"You can find better."
You get what you pay for, and this hotel is no exception to the rule. The rooms are very small, which is understandable for Tokyo, but it was a cleanliness that was off putting. Location is great and close to train stations. The area requires a little walk to get into anything interesting. But is in a quite location. If you have a small budget and strapped […] for time, this hotel will do. Otherwise I would avoid and find something better, that might offer a little more comfort. Great value. 2person room had good space. Really didn't spend much time in room as it was easy to get on the subway and go anywhere. Rented a pocket wifi and it made going places super easy. Also found we could walk to sites thru nice neighborhoods. For its location alone I would recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was clean and location was great.. Rooms are small but I'm guessing that's most of the hotels in Japan... Staff didn't speak too much English but we're very nice and didn't take long to check-in at all.. also liked that the room included free WiFi & multiple types of cell phone chargers incase I would have forgot mine... would definitely stay […] here again.. Staff are very helpful. The hotel is a train ride to all Tokyo sites. Keep in mind, Tokyo is huge. Japanese people are very nice, respectful, and honest.Genuine Expedia guest review
"We'll priced, clean and close to rail line."
This hotel was good. The price was great. They have coin laundry and free wifi in the rooms. The only downside was smoking in the lobby. When we arrived the entire lobby was filled with cigarette smoke. Our room was clean, but small, with no trace of cigarette smoke though. There did not seem to be many backpackers like us, mostly business people.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Practical Shinjuku hotel"
Convenient hotel with airport buses to and from Narita and Haneda drop offs right in front of the hotel. Handy information and reservation desk, convenience store 7/24, restaurants and 10 minutes walking distance from Shinjuku Station.Genuine Expedia guest review

It is quite a distance from Shinjuku Station. Not suitable if you have lots of luggage or shopping. The room is kind of small, no cupboard for your belongings.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Stay at Shinjuku"
The hotel is really a value for money. It's nearby various food stalls and some are open 24 hours, it has a convenience stall nearby which is open 24 hours. There is an alcohol shop for the party animals in us. The facilities are pretty decent. With a nice room to chill and do your laundry. Overall, a great stay at Shinjuku Washington Hotel Annex […] . We stayed for 2 weeks and really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again if the room was to the same standard. Great location and room was always very well cleaned.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Washington Annex Hotel Shinjuku"
The room was small however comfortable. Having the airconditioning disconnected was a minus because you could not open the window. room was stuffy. The Annex was recommended however it was tucked in behind the main Hotel with the reception on the 2nd floor. No key card floor security in the lift.Genuine Expedia guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Boring, Boring, Boring."

I remember staying at this Hotel with my family for a 5 day stopover on the way home to Australia and the room was just plain. The mini bar fridge was practically empty, the bathroom was so small I had to end up kneeling down to wash myself. The view of downtown was so cramped with buildings everywhere, it was unenjoyable from every angle of the building. Overall, I certainly would not recommend coming back here again. Better if I pick another hotel next time.

Room is dirty and rundown. Housekeepers r sleeping on their jobs.. the floor is not vacuum and table tops not wiped! And who in tis modern days sleep on beans-filled pillows? Super roll-eyes and disappointed. Will not patronise again

The hotel was very nice but rooms where extremely small. Paid for an upgrade to another room the next day. It was adequate but still quite small. Forgetting all that though let's face it we only sleep there anyway. The location was perfect so close to all public transport plus in the evening only a short walk to the bars & restaurants. Yes I would stay there again.
"shower, sleep, shinjuku!"

Comfortable, clean and average for tokyo hotel prices, this hotel is for those who appreciate value for money. close to a tunnel where you can take a long, meandering walk to the train station. And of course the nightlife of shinjuku. Hotel seems to be a hot spot for wealthy businessmen and 'friends', along with international travellers and their families. Mini supermarket in the lobby. one of the few hotels that accommodates 3 people.
"Do Not Stay Here If You Are On Free & Easy Trip"
09/09/14 JaneWong Singapore, Singapore
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE ON FREE & EASY TRIP. Yes, I agree that the entrance to the massive underground connection that leads to the Shinjuku Station is about 100m away (not sheltered) from the hotel. But from this underground entrance, you have to walk about 800m - 1km to reach the main station. To make things worst, there are several flights of staircases at various location within the underground walkway. It will be very tough to lug your luggage up & down the stairs apart from the almost 1km walk. The room is so tiny that you have no space to open 1 luggage so let alone 2 luggage. In the room there is a office high-back armchair which is so bulky that we almost want to shove it out of the room. There is a small retractable table which in my opinion serve no purpose at all. When we close the retractable table, we were shocked to find thick layers of dust behind it. When we place the 2 luggage on the walkway, we don't have a proper walkway within the room. We have to hop over luggage to get to the toilet. When we get up in the night for toilet, we have to be careful so as not to be trip over with the luggage on the floor. We have to stack the foot-stool on the armchair and left it just behind the main door just to get around. This is extremely unacceptable as it is obstructing the main door and a clear violation for a proper fire escape route. The only consolation will be that the Airport Limo Bus Transfer is located right in front of the hotel. Beside this, I don't think there is any advantage to stay there.
"Welcome to the ladies floor (and room)"
09/05/14 carnellin singapore
After traveling to Japan so many times (where most of my visits is Tokyo), I'm accustomed to the tiny room and small beds. Usually I'm traveling with my spouse or family, until this time where I'm traveling solo. By this opportunity I'm finally trying the special floor called the ladies floor. This type of 'floor' available at a lot of Japanese hotels in Tokyo area, and I happen to try the one at Shinjuku Washington Hotel. Located at the Annex, which is a 1 minute walk from the main building, it has it own receptionist, as usual , everything is swift and a breeze. Since I'm using the airport bus limousine from Narita, that happens to drop me off right in front of the hotel (convenient at its max), I can proceed with no hassle in carrying a 25 KG bag through the main entrance. Skipping all the drama when using the train. I went to the ladies floor and into the room. WOW! the queen size bed (since I'm a queen....drama queen :P), the air purifier, the special hair dryer with lots of options, the nano facial spray, the amenities, yes, they provide face mask, skincare, not just the usual toiletries. Almost all the hotels in Japan provide shampoo, conditioner and body soap with a very good quality brand, this hotel does too, with so much more for the ladies. There's also comb, extra large mirrors (not just one but a total of 4 mirrors with 2 large ones between those 4), deep tub, hot pack, body scrub, and many more, including a makeup remover....whaaattt??!!! But don't get me wrong, the room is still rather small, but bigger bed compared to other hotel for single I've been. So, good luck in placing your large suitcase anywhere. Staying here alone is great, but the nearest train station is noted at 5 minutes walk, if you're a Japanese, if you're a normal people like me and walk in heels 10-15 minutes for sure, and if you're feeling up to it shinjuku station is 8 minutes (20 minutes for normal people). If you're with small kids with strollers, take a deep breath, stairs are everywhere. Having a breakfast here means queue queue and queue, there's 3 breakfast restaurant and all of them seems to be competing in who got the longest queue.. If you want to have breakfast by 10, come by around 9.30. And I manage to try 2 out of 3 restaurants there. One western and one Japanese. I prefer the western options, even most of the Japanese here also pick the western, the queue can be 2-3 times longer. I also love the laundry room, they have relaxation room that so close to the smoking area, really hate to cross the smoking area every single time but the relaxation room (which is a big room next to laundry room) provide massage chair, computers with internet (which I didn't use since the free wifi already so good at the hotel and all over Tokyo -just download Tokyo Free Wifi app), coffee machines and other drinks. The laundry room seems like pretty popular too, but so far I always manage to find 1-2 empty ones. There's 2 fully automatic from washing to drying and others are separated. Perfect for large families with kids who love to get their clothes dirty. In the room itself I don't see any heater, just air conditioner, perhaps this is like other hotel in Tokyo where they turned off everything during winter, since I went in summer, I need air conditioner and they work out well. The room and everything in it is clean.Sleeping attire provided and comfy slippers too. Apparently this hotel is quite famous and known by taxi driver (perhaps due to the long walk), of you happen to get lost or too tired, take a taxi from shinjuku station is around 700yen. Going back to the airport also a breeze, don't forget to buy your tickets are the receptionist and dont lose it. if you lose it, talk to the ticket man at the bus at the appointed time, he will have your name, so you can still go into the bus, but you still have to purchase another ticket at shinjuku station as their final stop before Narita.
"Your typical business hotel (Annex tower)"
09/04/14 afrodo Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
This hotel is located closest to Shinjuku train station. Many restaurants, pubs, convenient stores, and even Don quixote are in walking distance. At the time of my stay, there were in the process of renovating other floors. I did not hear any construction going on but I did noticed some floors were newly updated. I got the old run down floor. They had the usual amenities (hair dryer, tv, desk, phone, and chargers for smart phones or Iphones. Everything was very dated. I did find it annoying that the air conditioner was not working properly. It was hot, but somewhat bearable. Bathroom was stocked with the typical stuff and was small. It was the cheapest room I could find because it was cherry blossom season. I would book way in advance if your going to do that. Prices will skyrocket as it gets closer to that time. Staff were wonderful and courteous. They spoke English so I had no trouble checking in and out. Overall it was ok. I hope it will be better after the renovations.

"Conveniently located near shinjuku train station"

10 mins walk to shinjuku train station. Along the way, there convenient stores, restaurants, pubs, and some shops. While takashimaya is also nearby. Though hotel room is abit small, after opening our luggage bags, there is barely any space to walk. Toilet is cute, small n just enough to do your business. Clean hotel.

In terms of accessibility, the hotel is more than 1 hour from Narita airport. After the train ride, its a long but convenient walk and easy to find. The exit is easy to locate. You can also opt for a limo bus ifbu dont prefer the train but the service is dor a fee. Very easy to check in and out. It doesnt take more than 10 minutes to check in and less than 5 minutes to check out. We have rented for pocket wifi online and the reception staff gave it to us upon check in. We usually go out very early and return late at night. The room is regularly cleaned and towels changed. Free tea everyday. We expected a small room because we were informed that hotel room in Japan at reasonable price is very small. But the room is ok for 2 asian women and reasonably priced. It terms of location, aside from the accessility in train station, there are several bara and restaurants and mini mart within the hotel. Shopping area, malls and other bar is a little bit far but walking distance. We have no interaction with hotel staff except during check in and out but they speak english and very helpful. Wifi within the room and lobby is very good. You need to bring you own connector for you gadget's cable charger. They is also available for rent at the hotel. The area around the hotel is very safe to walk around even at night. Overall, we have a good stay in their hotel.
