"Beautiful setting in Costa Rica"
Very much enjoy our stay in this beautiful setting. Delicious breakfast every morning, and wonderful helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Breathtaking view from your bungalow! Service was a little annoying. There is no phone in your bungalow so whenever you have any concerns, you have to walk over to the reception. Right when we got into our hotel and showered, we noticed big ants (i mean BIG) that were crawling out of the drain - at least 50. We were super paranoid of the ants crawling […] into our suitcases and our bed since we did see some of the attempt it. Food - to get food you had to go to the city (La Fortuna) which was a hefty cab ride. I believe ours cost about $15US which is a lot of money to go grab a meal. There are no restaurants offered at this hotel however a hotel about 300m away called Arenal Hotel (I believe), had AMAZING dinners. We absolutely loved their menu however I do no recommend you walk there at night. It is super dark - we did it and were terrified each time. Breakfast was great and not to mention free. Overall, aside from the ant problem, the bungalow is beautiful. It feels secluded from the rest of the bungalows which is great and the view is just jaw-dropping gorgeous. Just keep in mind, this hotel is for those that want the view. If you want a city-like feel, then this is not the place for you since going to the City is such an inconvenience. Also, the hotel offers adventure packages which are relatively competitive. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best view of volcano"
Best view of volcano. Beautiful cabins and grounds. Would highly recommend. Liked the fact we had individual cabins with our own porch looking at the volcano. Decorated very nice also.Genuine Expedia guest review
It is a good place to spend the night. The rooms are private and quietGenuine Expedia guest review
The bungalow was quaint with a great view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was authentic and delicious. The stay was very relaxing and comfortable, even though the bed was a little harder than what I typically prefer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to tabacan hot springs"
We went in July and there was only one other cabin occupied. Every morning a very nice woman cooked a delicious breakfast for us. The cabins were simple but adequate. For the price we were satisfiedGenuine Expedia guest review
3-4 min ride on main hwy outside of town. Cool, bright paint scheme in cute bungalows, perfect for a base to explore area. Each has small balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the birds, read, and thunderstorms watching (July). Coffee maker in room with fridge. 2 breakfast choices come with fruit and juice: - eggs & ham, toast, no beans/rice or - eggs, […] beans and rice. Coffee is so flavorful I did not miss my daily British cuppa!! Owners are very accommodating. Asked for eggs fried for a change since typical is scrambled with beans and rice, and jam for the plain toast -- tipped them well at the end of the stay :) Borrowed umbrellas for rainy season / torrential rain the day we hiked. They gave us some milk for our in-room coffee as we forgot to buy at store. FYI's -- Wifi seems to cut out around 10 pm and 'hot' water on dial seemed best at 1-2 o'clock position and lasted for a quickie rinse. Bought a soap at the local store in town for 20 cents (as well as the coffee to take home 4 bucks /12 oz) for our 4 day stay with 4 bodies to soap; the hotel ones are the size of a quarter which is ample for an overnight. Pool and spa are ice cold -- too bad they cannot tap the local thermal pools ;) They actually said they are working on it so maybe the next visit! Overall a very enjoyable stay and I would return. "Cozy, few-frills stay"
The staff was very helpful, and breakfast each morning was delicious. The hotel is a few miles from La Fortuna, and they do not serve meals after breakfast, so you will need a car to get to food and other attractions. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Make sure you know if you are coming during the rainy season - we didn't see the top of the volcano […] during our 3 night stay. I highly recommend it! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed for 3 nights, very peaceful. Downside is that it is a bit of a drive from town.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel - safe and beautiful surroundings"
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was large enough for four and it was very clean. The only negative was that the mattress was hard, but other than that, no complaints. We also liked that this hotels was set back from the road. Some of the other comparable hotels were right on the road and right next to another hotel. Each bungalow […] had privacy and a nice view. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, eggs and toast. The surroundings are pretty with lots of birds around. We also felt very safe on the property. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"nice hotel to stay"
The hotel is small, but very nice. The rooms are little bungalows with a nice environment. People are very friendly and the view to the volcano is niceGenuine Expedia guest review
"Rating of Hotel Miradas"
I BOOKED TWO ROOMS: 1- COUPLE & 1 - FAMILY. In my opinion, the family room had 1 queen size bed and 1 single bed, hence 4 persons were accommodated in the family room. upon my check out, I was told I had to pay $20.00 per night fee for 2 persons additional, a total of $80.00, which I found was inappropriate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent and friendly place, but poor kitchen"
The hotel was very nice, and the personnel extremely friendly. Great amenities, but poor food served in the restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fantastisk utsikt mitt i naturen."
Bungalow med terass i naturskönt område med underbar utsikt över vulkanen. Hjälpsam personal, god frukost, saknade dock en restaurang på området.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I liked my stay here very much. Comfortable bed, good view the volcanot, very good wifi connection, wall socket adapter to borrow free of charge. Kind of far from La Fortuna town, a little over 5 minutes with car. The taxi ride cost $10. We rented a car and I would recommend anyone staying here to do the same as it made things a lot easier. The breakfast was good but could definetely have been better. No specific reasons just my overall feeling after having breakfast there for five days. I have to give the staff some cred as well. When we arrived at our next hotel in Manuel Antonio, 7 hours away, we realized we had forgotten our car key in our room at Miradas Arenal. We called them and told us the situation, and they arranged so that a shuttle bus brought us the key two days later, which was a huge relief for us.

Nice and clean little bungalows a couple of kilometers from the town La Fortuna, with a great view of the volcano! It is a good idea to rent a car if you stay here since it's a little bit off from everything else. They have no restaurant, and a taxi was 10 dollars one way to the town. Good internet access and very helpful staff!

Because of all the great reviews for this hotel I decided to stay here. I didn't expect the Hilton but I did expect a bit more and better, defenately if you look at the price they ask! The grounds are lovely, well kept gardens with banana trees and all! The view to the Arenal is fantastic! If you want to do activities or go to the hotsprings (Baldi hotsprings are great) just book in town where you have all the agencies at competitive prices (no commission cost) or go to Baldi yourself, you don't have to book in advance. The cabins are o.k. it's all quite oldish, there is absolutely no room to put anything in the bathroom, the matrasses are horrible. The town is quite far away, at least 10 min! with lots of restaurants. There is nothing else than the cabins at the Miradas Arenal, no bar or communal area to socialize. The breakfast is average, the portions are quite small and you can only order what is on the menu. Although a family beside us did order sausages for their children! This was unfortunately not advertised. The woman who does do the breakfast could be nicer and friendlier! I wouldn't come here again, but that is my opinion, other people just love it!

Our family of four stayed for 3 nights at the end of December. Our bungalow (#3) was very clean and bright with wood accents and a pretty wooden ceiling. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully landscaped, and we enjoyed seeing colorful birds (including toucans) from the breakfast area. Breakfast was delicious and an easy walk from our room. We enjoyed having the privacy and quiet of a separate bungalow. A suggestion would be to bring a couple plastic bags to put muddy boots in when arriving back to the bungalow from a day of sightseeing. There really isn't any foyer to the bungalows, and it's easy to track in lots of mud. Ok, you might also want to add a couple bags to the bathroom as you can't flush toilet paper, and the tiny trash can next to the toilet filled up really quickly with four people sharing a room. A couple thoughts on the area in general...if we had it to do again, we might book private transportation or look into a bus rather than driving from San Jose. The trip to La Fortuna has great views, but the number of curves and drop offs was more than we anticipated. Also, when driving in the town of La Fortuna, watch out for pedestrians and bikes. They seem to cross without looking at random places, and we almost hit a kid on a bicycle who darted out from behind a car. Four-wheel drive is a must. The driving was the only stressful part of an otherwise very relaxing vacation.

"THE Perfect Property for a Destination Vacation!"
11/05/14 AJ B Otterbach, Germany
This is exactly the kind of property we wanted to stay in when we decided to go to Costa Rica. These are private houses situated on a hillside with a panoramic view of the Arenal Volcano. Beautifully designed, painted and arranged, this property is phenomenal. We wanted to stay longer and would have had we not already paid for other tours on the east coast of the country. This property sits just a minute or two outside of "center" of the town and is very private. We had no issues disrobing in front of the massive glass sliding doors that gave us the view we've waited our lives to see. Ideal location, good breakfast, solid internet and a great proprietor who is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and interested in ensuring you are accommodated. Would love to go back and highly recommend it to all travelers in all situations.

Excellent location overlooking the volcano. Nice clean bungalow in good taste. The hotel ground gives you the feeling of country atmosphere. Great breakfast. Staff were very nice and helpful. Must visit the town of La Fortuna and the Hot Sprigs.
"Simple room with balcony facing Arenal and very helpful staff"
07/31/14 Martine C Baltimore, Maryland
This hotel is a little way out of la Fortuna luckily, so it is quiet, and the rooms are bungalows with balconies facing the Arenal. Rooms are a little dark, but clean and well kept. Probably very nice under the sun, but a little depressing when it rains. Staff very helpful and friendly, and a very nice breakfast is included.
"Clean and quiet with a view"
07/25/14 Kim B Brooklyn, New York
The grounds and rooms at Hotel Miradas were very clean. It's quiet and a bit removed from the hyper-tourism of Fortuna which is nice. A car is highly recommended as you'll likely need to drive to town for food or nearby activities.
"Bungalow next to Volcano Arenal"

Very helpful staff, charming bungalow, clean, with great view to the volcano, only about 5 minutes away from Baldi Hot Springs, about 10' to la Fortuna. Go to Lava Lounge for dinner/drinks, its a relaxed place to be
