"Best place to stay in Coyoacan area"
The place was as charming as is described, the two hotel staff, Marco and Lulu were very helpful and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The location was a plus since we were able to walk from Casa Piedra to San Angel, and back to Coyoacan plaza. it's like being at home away from from. I will recommend this place to friends and family. […] Many thanks to Juan Manuel for working on confirming our reservation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Casa Piedra Not What you think"
The location is in the middle of a very dicey neighborhood, so you have to get a cab to "stroll the quaint cobblestone streets." I understand the new owner has just been in business for 3 months, but she depends too much on her manager, who seems to be in charge of everything. We had to ask for our room keys, the safe in room was never explained, breakfast […] was nice, but we had no idea what was being served until it arrived. Our room had stains on carpet, and stains in bathroom marble. I didn't realize until the next morning my husband's sheets had dried blood on them (Not His). The bathroom woodwork was in need of complete refurbishment. For this price, we could have stayed somewhere much nicer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The good, the bad, the ugly"
04/13/14 Ed A
The Good - beautiful house and grounds; public rooms, patios, vistas, quiet in the middle of the city, breakfasts, staff. Linens on beds were great The Bad - no sign identifying B&B on front wall; there was a paper sign saying the property was closed! Many, many steps up to the place near entrance where the pictures on website were taken. That would be a huge problem for anyone with a disability. Fortunately, the young man in charge took our luggage up! We were told one night as the staff person left that we would be the only people in the building until morning; to our surprise and relief, there was another couple there. Bath towels huge and heavy. The Ugly - Our room was dated; needed refreshing,. Ugly spots on our room's carpet, poor lighting in the bedroom, scratches/gouges on bathroom cabinet .
"Feels like being at home"
I spent here almost a week and a half with some colleagues and I would do it again. Manu runs the hotel and comes by everyday to make sure everything is running smoothly and that he gets to know you. Marco and Lulu run it operationally and they just want you to be satisfied... and they do it very well! Starting from the querky, spacious, orginally decorated rooms, continuing with the freedom the house gives you, and the lovely breakfast you will have made with Mexican produce. All in all is a pleasure. You have to bear in mind that is a reconverted mansion so no gym or launderette but they will offer you to take the laundry to the next´s door one. Also it has an outdoor jacuzzi! Very lovely surrounding, ideal for a short trip!

I was so happy with my decision to stay at Casa Piedra for two nights in January. I was taking a short 2-day writing retreat and was traveling by myself. The pictures online looked nice and I was not disappointed-- the property and rooms are just as lovely as the images present. And the service and breakfasts are excellent. I would come back with friends, with family, or by myself again. I'm so glad to know about this place. My bed was so comfortable and the room beautifully decorated. The gardens throughout the property are very charming. There is free wifi and it worked well for me in my room. It's in a residential neighborhood in Coyoacan. A 15-20 minute walk to the centro de Coyoacan, through a lovely neighborhood. If you stay there, consider dinner at La Pause one night, just a few blocks away.

Great Place to stay! service and facilities are excellent, and it is located in a great neighborhood. Very unique! Very close to subway and bus stations, each room is different, and very peaceful and comfortable.

Lovely place, 4 rooms, really nice and comfortable. Quiet area. Breakfast homemade, delicious with typical mexican food different each morning. Close from metro and buses. Situated in Coyoacan, very nice district in South of Mexico.

I felt like i was in my own house that i have never had. The house is beautiful, the art in the house is beautiful, the quiet is outstanding it's like you are in the middle of a forrest but in 3 minutes you are in the heart of the beautiful Coyoacan. The food is organic and excellent. The best place i'ever been in Mexico city

This is a beautiful mansion turned into the coziest & most luxurious bed&breakfast I've ever been to! It's located in the colonial neighborhood of Coyoacan and close to many delicious restaurants and fun sites. We spent a whole weekend there and had the most relaxing time. Breakfast was delicious too! Can't wait to go back!

A real home, just transformed in a 4 room hotel. The location is great in one of the best barrios of Mexico, which has very few hotels. It is very homely, with a great terrace and decoration. Breakfast is simple but cooked at the moment, and the large eating table makes the experience even more familiar. Mucha suerte, la mereceis!
"Tranquilo y bien ubicado"

"Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage"
03/10/14 360Lisa Vienna, Austria
