"So comfortable! And the owner was really sweet!"
My sister and I just came back from traveling around Ireland and staying at the Ashleigh House was a real treat! We spent one night to see Waterford and the oldest tower in Ireland and try the Waterford Blaa! It was quite chilly at this time of year and there were electric blankets on the beds! We were so comfortable and got a great nights sleep! The owner was such a lovely women and for breakfast we got to try her award winning brown bread! Breakfast was really the best we had in Ireland! The house is very clean and welcoming!

"Quiet, comfortable, nice breakfast"
This place is a gem. The owners are very friendly and the rooms are bright and clean. There is a backyard with friendly animals that my children very much enjoyed. We will return if in the area again.

"Not too bad"
Unable to contact due to two year old phone number listed on Hotels.com. Not hadr to find once we got directions from someone in town. Bathroom needed some attention smelled and had some kind of gunk/rust on toothbrush holder. Owner sets a nice table and serves a good breakfast. Overall adequate. Would stay again if pressed.

"nice b&b in Waterford"
This is a nice b&b not too far from Waterford downtown. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast options are many, and all yummy. the pub across the street offers dinner. Great choice if you want to enjoy a pint or two without worrying about driving back home...

"Owner cancelled our reservation"
Booked 6 months previous for two couples, but when we arrived after considerable difficulty finding the location due to the inability of the GPS to recognise the address- the owner advised that she had cancelled our rooms that morning. Only one room was vacant and someone had phoned and booked the other room. We provided her with documented confirmation of our reservation - but to no avail. She did find us alternative location - but it was a rural location a few minutes out of town along the motorway and not possible to walk for a drink or supper.

"Best B&B I've stayed at"
Spent three nights at this B&B. Owner/operator Phylis was very friendly and helpful. B&B itself was well presented and very comfortable as well. Only a short distance from local pub restaurant and only a few miles from the city centre.

"Fantastic, warm Irish Hospitality"
If you are going to Waterford then Ashleigh House B & Bis a must, even if you were not planning to stay - detour. From the moment we walked in and greeted by Phyllis, offering a much needed beverage and apple pie it was all first class. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast - divine. Would go back to Waterford to stay with Phyllis again. It is a must to stay more than 1 night. The best of warm Irish hospitality that was not matched elsewhere.

"Warm and Cozy"

Phyllis is very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay in her B&B. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast, brown bread is famous, free parking, all here at Ashleigh? Very close to many sightseeing activities. Waterford tour to begin, eat at the Quay and shopping. Phyllis is very sweet and I can see why she has been doing this so long.

Staying at the Ashleiigh B and B was a wonderful experience. Phyllis goes out of her way to welcome you, and provides a homey atmosphere with wonderful conversation and homemade food. Her brown bread won national awards and tasting it was proof! We loved it! We would recommend this B & B highly!

From the moment we arrived into Phyllis' home we felt welcome, our bedroom was cosy and the beds very comfortable. We were able to choose from a selection of local homemade products for breakfast and it was delicious. We also loved having a chat and laugh with Phyllis whilst having a coffee. Thank you for your hospitality.

A lovely B&B just outside of Waterford. This was my husband's favorite B&B in Ireland. The room was large and clean with free parking and free wifi all at a reasonable price. I imagine the backyard to be lovely in the summer. Phyllis was friendly and helpful. She was able to tell us how to easily get into town and where to park for convenience to see the sights. Her breakfast was excellent. You will need a car to stay here, but you can walk across the street for pub food and a pint at night. We had no complaints and I would recommend staying here if visiting Waterford.

"Warm Irish welcome"

The entire experience was warm and inviting. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a kettle and assortment of teas - welcome after a long day of driving. The wine and beer offered for a fee in the lounge was a bonus. We were able to visit with Phyllis as she served us our delicious breakfast. She is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some valuable tips regarding our visit to Waterford. A lovely experience we would recommend.

"Delicious breakfast and charming hosts"
10/21/15 hornetvbmom Minneapolis, Minnesota
Our room in the Ashleigh House had beautiful knotty oak floors and woodwork, was impeccably clean and had a very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. The small bathroom had a shower with excellent water pressure and toiletries. The hosts, Phyllis and TJ were delightful, helpful in providing maps and directions for parking in Waterford. We did have trouble finding the B&B, given the lack of street numbers, but if you are looking for it, look for the entrance across from a pub. There is plenty of parking in front of the house (off-street) and the Ashleigh House is about a 10 min drive from downtown Waterford. You order your breakfast the night before from several choices, including Irish breakfast, poached or scrambled eggs, French toast. They also have homemade bread and jams (made by Phyllis) and fresh coffee. Everything was delicious! If you have a car, this is a terrific place to stay, quiet and very comfortable and TJ is hilarious. It was lots of fun talking to this charming couple. I highly recommend the Ashleigh House.

"Wonderful hosts and great breakfast"

Phyllis is such a lovely person. I didn't get to meet her husband but my fellow travelers said he was very nice. Our stay was comfortable. The house is located about 5 minutes from the city center. Easy to get in and out. Our bed was firm but comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, rhubarb compote and homemade jam - don't miss it. The rooms had plenty of space and the shower had great water pressure. There is a pub just across the street and down a bit. Easy to walk to. I was worried we would have road noise and we did not. One nice things was that the hallways had wood floors so it was easy to move suitcases in and out. I highly recommend staying here if you are planning to visit Waterford.

"Best B&B Ever!"
09/18/15 Josh309 Indy
Showed up late (about 9 pm) after LONG ferry crossing from Pembrook Wales to Rosslere, Ireland. Phyllis was very nice about it and showed us to our room and made my wife some hot tea. Beautiful room will a full and 2 twins, private room shower and bath. Room appears new due to upkeep and pride in their business. Breakfast to order and we decided to have the traditional Irish one. Bacon, sausage, eggs and potato with toast. Various fruits with coffee, tea, etc. Most excellent. We didn't get to use the separate family room that was provided for guests. Highly rated pub/tavern/restaurant across the street in a quiet rural setting very close to Waterford. Top quality comfort and food for a very modest price. We plan on coming to Ireland to tour the area and will use this area as our daily base. Hopefully, we can book this B&B for that tour. Right after we showed up another lady rang and asked about a room. Even though she was booked up, Phyllis was trying to help her find a room at another B&B. Cannot say enough good things about TJ and Phyllis!
