"Enjoyed the layout of the suite."
The stay was good, the staff friendly, no loud noises. rooms clean although sheets not changed. Unfortunitly coming in from the fresh smell of outside the motel lobby held the smell of an overfilled litter box.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"All about the location"
It has passed its prime but it directly on the beach and walkable to any restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
we enjoyed our short stay. Although were a bit nervous about the group of people RIGHT outside our ground floor window. And the shower curtain hadn't been washed (or dry) for quite some time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful View but no Wifi"
Last minute stay during a busy weekend when there was a snafu with our original reservation. The door on the bedroom was nice so the kids could go to sleep while the adults were awake in the main room. Facilities show their age but the room was clean and well-kept. The beds were firm and the pillows were flat, which is personally how we love it but […] others may not. Wifi wasn't working, which was a big disappointment. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Location is the only good thing"
The only thing this place has going for it is the location, other than that it was a dirty, smelly old motel. We came through town unexpectedly and this was all that was available so we had no choice but to stay otherwise I would have left! Soooo dirtyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Oldie but a goodie"
I like to stay at the 4 star hotels as much as the next guy, but this place wasn't as terrible as the reviews said. It filled a purpose- overnight on the way South. The room was dated, but clean. I could see staying here for a few days. The hotel is right on the beach, pretty much all of the rooms have a water view of some sort. Ours had an awesome […] view. Room 16 has a separate bedroom and a fully stocked kitchenette. The front staff gal was super nice too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Acean Front Motel - Seaside, OR"
Old motel, nice ocean view...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good fit for one night trip on Spring Break"
The office seemed to have an odor similar to cat urine.....made me a bit leary when I checked in; however, the room, while very dated, was clean and included the necessities; small fridge, microwave. For the price, it was a good fit!!Genuine Expedia guest review
I was the only occupant at this facility so the parking was excellent. BUT, there are birds above the parking area, so in the morning my car was covered in bird poop. They did have a hose so I could wash my car off. The office smelled liked a really dirty dog. The room was in a perfect spot right on the Seaside promenade, but not so clean, and a few […] stray hairs in the shower and on the floor. I know that happens, but it kind of freaked me out. No shampoo or hair dryer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"On the beach"
Not too bad for a divey hotel. Decently priced and close to downtown. I mean it's one street over from the shilo that's in the middle of downtown. Only wierd thing is you have to pay $0.75 for shampoo. Usually that's included in your hotel amenities. Also 3 out of 6 lights did not work. Again for the price it wasn't bad. It was a bed and a bathroom […] and a place to stay Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We ended up not staying at the Ocean Front Motel. When we arrived and went into the office, the office smelled so bad of wet, dirty dogs that we were turned off right away. The office gal was very friendly and helpful though. We realized that the motel is older but they really need to make the appearance more inviting especially with the other hotels/motels […] right around them. All 4 of us recommend that the office be cleaned up and or what ever is needed to get rid of the smell. It is really a turnoff. :( Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location is great, but disappointed in the room."
Reservation problem but they were nice in working it out. Walking distance to everything, and right on the beach, but desperately needs updating. Wanted to buy our own sheets and cleaners. :/Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent Ocean View"
We had a very nice room and an excellent Ocean View. We enjoy our time and are expect to stay their again in the near future.Genuine Expedia guest review
TV too small to watch, room was either to hot or cold bad thermostat, I could get a better mattress from a used store. Nice to see cigarette butts all over outside when we got up next day. Hard falling to sleep while listening to TV from next room. Out side overall look was dirty.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Outdated, no phone, depressing environment"
No wi-fi, no phone, old and smelly, nice clerk who tried to be helpful .. We couldn't wait to get out of there.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was a terrible hotel. It said it was a full kitchen unit and it was minus the dishwasher however there were no glasses only coffee cups. 1 frying pan that would only fit an egg. I pot that I would not give my dog water out of. No shampoo or conditioner. The room smelled of bag cigars and smoke. The carpet was so gross I was afraid to take my shoes […] off. "Nice older Motel right at beach"
I state this is an older motel because some people don't want that. If you are looking for elegant with pool , exercise room ect. this is not for you. However if you are looking for a nice clean place for you family to stay with a view of the ocean and close to all down town this is it. We had a great time watching the ocean, walking on the beach, shopping […] and sight seeing! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I love rustic. I didn't mind at all that we we're put into one of the little one bedroom brick cottages, circa 1950. ....behind the motel that has ocean views...basically, in the parking area. We arrived late, tired for one night. 10:30 pm. What I did mind was the dirt and rust on the fridge, the lock that didn't work, but most especially the absolutely […] disgusting condition of the bed spring.....brown and yellow stains everywhere. I didn't dare look at the mattress. The sheets looked cleaned, so I just tried to go to sleep. Not worth the "deal" I thought I was getting. Woman at front desk was friendly....but owner needs to be decent ....buy a new bed spring and clean the place up. A real disappointment and waste of money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Paper thin walls, heavy solid doors slamming goin on, noisy motel guests don't consider anyone else is staying here. everything is bolted down against thieves, but who would want to take any of this, really? The bed caves in the center the pillows are stuffed with bark and coconut shells, headache, backache. 125 bucks a night, and there is an oceanfront view for sure, but there may be a sizable blob of dog doo on the motel grass right there in front of yr window. Nobody cares. this place is very grim and grossly overpriced. You don't want to stay here. Not here. Stains on the bedding, sheets that do not properly fit the mattress. Be better to stay at some lesser expensive place a few blocks from the ocean front than this dive.

We normally stay in the #9 cabin. This time was in an ocean front room. The room was clean and the view is wonderful. My only complaint is if I'm paying almost $150 a night, I shouldn't have to pay for shampoo and conditioner when all the other hotels supply it for free.
"Only thing good was view and comfortable bed"
03/04/14 Nanizl Portland, Oregon
Felt like I was in section 8. Room smelled old and bathroom had tape on the walls and rust stains under the sink . We arrived and was told their computer crashed and was asked if we wanted an upgrade to an upper level floor since they had given our room to someone else. We really had no choice. If that was an upgrade, I couldn't image what the lower level would have been like. The walls are so thin you could have a conversation with the people next to you. The doors to all the rooms close so loud it sounds like a bomb everytime one is shut. Didn't even supply shampoo. Called to have coffee packet delivered to room and never was. We found a 20% off the 2nd night in a Seaside coupon book and they wouldn't honor it. Their excuse was that they already had given us an upgrade and paid $10 less then we should have for the orginal booking. All in all we paid about $73 bucks a night which was far too much for those rooms. Never again!!!! Rockaway has a great budget place ocean front for $70 a night (25% off winter coupon online). Surfside Resort. No comparsion, way better.

The motel is located right on the boardwalk next to the aquarium, which was excellent. Our room or shall I say little apartment was excellent!. We had a full kitchen, bedroom with queen bed, as well as one in the living room, had a great view of the ocean and everyone on the beach. Is the motel older? Well yeah probably one of the oldest on the boardwalk, but that adds to the charm! and the location is excellent for everyone to go separate directions to have fun!. The office staff were very friendly as well. Have stayed in many 5 star hotels usually in vegas, but the oceanfront is a perfect place to stay while in seaside we don't go to seaside to marvel at the room amenities we go there to enjoy the ocean and the busyness and fun going on outdoors!
"Filthy, old & terrible. Ruined our trip"
We arrived to find a room the size of my closet for two adults and two kids. Absolute filth! Smelt so horrible my kids started to get sick. Pillows stained! We were offered another room. Smelt better but we left the next day after watching bugs crawl into the holes in the fall that meets the walls. Ruined our trip we drove four hours for! We got so sick! I wouldn't let my dog sleep there! My husband is a construction worker and said he's never stayed in a place so distgusting! I was sooo upset!! Don't do it the pictures are a complete lie!!!!
"great ocean view"

Best value on Boardwalk, the only motels/ hotels with similar proximity to the ocean cost considerably more.. Friendly staff even offered a fresh home made muffin .Watch and hear the ocean or step outside onto the sand.Great family motel as the aquarium is on one side and kids activities of Seaside on the other side. Both upper and lower rooms offer great ocean views, upper rooms more privacy if that is what you want.Rooms slightly dated but if we wanted all the comforts of home we would have stayed home. Definitely will be back
"I'm still shocked!!"
08/28/13 S J Portland, Oregon
Let me start off first by saying that I accept some accountability for having to stay at this motel. It was a last minute coast trip us and a few friends decided to make. Which did not leave us many options being that we booked the room 24 hours prior to arriving. With that being said, when we arrived and approached the hotel at first glance it looked as if it would be a great place distracted by how close we were to the ocean front. As we pulled into the parking lot, that distraction quickly changed to "what the hell?". There was a triplex centered right in the middle of the parking lot that was actual residents live in full time! What?!?! I know crazy...but it gets better. From a long drive we are just happy to get out stretch our legs and get checked in. I went to the office, opened the door and was met with the loud stench of wet, nasty dog! I'm still trying to hold out hope that it will get better. Wrong! I get our keys and hesitantly walk to the room, open the door and what do we see? A blast from the past! There was an oddly placed end table just as you enter then my eyes instantly shifted to the beast of a refrigerator. Which was filthy and smelled of spoiled food by the way. On to the bathroom we go....there we see ORANGE yes ORANGE counter tops. I don't even want to speak on the shower....let's just say it looked like a petry dish of disease. Next we have the bed...oooh the bed. The mattress and box spring was covered in what looked like spilled crusted over food, drink, blood...you take a guess it was probably on there too. Luckily we were staying overnight. THANK SWEET BABY JESUS! We were also fortunate that we had some blankets in the car trunk (for footbal season, emergencies & now unexpected crappy hotel stays :)). We made due by not spending any more time in the room than we neccessarily had to. We were eager to check out the next morning...even waaaay before check out time. Needless to say, we would not be lodging with this hotel again unless they complete a total overhaul of their establishment. Word of mouth (good or bad) means carries alot of weight with consumers Oceanfront Hotel! Get it together!
"Friends don't let friends stay at the Ocean Front Motel."
07/28/13 TheSmythGroup Baton Rouge, Louisiana
I can't say it's the worst hotel in the world, since I haven't seen every hotel in the world. But it's dreadful. Broken bed, rusty rails, missing tiles, worn out old junk. With the nerve to charge 168/night. Terrible.
"Bad experience ...beware"
07/22/13 Cathy W Centralia, Washington
I made a reservation the morning before arrival, I received my confirmation and confirmation number in an email. After a 21/2 hr. drive, we arrived to be told "those rooms have been booked for weeks" but wait, I have a confirmation number, doesn't matter she says, the rooms booked. There is nothing worse that driving to the beach on a busy weekend and then being told you don't have a room. I had booked a larger second floor room because I know this place sits right on the prom and people walk just feet away from the rooms, I would have never booked a ground floor unit. Well, she just happened to have one available, surprise surprise. This room was very small, stinky and dusty, so we decided to call around and find another hotel and get the heck out of there. Although she seems like a nice lady, she needs to find out how people book online from her website yet show up and have no room! Luckily after wasting several hrs of my beach time, we found a room somewhere else, I didn't come to the beach to be on the phone looking for places that may have had a cancellation on a busy July weekend. Buyer beware, don't assume you have a room unless you talk to the woman on the phone, very poor business practice.
"Our 4th of July Getaway ..."
07/09/13 Stefunny13 Portland, Oregon
My daughter and I always stay at this hotel over the 4th of July. We love the fact that our room overlooks the seaside promenade and while we love to cruise around the city ... we could sit in our room all day and just people watch. The staff are friendly. The room is a little run down, but it's clean and suitable for a weekend at the beach. We like to stay here over the 4th because you can sit in the room and have a front row seat for the fireworks without having to deal with the crowd and all the smoke from the bonfires. It's a little over-priced, but on par with all of the other hotels at Seaside. We always enjoy our stay, but we also believe that ANY day at the beach is a good day ... regardless of the accommodations!!
