"Right on the Beach"
This Inn is perfectly located directly on the beach with a paved strip for walking, running or biking. There is a lovely outdoor patio facing the ocean for dining. This is absolutely the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at and was also very clean. Other than checking in/out-personnel are not seen. Drawbacks: the bed was extremely hard to the point […] of extreme discomfort. The "mountain view" actually faced beach homes so I did not feel comfortable leaving the window coverings open. Also, it would be helpful to have a folding luggage rack accessible as there is no place to put suitcases. There is a coffee/tea maker and refrigerator-however there is no courtesy bottles of water and no place near to purchase any- a real inconvenience and a miss customer service wise. I believe the website and business cards/brochures to be misleading as all rooms do NOT have jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces. It would be great to be able to select a specific room as opposed to just "ocean" or "mountain" view as apparently, the amenities vary from room to room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hubby and I stayed only one night for a family event. When we arrived, check in was a breeze. Before heading out, we went to the bar/restaurant for a drink and appetizer. The drinks were perfect. The Crab Cakes were AMAZING! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds were perfect. The hotel is right on the beach and just a couple of walk-able blocks […] from down town! Amazing visit. "Pretty nice stay in Seaside"
Nice little place located conveniently by the Seaside promenade. Room was comfortable and well appointed. It looks like there's a nice restaurant (open 7 days) in the inn, but unfortunately I wasn't able to try it this time. Although I didn't have an issue, the parking lot is rather small...I imagine they must have an overflow lot somewhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel and it's staff were both great! The lighting in the room was not great and there was only one mirror but overall I would stay here again and suggest it to anyone going to this area!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
only draw back ; we stayed 2 nights , housekeeping overlooked cleaning our room 2nd night , had to ask for coffee, creamer, sugar etc .Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was great...friendly staff and a wonderful roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The ocean view room was great for a really close view on the third floor. It was only a block to the main strip too. We loved the fireplace and jetted bathtub, but the room was too small for the furniture. It was pretty tight to walk between the bed and fireplace. The staff was friendly and professional. The bathroom felt like someone's home. It was […] tiled surround on the shower, but not as clean looking, because of old grout. Very comfortable bed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Boutique Hotel"
Lovely Hotel. We really appreciated the attention to detail. Nice bathroom fixtures, soft fluffy towels, comfy bed, real kleenex, great view and many more. The restaurant was fabulous! Food and drink were wonderful and the service was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful older hotel with modern charm"
We had a really nice stay. It was affordable, within walking distance of the prom and had a fantastic view of the coast. We stayed in Morningside, so we had a mountain view from our room. But you can see the ocean from other rooms if you pay extra and from the cute little restaurant downstairs. There was an option for room service, which we didn't use […] but was nice to have the choice. The only downside to this room was the bed. It was huge and the blankets were soft, but the bed was REALLY hard. My hips hurt when I woke up. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I booked the room because of the reasonable price and location near the beach. The lack of enough onsite parking and the cramped parking lot are the only negatives. There is additional parking across the street, however. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the towels were thick. We enjoyed eating at the inn's restaurant on the promenade.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved this place...so adorable...and tie staff was awesome....we give it the highest rating possible!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Lovely experience with the staff, great customer service. The room was pleasing with a great view of the ocean.Genuine Expedia guest review
We decided to go the beach & made reservations the same day. The king bed was plush & the three window view of the ocean made it perfect. Thank you for a great stay!Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Whale watcher room was extreamly small"
The room was way to small. The view was very nice but the room was atleast 1/2 the size of a normal small room.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was clean, great location-walking distance to restaurants, arcade etc. The only con was that the room and tv were a little small but it worked out ok for our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Did not have ocean view"
It was OK. Room was nice enough but while the hotel was on the ocean, we did not have a view which I had wanted. It was an old building w/one old elevator which we had to wait for a long time to come. Best part was it has a good restaurant on the first floor. Terrible parking situation. "Perfect Oceanside room for relaxation"
this hotel has unique charm, is clean and comfortable, cozy and almost like home. I heard complaints about lack of kitchens and irons and, and, and...but this is a beach resort for relaxation and comfort, and for this it excels. this is not a cookie cutter inn with 'free' garbage for breakfast, it is a first class spot full of great people who make […] you feel at home and take care of you. the restaurant is exceptional. the staff is great. and the location/view is to die for. go downstairs and ask for ice, spend a little time chatting with the help, get great suggestions for what to do, get to know the community and you will want to come back for more Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Cute vintage hotel but there are better options !"
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The enterance is cozy and cute. However, the rooms are very mediocre. First of all we were expecting a jetted tub in the bathroom as the room we booked had it in it's description, which we didn't get. When we asked the reception about it, he said some of the rooms have, not all of them! They blamed […] Expedia for not updating the info! They gave us a champaign but still we we're disappointed ! The room wasn't really anything especial ! Outside the rooms were cuter than inside. The "partial ocean view " is really nothing so don't fall for that! Our room didn't have any special view. If you want to book go for ocean or mountain. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Better for vacation than work"
Staff very pleasant. Restaurant was quite good. It's a great location and would be good for vacation but I was there for work and it wasn't really well set up for that. The room was fairly nicely appointed but extremely small and so kind of uncomfortable. There wasn't really a comfortable way to hang my clothes without moving a big chair out of the […] way. Coffee pot did not work and there wasn't an easy way to leave the key when I left early in the morning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not at all what wew expected."
Mountainview room had an old 80's style, small TV mounted in the corner of the room, NO DVD in the room, no DVD in the hotel, did have cable. Worn out, mismatched furniture, dirty carpet, with a vomit stain. Half eaten Oreo cookie when we arrived (on the floor by the window), remained there our entire stay. No fireplace,as advertised. For ice, etc. […] you had to ask the downstairs resturant staff (if closed, you were out of luck). Did have a community microwave (very dirty), on the second floor. No kitchen accomodations other than a refrigerature and a coffee pot in the room. The bed was a king size bed, it was hard and felt like it had a 1/2inch pad over it. Shower was fine, bathtub did not drain very well. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for a night"
The room was reasonable, the only real trouble was how noisy the room above was- I guess we were unlucky to have some heavy foot above us. Apart from that the bed was nice. The staff were fine, but nobody was around for checkout when we got up (7am) which I know is a little early, but we needed to drive first thing, if it wasn't for this I would have […] given a higher rating. The least they could do is have a lockbox to drop the keys in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel has a wonderful location right on the oceanfront. The food was alright but not of the value that they charged. Our room was small but comfortable. The hair dryer was not a hotel quality and there was no clock in the room. I personally would not go back to that particular location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"didn't get what we paid for!!"
07/18/14 Tomi p Port Orchard
We had made reservations 2 weeks in advance due to the photos on the web. Boy! what a disappointment. We showed up-only 3 parking spots on the property. There was a parking lot accross the street behind the hotel. Try that with lots of luggage and no cart to help!?! You have to find your way through an alley to get to the property. You come in through the basement level to get to the elevator with all our luggage. No luggage cart to stop you from running back and forth to the car.We had rented a vaulted ceiling room(looked good in the pictures) for 319.00 plus tax and we were told we can't have that room. Our confirmation papers say we rented that room. We got a smaller version on a lower floor-cramped-worn out furniature. filthy love seat to sit on. The bed was decent-not comfy. The bathroom had a slow draining tub/shower. Not enough towels for 4 people. There were too many scratched up ,worn out peices of furniature in the room. there was no real closet or place to set luggage on.The carpet had a hole or tear in it which was covered by small table. I've stayed in places much nicer than this for way less. This hotel had no ironing board or microwaves in room. You had to go down to the second floor to get to use a microwave in the hall?!. If you want ice, you go to the main floor bar and ask for some!?What's up with this!?for 319.00 plus tax this is too many inconveinences people! I could go on &on.The people were very friendly and the menue looked o.k., but when you don't get what you made reservations for for such an expensive room-I will never go there again or recoment it=not worth the money!!

While the view from the Beachcomer room was excellent and the staff friendly, the room was very tight due to shower and jacuzzi tub right in the room. There was no place/closet to hang clothes..the staff had to bring in a 3pronged hanger for the back of the toilet door. The coffee machine didn't work and had to be replaced. Windows were being cleaned at 4-5 in afternoon. Friends stayed in the adjacent Whalewatcher room and found similar problems although they did have a full bathroom. For $200/night, it was very disappointing.

I came to Oregon with plans of not staying anywhere twice. I stayed in the Shilo in Newberg. It was great so I went to Newport stayed one night at the Shilo it was great. So I went to Seaside stayed at the Shilo it was great. I went to Astoria looked around then went back to Seaside Shilo With no reservations and Kris R. Took very good care of me. If I had more vacation time I would stay at the Shilo in Seaside.

We got upgraded to the clocktower room, which was awesome. Amazing view, and perfect for traveling with kids because there's a loft they can sleep in. Some of the features are a bit worn, I think an upgrade in bathrooms, towels and carpets could make a big difference. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The restaurant downstairs is decent, and has a beautiful outside patio. The staff was super friendly. The location could not be more perfect.
"Excellent location and right on the beach"

Spectacular views from our oceanfront room the shellseeker on the 2nd floor. We stayed for 2 nights and had breakfast and dinner in their restaurant, Maggies on The Prom. They are right on the promenade so no restrictions in watching the waves, etc. Service was excellent except for the young fellow checking us in said we owed him "x" number of dollars for the room before giving a nice greeting. You have ocean views from Maggies and also an outside seating area if required. We got lucky with 2 days of sunshine and record highs in the 90's. Room was a very good size and nicely cleaned and had a fireplace ( which we didn't need) !!! Also had a fridge for our drinks. Would recommend to anyone wanting a very nice relaxing location with excellent rooms. Mike.

Spectacular oceanfront view from the Northwest Timber room. Friendly service at front desk and in restaurant. Rooms are clean but a little tired, and can use a freshening. Great walking path in front, near Prom and restaurants/gift shops. Short drive to Astoria and Cannon Beach.

I stayed at the Seaside Oceanfront Inn for two nights (April 7/8 2014). I was in the Beachcomber room. I really enjoyed the stay. The staff was very friendly when I checked in. The room has both a shower and a jetted tub. Also has a new Toshiba 39" LED tv with cable and a Sony blu-ray player that accesses Netflix through the provided wi-fi. Room also had a Keurig coffeemaker and Tully's coffee pods. The bed was extremely comfortable, had a down comforter and very nice pillows. There was also a decent size fridge in the room, along with a microwave down the hall. The room has a gorgeous view of the ocean - you look out to the promenade. Parking on site is limited but they do have a parking lot across the street. I bought a great deal on the hotel through livingsocial - if it comes up again I am definitely returning.
"on the beach, nice view"

neat little hotel on the beach. web page outdated, says no breakfast (Nov 30), but they've been serving since Nov 1. Beachside room 3rd floor has a good view. Did hear the baby in the next room, so would say if the neighbors are noisy, your stay might not be fun. Room was tidy and had a Keurig coffee pot. Community frig and microwave available on 2nd floor. Has elevator, so rooms ought to be wheelchair accessible. No grab bars in our room, and would not have space for a lift. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
"Not coming back"

This bed and breakfast (did not have breakfast available when we stayed) has a potential to be something better and more comfortable, unfortunately our room did not have all of the amenities they promised. From the beginning of our stay there was one thing after another going wrong. We stayed at Lewis and Clark during a weekday in the off season and it is still was pretty spendy. Two hundred dollars a day and you don't even have a coffee table in the main room. No refrigerator so forget keeping anything cold, no microwave either. There was no DVD player in the room like their website claimed should be. Phone was broken so we could not even call the front desk. Took 4 tries before we could make fireplace work in the queen size bedroom. Missing blinds from the window with partial view that is the corner by the hot tub, so next door neighbors can watch you enjoy your hot tub. We finally found the missing blinds inside of one of the drawers and tried to put it on only to find out why they were taken down. Only one side of the blinds was working, the other side would not go down. We ended up blocking the window with pillows. Bathroom in the main room had a shower and bath tub, bath tub drain plug would not stay up to drain water. So the front desk had to use a metal paper clip to wadge it in between the tub and plug to keep the water going down. Really? This is what I paid 200 bucks a night? King size room was a little hot but if you open a large window to cool off you have to be really careful because there is no screen on it and all of the bugs keep flying in. If you turn on air conditioner then you cannot hear ocean, so it was disappointing to me. I could have looked passed all of that and not say anything bad here but I cannot ignore one big problem. The mattresses were the most uncomfortable things I ever slept on, first night I only slept for a few hours and second night I ended up stealing all of the pillows and sleeping on the top of them. A few things could be approved on, first they need some kind of table in the main room, nothing big or fancy just big enough to put a laptop or drink on. Second is fix all of your blinds and put a window screen in the front window. Fix your tub and install a dvd player in the room like it said it should have one and the biggest change you need is new mattresses. Providing you guest with some kind of breakfast would have been a plus too. You only have 14 rooms, it would not take much to offer a scone or muffin or maybe some orange juice for your guests. The only positive thing about this room is hot tub, it was very nice but not enough to compensate all of the other problems. Victoriya from Gresham OR

This hotel is between a B/b and smaller hotel, right on the water, rooms w/ and w/ out the view, which was spectacular. thats what your paying for. they do have a dining room for lunch and dinner. it was packed at dinner time, and the food looked good, but we did not eat there. new owners, trying to up grade things a little. the pillows and beds were not the greatest. We didnt really sleep well, the jacuzzi was great, but you could also hear your neighbors when they turn it on. the rooms were clean, no smell(big one for me). But the halls kind of did, maybe some nice Green Smells (not florals, some of us are allergic/headaches). needs a lilttle uplift. Seaside is like a little old town on the water, not much to do, boardwalk, tired looking. if we did it again, we would probably stay in Cannon Beach..more to do galleries, more restaurants...if you want a quiet, read your book place...though...you could try it out.
