"Good value for money"
Very good value for money with a great location. Not a luxurious one at all, but having all of the necessities.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok for one night only"
I only wish Id read the reviews prior to making my booking. To be fair the place looks pretty modern and clean although it is more a hostel than hotel. The rooms are tiny, bed was comfortable but a little small for me (Im 5'11") and my feet were hanging over the end. The noise from the street makes it hard to sleep and the area is not suitable for families, […] not that a family would fit in the rooms. Overall ok for a single person to stay one night in the centre of the la ramblas Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Absolutely not what we expected!"

Thank god we only stayed one night in this place. Raval Rooms should definitely not be listed under the "Hotel" category, but rather under "Hostel". It's located in the middle of the mid-east quarter, surrounded by strange shops, no elevator till the first floor, then strange reception and last but not least an elevator which does about 0.000001 miles/h... Rooms very, very small, dirty, very unpersonal breakfast room. Other than that, you get a discount at the parking garage which is located a few meters before the hotel. And since we were down-graded (which they didn't tell us when we checked in), we received €15 back at check-out. Never again!

Nice location, near to Las Rambles , staff ok. Value for money, very clean and with nice facilities for a 2 star hostel . The breakfast offered was basically a toasty . Good choice if you want to have a room in the la rambles area and close to to the metro stations ,bars, shops The area which it is in might not look good , but its ok - . Would recommend a night in the black sheep (L,Ovella Niegra) . Overall a good weekend for the Formula 1 / city break Stayed May 2014, travelled with friends

Room tiny. Bathroom smelled like urine. Long climb to reception. No telephone. On a two week trip this was the worst room but the highest price. Location good close to Rival Rambles. Staff great. Very helpful. Room clean. Beds ok. Would not stay here again. Must be a better room for almost 200 euros per night.

Nice location, near to Las Rambles , polite and helpful staff. Value for money, very clean and with nice facilities for a 2 star hostel . The breakfast offered was simple but good. Great choice if you want to have a room in the Centre of the city in walking distances to the metro stations and main streets. The area which is located might not look good , but its ok - nothing to worry about.
"Simple clean inexpensive convenient"

I stayed for four nights, wanting a location that is central and convenient- it is about 10 minutes walk to Placa Catalunya which isn't bad. I had meetings to attend- so it served me well. The neighbourhood has become quite ethnic, less Spanish. My taxi driver warned me to be very careful at night "muy conflicto", but I didn't feel threatened. The rooms are simple, clean, effective. Good shower. Internet was reliable- and that's important! The breakfast is pretty simple (they call that bread?) but is sufficient. Service was very friendly, spoke good English, and the hotel overall represents very good value.
"Nice place to stay "

We were booked for 4 nights. The place was very easy to find, 2 tube stations in walking distance. Perfect location - 3 minutes from the main street. Very easy transfer from the airport - A2/A1 bus to Lacorunia and then 5-7 min walk. Breakfast room was small but nice and clean. We got a room on 3rd floor, not facing the street. The room is big enough for 2. A/C was OK. Clean and warm. There are lots of stairs to the top floors, but there is a lift. Very nice top floor terrace. Nice and helpful staff. Highly recommended place - specially if you want to be at the hard of the city. Anyway this is only 2** property ,so don't expect 5** quality. Comparing price and quality - very good value for the money.
"NOT to come back"

In a short, the cleaningless of the rooms was surprisingly good, breakfast- not bad. If you want to sleep well,do not take a room by the street, it's really loudy. The most disappointing was the reception (the girl)... She seems to be completely unprofesional and careless about the clients.
"A very nice place to stay in Barcelona!"

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and this place had everything we needed. It's located in a quiet residential area, with many family-owned shops and grocery stores. However, it only takes a 7 minute walk to get you to La Rambla, and then to most major tourist attractions. So it's good if you want to enjoy the nightlife or to get a good night's sleep. Our room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and the A/C and TV worked fine. It had a small balcony with large wooden doors. The only problem was that we couldn't always get wifi signal in our room (we were told this was due to the Reyes holiday), but we didn't mind as that meant we could spend some time in the the breakfast room, which was adjacent to a small terrace with a tree and some benches. The breakfast itself is continental style, with the added ingredients necessary to make pan con tomat :) The staff are multi-lingual and very professional and helpful. They seem to really care that you're enjoying your stay - this really makes a difference in a city with so many options. We'll definitely go back if we get the chance!

Smaller than a shoebox!! Sheet were not changed at checkin. Hairs and fluid stains in the bed. Insects. Internet doesn't work from the room. Elevator is a joke. Staff weren't helpful or interested in customer service. It is not Spanish operated or owned. A very big disappointment..
"A basic but very comfortable 2* in a great location!"
A group of us stayed here for two nights, and im happy to say, had a great stay. The area is in the old town, and we were a little apprehensive-but dont be fooled into stereotyping if you were expecting a grand entrance in a big cosmopolitan city, this is building that goes back! The hotel has LOTS of stairs, but after the first time, its not a problem. The staff here took over from another hotel just six months ago, and are multilingual and super friendly. They clean this place from top to bottom EVERY day. The beds are very comfy, rooms are perfectly fitted,if a little on the small side, and its quiet, so you do get sleep! Its a 2# and they are currently changing the photos of their rooms as it does make them look a little bigger than they actually are (kudos to that photographer!) BUT theyre not tiny tiny, you can still walk around the bed!! There are two fab terraces, one on the roof and one smaller one next to the breakfast room with a zen style, perfect for chilling out on if youre feeling lazy. Location wise-its fab. You can EASILY walk to Plaza de Catalunya in ten-fifteen minutes where all the tourists bus' go from, and Las Ramblas is 5mins and takes you either way. There are lots and lots of places to eat all around, youre spoilt for choice. If you want to explore Barcelona, without the hassle or cost of a big hotel chain or noisy hostel, want the option to stay in and chill out, and have a nice room with free wifi (!) Friendly staff, then this is an all round little gem of a find. Just dont think of this place as a crappy 2* hotel, its a really good hostel with stylish accents for all ages! Id come back, for sure!
