The B&B is on a very busy street with difficulty to cross the street. With the close proximity to the street the noise level is very high at night. The owners are very nice and provide a good breakfast. The house overall needs some TLC. The bathroom needs new calking around tub. The location of the B&B was convienent for our business meeting but when […] we return we will not stay there again. The price of the stay is not a good bargain for the minimum amenities at the house. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Granville House B&B Thank you for staying with us, and we appreciate all feedback. The amenities that are all included in our rates are: WiFi, off street parking, bottled water, locally made spa amenities by Purely Saltspring, phone calls (to anywhere in North America), full breakfast, 8 organic teas and fresh fruit, all included even with the deepest winter discount you enjoyed ; ) You can safely cross the street at the light on West 33rd one block away (by car or on foot), and our location on Granville St makes a very quick trip to getting downtown or the airport in minutes. Thanks for complimenting our breakfast and ourselves, we love what we do and appreciate all of our guests! Pam & Randy
Fantastic! Staff were so accommodating! They allowed me to keep my luggage there for the day when I checked out, and were willing to help with absolutely anything I needed! Would definitely come back in future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Response by Granville House B&B Thank you so much Rosemary, it was great having you! We are also on a bus route that can take you downtown in 10 minutes in case you don't have a car, very easy to get around!

This was a cut above the normal type of experience that I am used to when staying away form home on business. The eye for detail and the passion for excellence that was apparent throughout my week stay was simply superb... the luxurious standard of accommodation, easy and secure access and lovely breakfast service... I honestly can't fault anything about my stay... it was the WOW factor !

The Granville House B & B in Vancouver is a rare find. The owners/managers' attention to detail combined with a relaxed and warm atmosphere made our first visit to Vancouver a delight. The breakfast includes a hot entree and the owners offer many tips to enhance one's time in Vancouver.
"The ONLY place to stay in Vancouver!"

This was our second stay at Granville House B&B and we would head back in a heartbeat. The hosts Pam & Randy are fantastic. The breakfasts are lovely and the accommodations are beyond clean and comfortable. Pam & Randy treat all their guests with warmth and professionalism. They go the extra mile to suggest restaurants and fun destinations in and around Vancouver. A must stay B&B!!!

Granville B&B is in an excellent location for Vancouver, the surrounding area and the airport. The room we had was spacious, well appointed and very clean. Breakfast is good as well. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. If you are going to Vancouver look no further for accommodation this is the place to stay. Thanks Pam and Randy

We found this B&B lacking in many areas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location is handy to downtown Vancouver. Entering the property from the back presented several problems for us. The paved walkway became stepping stones at the side and front of the house. They were difficult to walk on and had poor night lighting. The hedge along the side and front encroached on the walkway adding to the difficulty. Our elderly mother found the walk especially difficult and there was not enough space for one of us to assist her. The buffet breakfast was far below B&B standards! While staff were courteous and helpful in meeting specific dietary needs the overall quality of food was adequate at best. During our stay we noticed several maintenance issues. The air conditioning system was not functioning well and there was no control for individual rooms. The front of the house was very noisy from traffic, less so in the back. Small plumbing or electrical problems were evident in all of the three rooms our party occupied. Granville House does not live up to its advertised ratings! The trip advisor 4.5 award for 2014, in this case, is misleading. Granville House functions more as a boutique hotel than a B&B. The high season rates charged do not give you value for your money. This is the first negative review we have ever written for Trip Advisor. We will never stay here again and do not recommend this B&B to others.
"Very accommodating staff!!"

We stayed in the Alder Suite - very nice room! I would however suggest a coffee table in front of the couch for convenience and there is room for one as well. Outside of that, the room was very comfortable and the staff is excellent!!
"My poor feet!"

We stayed at the Granville House B&B on a loop tour of the Pacific Northwest. A few things that we did not particularly enjoy were the "shoes off" policy which we found odd (there's a dog in the house) and inconvenient. In addition the house is also located on a very busy street. Our room was on the street side and it was extremely noisy. It was also quite warm in our room and the home does not have air conditioning.
"Beautiful B&B - Fabulous Hosts"

Granville House was our first stop on a 10 day Western Canada self drive tour. We arrived in Vancouver early in the morning and were able to drop off our bags and leave our vehicle at the B&B long before check-in so we could take the conveniently located public transit downtown. The accommodation was beautiful and our hosts, Pam & Randy, and their staff were very helpful in providing great travel tips. The breakfasts were wonderful. We stayed 2 nights and would highly recommend this lovely B&B.
"Lovely pre-cruise stay"

This was our first visit to Vancouver, and we stayed 2 nights prior to a cruise. We arrived quite late due to a late and delayed flight, so the room codes were helpful. My only complaint was how dark the road was, and how hard of a time we had finding the place. We circled the same few houses at least 3 times trying to read house numbers in the dark. This is really no fault to the B&B, but I wish the sign had been lit or possibly in front of the house. We thought maybe a lit sign was not allowed due to some ordinance, but if at all possible it would be very helpful to newcomers. Despite our frustrating start, we found the place very lovely. The bedsheets had to be the softest I've ever felt, and the bed was fine. It was cozy, if not a bit warm the first night. Luckily I'm cold natured, but I could see how this could be a problem for people who get hot easily. The ceiling fan was a lifesaver. The second night was much cooler, so I suppose another guest had said something about the temperature. Overall we were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. This, of course, is coming from someone who eats ordinary cereal every morning. I did have some granola, but also a wonderful egg white frittata with goat cheese and peppers, and a banana muffin. This first breakfast was one of my favorite meals of the whole vacation (cruise included). The second breakfast was also good, but we missed the banana muffins this time. The hosts were friendly, but not overwhelmingly chatty. This was our first B&B experience, so I wasn't sure what to expect. If you are shy by nature as I am, you will not feel pressured to chat too much. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. It wasn't too far from town, and we enjoyed trying out the B&B experience.
