"Nice hotel just outside town"
New hotel which is nice, and this rating is based on the price which is a bit lower than most. It is outside of town so you avoid traffic and noise. There is a shuttle getting you to the beach and to Dubai mall so this is nice. Easy to get to from the airport. I am a big coffee drinker and they do miss for those of us who need a good cup to get started. […] They use powered nescafe and if you order room service you get a small one cup pot. The hotel staff was accomodating. The room was basic with a view of the courtyard, which looked like it might be turned into a parking lot. It was not what I expected of a Marriott. "It's a new hotel but isolated"
The staff were good and they had three restaurants open. It wasn't as posh as I was expecting. There is nothing outside the hotel so you need travel for anything. The food in the Market was good and the duck at the Chinese restaurant was very good but I wasn't impressed with the eggplant. The room was nice but I would have preferred one queen to two […] doubles. There is no indoor pool so because the weather wasn't very good we never went swimming. The hotel is fantastic and I personally love Marriott hotels. My preferred chain all over the world is Marriott. But this one is totally out if the city. Impossible to get a taxi to and from. It was little bit disapointing, The safe box wasn't working and I call them twise to get it fixed. They stay almost 1.5 hour in my room trying to fex it and finally they dicided ti replace it with a new one. Secondly, there is no door for the shower box and the door for the toilet is not working probably. Thirdly whrn I asked for a late check out The […] lady at resption said the hotel is fully booked and she can give me only to 1 pm After arguing with her she extended it to 2 pm Fourthly In the second day the reception called my room at 3 am! And when I picked the phone they said did you called us ?at 3 am they disturb my sleeping then she said sorry . I know this is small things but sometimes The small things can ruin the whole stay. "You can always rely on marriott for comfort"
From the moment we walked into the door we were greeted with amazing customer service by Patrick. Patrick continued with amazing service every day asking how our stay was how our taxi ride was etc. He even assisted with concierge and went behind the desk and gave us better service than the actual concierge. He needs to be promoted to concierge because […] he gave us great tips on activities in Dubai. The rooms were immaculate the lobby was nice. Breakfast was good. Location not the greatest if you want to be active and a part of the city life and I really did not mind the location as much. However the concierge sucks if you are visiting on holiday. They sent me on a tour to Aba Dabbie and I was displeased because I specifically asked for a guided tour and I got a driver just dropping me off to destinations not understanding where he was taking us and what we were viewing. After getting all the way to the mosque they told us we need a drivers license and a passport was not acceptable. No one in the hotel told us this and neither did our guided tour driver set up by the hotel. I really need to give this hotel 3 stars based on upper level management and concierge however the service we received from lower level staff far exceeded anything we expected. This hotel is located is somewhat isolated, but it's not difficult to get a taxi and get to downtown realtively easy. "Friendly staff and reasonably priced"
Stayed in the hotel with my wife and our 15 year old daughter. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. Don't be deceived by the location of the hotel. As you approach it seem isolated because it is a new hotel in the area of Dubai that is undergoing development. However, it is situated just outside the centre of Dubai but […] it is centrally located which is an advantage because you can easily get to most places quickly by taxi stationed in front of the hotel. Taxi fares are much much cheaper in Dubai compared to London. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to Dubai mall and the metro, and to the beach. The all-you-can-eat evening buffer dinner in the hotel is good if you compare price, quality, quantity and choice. The breakfast is almost the same price as the dinner so makes the breakfast a bit pricey. However, you can order room service to choose what you want to cut down cost of breakfast. The hotel is newly opened, has good facilities and all staff are doing their best. "Room with a view"
I stayed in a lovely room with an attached terrace. Unfortunately, the weather did not permit me to sit and enjoy the cityscape in the distance. For my travel purposes, the hotel was extremely strategically located and I was able to make full use of that facility. The only two things I was sad about was that the sachets of peppermint tea that I greatly […] enjoyed on the day of check-in were note replenished. I would have expected the hotel staff to have done that of their own accord. The second, the Concierge is not very well-versed with directions and time taken to travel to shopping malls etc. Brochures to various interesting hubs around Dubai would make things easier for tourists. But these are small inconveniences. Other than that, the room, the breakfast and all the amenities were beyond compare.
