It wasn't bad stay; the only real issue we had were the Mosquitos. Even with repellent and a zapper in the room we were covered in bites in the morning. The room would benefit from the addition of a net.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"This was absolutely perfect. Staff friendly."
Felt like we were treated like a king and queen. The unit was beautiful and much bigger than expected. It was wonderful to have our own pool (which was very big also). As soon as we visited reception they were always willing to help and went above and beyond our expectations. Breakfast was beautiful also. The units were very secluded and unlike a motel […] room I felt it was very private for us with beautiful pathways leading to each individual unit. Would recommend this to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet, peaceful getaway for some quiet time"
Down a quiet road but easy walk to main road for restaurants in seminyak area, taxis, 5min walk to the beach. Nicely designed - two-storey villa living which is a nice change from a standard hotel room. Good sized lap pool, large fridge/small kitchenette, bathroom downstairs, with upstairs area with bedroom (four poster bed), TV, bathroom and bath.
"Great Villa and Value"
We are in Bali regularly for business and always stay somewhere new. Mahala Hasa Villas are one of the few properties that actually look the same as in the photos. The location for us was fine as we prefer to stay in Petitenget and you can walk five minutes and you are right on the beach out the front of The W. If you want to be right in the middle of Seminyak it is about a 10/15 minute walk or 20,000rp cab ride. All in all we had a great stay, the staff are gorgeous as are the Villas. Our only complaint would be the mosquitos. Certain parts of the villas (in the bathroom and bedroom) are not sealed, so there are a lot of mosquitos. They are well prepared and provide natural mozzie repellant and burn incense, however it still isn't enough of a deterrent. Really they need to seal the areas to fix this problem and then everything would be perfect.

Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful! The entrance to the villas may not be the most extravagant, but don't be fooled. Our villa was superbly clean, roomy and well facilitated. The walk to the villa itself was beautiful with lots of plants. Overall this resort is comfortable, well kept, and underrated. We would definitely come back again. Only issue we had were some mosquitoes in our room. However with a bit of mosquito repellent we were fine. Thank you staffs, you have been accommodating from start to end of our trip. Truly made our stay worthwhile!
"Beautiful Villa - Fantastic Location"

I was a bit hesitant booking online - as the photos online don't always reflect what you get. Upon arrival, (following our great airport pick-up) we were welcomed with refreshing cold drinks and swiftly moved to our villa. It was gorgeous. Everything we had hoped to find. Spotless and ready for our arrival. They even had candles, a fruit basket and a bunch of night queen flowers on the table to set the stage for our Anniversary. (Nice touch!) This was our first visit to Bali - so we chose Seminyak for the location. Easy access to the beach (this villa is PERFECTLY located), as well as easy access to shopping and plenty of great food options but away from the craziness of Kuta and Denpassar. Again - we were not disappointed. We booked for two weeks, thinking we would use this as a base the whole time. It proved to be expensive and time consuming to make day trips out, due to the infamous traffic and cost of a daily driver. (We were not interested in hiring a bike after experiencing the traffic a few times...) It takes much longer to get anywhere than you think it will. SO... we ended up leaving our villa to head up to Amed for a few days of diving - and to get away from the tourist stands. If you want to experience REAL Bali, I encourage you to go North or East for a few days and get away from the south and even (unfortunately), Ubud completely. Here's the bullet list breakdown of what we thought was perfectly done and what could use some improvement. The list of AMAZING, VERY WELL DONE: - Staff (so warm, accomodating and professional. They are the main reason we would return) - Villa (gorgeous lay out, spotless) - Location (couldn't ask to be better situated between beach, shopping, food and peace and quiet.) - Small fridge is great and hot/cold water for bevies is indespensible. - If you need anything - all you have to do is ask. the staff are on top of your request immediately. - Free shuttle into town is a nice touch - especially at night when roads are impossible to navigate on foot. - Decent breakfast included in your room rate and scheduled for delivery daily. The list of IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER IF: - Mosquitos were pretty agressive. We did lose a few nights sleep to them, despite the smoke pots that were lit by staff at turn down every night. - Equip the kitchen with a tea pot and provide larger mugs for coffee/tea. - Give guests advance notice if you are fogging for bugs. We were given 5 minutes notice to be out of the villa for an hour for pesticide spray and fogging - and were NOT impressed by the lack of warning. - Review spa service prices. We took advantage of in-room spa, but the quality of service did not match the price. This is something that you could be more competitively priced on - or up the quality of service/expereince. - Food price for room service is very high. We could pop into town and have a much better meal in a resto for about half the price. 25,000 rupiah for 3 pieces of toast sounds reasonable at home, until you realize it's equal to the price of 3 loaves of bread in Bali and resto's aren't charging anywhere near that much. ALSO - the service fee on top of the tax rate is obscene. You are paying 31% tax and service on top of prices that are already too high. Same comment for the mini-bar. All in all - we would consider coming back for a stay in future, either as a couple of with our kids. the overall benefits outweighed the negatives and there is always opportunity for improvement. As a close, we MUST acknowledge Kadek Edi - the guest service employee. He welcomed us upon arrival at the airport and continued to connect with us daily to ensure that all aspects of our experience at Mahala Hasa met our expectations. He was personable, professional and had a very solid understanding of guest experience. We were sad to go - and would certainly return to experience his thoughtful approach to service.
"Delightful stay at the Mahala Villas"

What a pleasant surprise my stay at the Mahala Villas was for this seasoned traveller. I had to attend a conference at the nearby W Hotels and was recommended the Mahala Villas by a colleague. From check in to check out the staff were amazingly friendly and attentive nothing was a problem to them. The villa is divine with private pool and roomy open aired living and dining room downstairs and then well appointed suite and bath room upstairs. The food was delicious and quick and I recommend you use the airport transfer as very convenient. I want to come back with the family for a short break as it would be perfect short stroll to the beach and some great little cultural buildings on the way.
Modern, clean villas with everything you need. Continental breakfast each morning was great. Front desk staff were very helpful and arranged a driver/guide for our trip up to the mountains. Quiet location, maybe a little far from the action, but depends what you are after.

Just stayed two weeks at Mahala Hasa Villas for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! The room and amenities are just as you see online and the staff is even better! The villa was clean and comfortable, had great AC, the kitchen area has our own cold filtered water machine which was great, and the pool was perfect. The villas had complementary shuttle rides into the main town area which we took advantage of daily! The staff was helpful, knowledgable, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They also showed us a short cut to the beach. My husband got a massage through the villas which he said was great, and our daily breakfast was perfect for starting the day. All in all, it was a great trip and we would be happy to stay at Mahala Hasa Villas again! Thanks!
"Lovely Villa Accommodation"

We had a lovely stay in this relatively peaceful location. The outdoor lounge and kitchen next to the private pool was a great arrangement with a very comfortable bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Nice up to date Bose docking system for Apple devices installed. No sign of the mozzies that one of the other reviewers was bothered with. Breakfast was ok - not flash. Ask for Balinese coffee - it is much better than the Nescafe on offer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only a short walk to the beach - staff helpfully guide you there the first time - down the lane and through temple grounds - ok, except at night - best to take advantage of cheap taxis and go home the long way.

My partner and I were a little wary of this place when we were driving to it as the driver had no idea where he was going and it was quite hard to find, and it's up a dirt road a little way from the main streets. However, on arrival the staff were extremely friendly, and so welcoming. Our room was ready and waiting for us and we were greeted with a lovely refreshing drink. The room was great. We had villa number 1 and although it was quite a trek from the front desk we weren't to bothered by it as we had our own private pool and really, what more could you ask for? The room had air conditioning which worked a treat and helped us sleep at night. Each afternoon/evening when we arrived home there were mosquito coils burning both downstairs and upstairs. Beds were freshly made every day, one day we even had a cute little elephant made out of towels. The staff called you every morning to let you know that your breakfast was on the way down or if your driver was there to pick you up. The only downside I had was that there were quite a lot of mosquitoes, but this is to be expected at any location in the climate we were in. Plus I am prone to bites as mosquitoes seem to love me so I didn't let that ruin my stay. All in all my partner and I enjoyed our stay at these villas and would definitely stay there again. Even though it was away from the main streets and shops that' what made it so relaxing and quiet. There weren't thousands of people running in and out of the villas causing a racket and such. It was a great way to end our trip!!!
The guys at Mahala Hasa were incredible. Nothing was too much or too little. Always helping us out with taxis or dropping us into town with the hotel cars. The accommodation was superb, 5 minute walk to Seminyak and Echo Beaches. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of entertainment at our finger tips. I cannot recommend Mahala Hasa and their staff more highly. Thank you for a wonderful holiday - we will be back!
