful experience.

Torel Palace is a wonderful, newly boutique hotel in a great area of Lisbon, with a gorgeous city views and easy access to all the main areas in Lisbon. Each room has their own decoration and we were in my opinion in the most beautiful of all, one of the master suites with large windows overlooking the city. The treatment and personalized attention given by the staff is superb and the breakfast is just the perfect way to start one's day. Is hard to believe that Torel Palace isn't the best choice to stay in Lisbon. Everything in our stay was simply perfect.
