"Overall, great B & B"
Overall, we really enjoyed this B&B. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip, and the owner was kind enough to get us a card and upgrade our room. What a nice surprise! She was also very helpful in making us a dinner reservation. The only thing that I would say wasn't quite what we were hoping for was that there were several bottles of half used […] toiletries (body wash) in the bathroom, which was a bit off-putting. This may be an effort to conserve and all that towards sustainability, but I just feel that each guest should get fresh "individual bottles" of body wash, etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful in Waterford"
My daughters and I enjoyed our stay at this B&B! We were greeted by Des, who first made a dinner arrangement for us and then served us tea and refreshments before we went out for the night. We enjoyed the restaurant that was recommended and found that Des was very knowledgeable of all that Waterford has to offer it's visitors. Our room was very clean, […] nicely decorated and the beds were the most comfortable of any on our trip. We enjoyed the free Wi-Fi as that was our only way of communicating with family in the U.S.A. Breakfast the next day was served by Susan and Des who are very pleasant and friendly. The servings were very healthy and breakfast was very good. It is apparent that Susan and Des love what they do. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the Samuel Heritage Bed and Breakfast wholeheartedly! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

who Samuel was, couldn't get a word in edge-ways, but we were looked after wonderfully well by Susan and Des, great rooms, excellent breakfast, in Ireland B&B is taken to a totally new level, why stay in an hotel? We arrived late off the Pembroke ferry, dropped the bags and shot down to Dunmore East for a superb fish supper at the Strand hotel. Onwards from there down to West Cork in 3+ hours the next day.
"One of the best b&b I have stayed in."

We stayed on our way to Castletonwhend for 1 night. Susan is larger than life and a real live wire. Greeted at the door and shown to a really modern huge room with massive bed and lovely bathroom. Breakfast had everything from fresh fruit to a full Irish!! This is a fantastic B&B run by a really enthusiastic couple making it the tops.

Anytime you are anywhere near Waterford City and need a place to stay, Samuels Heritage B&B is a MUST!!! From the time you arrive, you will be treated as if you are staying at a 5-star hotel. Susan and Des are wonderful hosts and truly want you to enjoy yourself no matter how short or how long you stay with them. Susan and Des are true professionals and it shows so clearly in all aspects of their B&B. They have a great breakfast menu and the quality and quantity of everything they serve is superb!! My wife, grand daughter and I recently stayed two nights at Samuels Heritage and the three of us were very happy with our stay and would have loved to have been able to stay longer. Our room was excellent in every way and much larger than the norm. Thank you Susan and Des for a most enjoyable experience!!! Wayne, Linda and Tessa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had spent more than one night here to explore more of the local area. Excellent accommodation; warm welcome; fantastic views and delicious breakfast. Can recommend Samuel's Heritage without hesitation. A big thank you to Sue and Des.

Samuel's Heritage Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful place for us to stay in Waterford for 2 nights. Susan and Des are great hosts, and their hospitality and helpfulness were amazing. The location is perfect, just 5 kilometers from the center of Waterford. Quiet location in the hills with fantastic views. Breakfast was great each morning. Thank you!
"Fantastic! Lovely hosts"

We loved Samuel's Inn. Susan and Des are amazing. They strive to only serve local food and it shows. Eggs from their chickens and honey from their bees. Heavenly. They were very, very happy to accommodate my food requests (I'm vegetarian). I thought the location was great. However, it was a bit hard to find. Waterford (like many, many places in Ireland) is opposed to the use of street signs, sign posts, numbers etc. basically anything that will help guide you. So, make sure to print out directions. Once you know where it is, it's super easy to find. I was in town for a wedding at Waterford Castle. Its quite close to the ferry so I'd recommend staying here for any castle events.

Susan and Dez go out of their way to give you a friendly and engaged welcome, lovely rooms with good beds away from city and traffic noise, and good food. As if that weren't enough, their hilltop site offers gorgeous views of the River Suir, Comeragh Mountains & the less industrial areas of Waterford. The location invites you to stroll the barleyfield surrounds. Very nice!

WOW, the reviews were good but did not fully reflect the standard offered. Great rooms, fantastic bathroom/showers, great sitting room, lovely hosts, The breakfast had ample and good choice, unfortunately Des perhaps had an off day as my cooked breakfast was all too "well done" for my taste.
"Fantastic Waterford Location"
Susan and Des were amazing! We went there in early May, so it was not crowded, quiet, and had every amenity we could ask for. Here's a note, if you're like us and doing research on tripadvisor and then making reservations elsewhere, try to book directly through the B&B website. Expedia and other sites charge them a convenience fee, and we thought that the money would of course be better spent going directly to the people who provided us a great location, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic service. Note, this is not "in" Waterford, so to get back into town you have a 5 - 10 minute drive - but who cares...YOU'RE IN FRICKING IRELAND, every drive is filled with adventure. Would definitely stay here for a longer time on our next adventure to the Emerald Isle.
"A nice B&B with amazing hosts"

First, I find it hard to recall the name of the lovely couple, the B&B owners...Maybe Desmond and Susan? but anyway they were amazing! So kind, chatty, thoughtful...We had long, friendly talks with both of them, they were so kind and warm!! (We had a greeting card congratulating us on our marriage waiting in the room - we kept it:) The place is hardly new but it is very homey and cozy, we were pleased with our room and loved the awesome breakfast! There was a slightly strange smell in the corridor/hallway but other than that all was well. We are glad we chose to stay there even if its higher and farther than Waterford center, we had a very nice stay:)
