"Always a good place!"
03/09/14 Katanga_Man Lusaka, Zambia
Have not been there for a while but had a conversation about Nigi's a few days ago. In earlier days Boracay was a lot more "earthier" and Nigi's fitted in splendidly with the atmosphere. It has managed to maintain a very good standard. Highly recommended and get the T-shirt....for when you work out the meaning of the name.
"Good bar, good location, low maintenance"
We stayed 3 friends at the hotel, 5 nights. Altogether, we enjoyed the island very much. The hotel is located at a very good place. On the beach, yet, far enough from the music clubs, so it is quiet at night. The room had 2 floors. Living room on the bottom floor and beds on the top floor. Very spacious. The hotel bar is probably the best place in the island to sit, so many people come from all around. The downside of the hotel is the maintenance. The airconditioning in the room hardly does anything. However, it is very noisy. The wifi was terrible. It disconnects all the time and refuses to connect a lot of times. This is not expected from a relatively expensive place.

During our vacation In Boracay my daughter accidentally step on a sea urchin while swimming in the beach. The staffs of the Nigi Nigi Nu Noos immediately gave assistance since the incident happened near their front. They provided first aid, information, drinking water and comforting words without consideration if we are their guest or not. I tried to thank them by way of offering money for their trouble but they would not accept, they said that it is their pleasure to serve all visitors of Boracay both locals or foreigners. Truly the bayanihan spirit is alive in the people of Boracay. Maraming Salamat Po Nigi Nigi Nu Noos Staffs.
"More than impressive"

The frontage is not impressive, but when inside the room, I did not realize I am in the action-packed Boracay. Room is very spacious and looks new. It has a nice veranda facing a lush garden. Staff are very welcoming and warm. The bath water heater did not delivered my expectation though. I had only breakfast (included on our rate) and it was okay - not superb. They have lovely coffee. The resort is located in Station 2, the cheaper strip. More people, more fun.
"EXCELLANT Choice to stay."

After checking trip advisor and numerous hotels and resorts along white beach, we decided to stay at Nigi Nigi's. What an awesome choice. My husband and I are both mid twenties and this place had such an awesome vibe. It's position on the beach was superb, the restaurant where we ate breakfast every morning was divine - it had a great selection of food and a stunning view. Staff are incredible, always trying to help and are oh so polite. My husband struck up a friendship with Lewis (barman) and he got us some great deals on tours and he made sure we got the best price when organising sailing boats etc. We paid alot less than the other tourists - we know this because when we asked they told us 3times the amount we paid. The rooms were basic, clean, had great aircon and a fridge that kept beverages ice cold. What more could you want?! I love this resort - we will be back for sure!
"Not my cup of tea"

The rooms: we had a bit of a mosquito infestation! We couldn't have a mosquito net because it was a new room and no hook had been put on the ceiling so each night we had to do a Baygon fumigation and leave the room to settle of fumes... not great being pregnant. There is no kettle to boil water or make a cup of tea, and you only get 2 x 300ml bottles of water complimentary each day which really was only enough to clean your teeth. Air-conditioning was pretty good, but no fly screens on doors or windows meant no fresh air due to Mosquitos again. Make sure you take aero guard or similar with you. No hair dryer, no toiletries other than soap. Rooms are reasonably clean, bathrooms are a VERY tired but clean. Very little hot water. Only really able to get Luke warm or tepid water from the shower. The people: nice enough but very little interaction between the staff and guests. The food: I wasn't impressed with the food. The omelette I ordered on the first morning was still runny so stuck to the cold toast.but at least it isn't a buffet. Next morning tried a plain omelette and it was cooked through but little to write home about. The drinks: I was pregnant on this trip so I can't comment but the cocktails were apparently quite good. They have a juice bar so we were able to have freshly squeezed OJ, pineapple or mango juice each morning. The beach sand near NNNN is only ok. Nothing on home. Unfortunately you are constantly bothered by locals wanting to sell you something and there isn't anything relaxing about sitting at the beach when you have music pumping at the nearby bar from morning hours. It wasn't really the relaxing, read a book, swimming holiday. In addition, the water was full of green algae which meant I wasn't swimming. Further along the beach at station 1 the beach sand and water was great... the most amazing sand - almost like flour, and the water was perfect and algae free so that was the place to be! Added extras: we booked through booking.com which claimed that a hair dryer, toiletries etc were provided when in fact they were not. We had to go shopping for shampoo and I couldn't do hair when we had come for a wedding... Result: we checked out early and moved into station 1 where the place had a pool, exceptional service and the perfect beach that we had expected on arrival, toiletries, hair dryer and so much more....
"Don't think twice!"

Me and my husband just returned from our Boracay holiday yesterday. The staff at Nigi Nigi, specially at reception, were very pleasant, friendly and attentive. They have a safe in reception in case you are too worried about things missing. I left some valuable items in our room but we had no problems at all! The room was very clean and location was great. Very lively resort but rest assured you will have a good nights sleep. This place is a 5 out of 5. Definitely staying there again.
"what a great place"

this was husbands and mines 3rd time staying here at Nigi's.Its right on the beach and central for everything in Boracay. Staff are great, expecially the bar staff, very attentive. Rooms are good, clean with air-con. Building work going on this time, but started after 9am so not too disturbing. Clean towels and sheets daily, fresh bottled water to your "hut" too. Its a fab place to stay.
