Terrible security in an otherwise nice hotel
Do not stay here if you value your belongings. The facilities at Hotel Dei Borgia are very nice, but the hotel's glaring security issues and the staff's ambivalence towards them make this a 1 star hotel. As we were checking in, another guest came down to the front desk distraught that his laptop and camera had been stolen from his hotel room while he was at dinner. The concierge shrugged off his complaint and said he should have put the items in the safe in his room, to which the man responded that all of his valuables wouldn't fit in the small safe. The concierge then added that the man should have left them at the front desk instead, and basically acted like it was this man's fault his valuables got stolen. After that incident, we took great care to always use the safe and luckily all of our valuables did fit (just 2 laptops and passports and such). And we read through reviews of this hotel and found multiple other reports of stolen items. Every time we left our hotel room we had to be very careful to check that the door was securely closed because if you just let it swing closed, half the time it was not properly latched and could be pushed open without any key and without much force. Other than that, the bed was comfy, the room was spacious, the location was fine. But none of that was worth the unease every time you leave the room.

Great location and hotel, spotty internet
My two young daughters and I had the best stay here. The room was lovely, the breakfast was terrific but the Internet was spotty. But after they "reset" the Internet, it was a bit better.

Beware of the old rooms
Not the best location. Staff friendly but could not even complete a restaurant reservation for us. Bed is hard as a rock. Note that there are old rooms and new ones.

This hotel had beautiful rooms for am amazing price. They were out of robes and slippers , and we opted for a more expensive room under the impression that it would come with a view , but it didn't. Not even a street view. Make sure you get the right front desk person to give you peoper directions. One rep gave is great leads, another sent us in the complete opposite direction. Over all this is a great hotel, beautiful rooms amazing bathroom great price- if you don't care about the extra space, go for the cheaper room .
