We liked our stay very much thanks to Adrienne!! The hotel is next to city centre and Pisa tower and central station..

Nice intimate atmosphere and high-quality room. Bathroom is tiny and could be improved, shower somewhat defective, poor water stream, one morning no hot water. Breakfast selection and quality really below average. I suggest getting a real kitchen. Simple things like scrambled eggs or croissants unavailable.

In pieno centro a Pisa.... Un b&b raffinato e di classe, assolutamente consigliato!!!!

Lovely little hotel.
It was in Sant Ombono square, which is a tiny little square with a bar on the corner, which we visited and it was fine.
We were actually facing the front door but didn't realise until we saw the sign on the wall, so don't expect a typical hotel frontage.
There were quite a few stairs up from the door, so may not suit less mobile people.
There was a reception/breakfast room, when we got to the top of the stairs, which was very pretty.
All The rooms were extremely clean, and the hotel had wifi, which was a bit hit and miss but I stress, it did work.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the girl who had lived in Ireland for the past 2 years.
The breakfast was typical continental and was good.
In the morning, when you come out of the front door there is a fruit market, which was a nice surprise.
I was for business in Pisa and this is not a business hotel which I found out later, despite this it is a romantic place to share with your love ones.
You need to climb marble stairs and also if you like Nescafe in the morning an hot water boilers this is good for you. If you like to watch foreign TV, stay away from this place still after 123 clicks I could not find an English channel, but
rooms are really romantic so better stay in bed and have fun.
We stayed for 1 night, also in room 6 which had the small lounge area. It was a very good size, comfy bed and once the windows and shutters were closed, extremely quiet. There is no lift, but only 1 flight of wide, straight stairs to navigate, so it isn't too difficult unless you have a lot of heavy luggage!. We were able to leave our bags in the breakfast area after checkout as we were not leaving until the afternoon. They also ordered a taxi for us.
It is an easy 15 minute walk to the leaning tower and there are loads of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. The bar directly outside the door is very good for a night cap.
Breakfast was good, a selection of cakes and pastries aswell as some savoury items and yoghurt and cereal. We noticed on our trip that cakes are very popular at breakfast.
We particularly liked the biscuit jars in the lounge area, for a sneaky biscuit on the way to bed. There are also tea/coffee facilities in the lounge which made a nice change.
Very friendly staff
Walkable distance to the leaning tower. Good location for us a family with an underage daughter. The owner offered friendly advice on places to visit and dine. Breakfast was good with tasty homemade cakes. Our best souvenir was the superb service from Monica in the morning during breakfast time. She was very helpful and friendly and even helped us carry our luggage when we were leaving. The only downside to the place is that it is no lift especially if you have heavy luggage or with limited mobility.
Excellent B&B with high quality accommodations. Located upstairs in a historic building, the rooms are large, clean, and modern. Towels are soft and fluffy. Plentiful breakfast is served in the lobby area. Owners are very nice and the young lady serving breakfast is very friendly and efficient. The location is within walking distance of the railway station, tourist areas, and shopping streets. Before arriving be sure to print a detailed map of the immediate area of the address. The streets are very small and if you come by taxi they may not be able to drive all the way to the little piazza where the B&B is located. Look for the tall green double doors with a name plate to the right; almost opposite Mani'omo restaurant (which is excellent.)
The free Wi-fi worked very well and was easy to access. Owners will provide information about offsite parking if needed. All the sights of Pisa can be seen in one day, but the Relais is a good base to use for a day trips to the Cinque Terre and Lucca without having to move from hotel to hotel night after night.
It will help other people a lot if there is a bigger sign of the hotel's name. Other than that it's thumbs up for service, cleanliness, comfort and location. There is a lovely Pizza restaurant about 3 minutes from the hotel also many restaurants nearby. The train station is about 15 to 20 minutes walk. The Leaning Tower is also around 20 min easy walk and there are also buses if walking is not for you.
Difficult to find with no parking in very narrow streets. Is close to shops and restaurants and the river. A twenty minute walk to the Leaning Tower but an easy walk, The breakfast was good and the only problem was that the room overlooked a small sguare which was noisy into the early hours however with a/c we kept the window closed which lessened the noise a little. The room was a good size and was very clean. We stayed two nights but one day in Pisa is ample time to see everything.
Excellent location - in the heart of the old town, walking distance from tthe cathedral, the market, the central street and the river.
The place has a special character, located in a very old building on the market squire, recently renovated.
The accommodation the Relais Dei Mercanti B&B provided is very comfortable, recently renovated; very well, we can say luxury, designed entity. Instead of one room we received an apartment – the quietest and most comfortable room of the hotel. Remember room number 6. I should admit I had asked before by booking for a quiet room. The apartment consists of one bedroom and one living room, equipped with very nice furniture including very comfortable bed, desk, sofa, 2 wardrobes, and refrigerator. The breakfast was very tasty with variety of ham, prosciutto, cheeses, fruits, juices, coffee, tea, and homemade cakes (specialty of Assunta, the owner’s wife). Coffee, tea, cakes, and fruits are available all the day in the kitchen. We thank Franco and Assunta for the nice atmosphere they have created/ We felt by here like at home. Highly recommended!!
Took is a while to find this B&B, despite directions from Tripadvisor. Walked past it 3 x before we noticed the tiny sign on the wall by the green doors. We arrived during daylight, and the whole area looked abandoned. Found out later that was far from the truth.
Finding the B&B was not straightforward, perhaps we should have taken a taxi not the bus from the airport. Perhaps a more conspicuous sign would have helped. Advised the owner of our late arrival and he was waiting. We had Room 2 (with balcony) which was very spacious, well decorated, furnished and extremely clean, very happy. Only problem with breakfast was inability to get a proper pot of tea, did not use boiling water, so resorted to coffee following mornings. Why do continentals find making tea so difficult? About 10 mins from Tower/Duomo, and 15 mins from railway station. Close to restaurants and the one opposite the B&B, Mani'omio, we found to be very good. Overall we were very pleased with our choice and the "staff" were the epitome of helpfulness.
