"Really good break, made to feel really comfortable"
We had booked 2 nights family room accommodation in the hotel for skiing. AT the time of the booking we did not seen that dogs were not allowed in the hotel/ When we contacted the hotel instead of this being a problem we were upgraded into the apartments that are next to the hotel and enjoyed a large family apartment with small kitchen. The apartment was in the same style and was incredible comfortable. They are brand new and perfect for a skiing trip and our teenage kids could ski directly onto the slopes, whilst we took it at a more relaxed pace and enjoyed the cosy hotel restaurant which served good food/drinks at reasonable prices. Was a really nice break and we will visit again in the spring.

"Great potential if you get better of the six rooms"
Your experience will depend entirely on which room you will get. We started in a room, from which you couldn't see the sky, just hill two mitres away from the window. Also the room absorbed all the smells front eh kitchen below, which wasn't great. We then managed to move to another room - great views of the valley and mountains beyond. So, two completely opposite experiences from only a few days stay. The only constantly positive and happy "feature" was Segelene - always cheerful and helpful! If not for her, we would straggle to get from the hotel to the main road - the previous day's snow was making it impossible to drive. Unlike other staff of the hotel, she literally helped to dig the car out of the snow! Surely the hotel set in the high mountains should make arrangements with the local council to keep the access roads clear of heavy snow?!

"Homely and quirky"
A most pleasant stay for a 3 night ski trip with my family. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were attentive and engaging. The large open fire in the dining room / lounge welcomed us every morning and every afternoon after skiing. The size of the hotel made it feel like a home from home and the quirky decor was a welcome break from the usual hotel look. With the location next to the ski lift it made for a quick get away in the morning and quick return for lunch and for the little ones to have a break from lessons.

"a unique experience"
We visited in October. The weather was quite cold already. The rooms were a bit cold during nights but sufficient stuff to keep you warm and cosy. The location and ambience was amazing. Except for a few things like a dead scorpion floating on the sauna Japanese pool, and a few misinterpretations in service, the place is just very unique and amazing

"Stepping into the soul of nature"
01/11/16 ibizafans
We got triggered by the pictures and the not standard design and finally fell for the overwhelming friendly atmosphere. The idea to remake an old ski snack house into a design boutique hotel is daring. But the owners succeeded very well. If you have some concious for the environment, this is a perfect demonstration how to recycle nature into a new life. We had an inspiring time, booked the private sauna and had a good evening meal with great wine. Special mention for hostess Mahsan; a great person with a perfect sense for service. We recommend the Green ecolodge experience.

"Wonderful Skiing, A Great Long Weekend"
09/04/15 Secret R New York City, New York
This past July, my husband and I visited the south of France for a short ski trip in the Alpes Cote de Azur. We had the pleasure of staying in the Green Eco Lodge, which was truly a uniquely inspiring experience. The entire hotel is dedicated to preserving the environment, and they have not overlooked a thing! It seemed that they had a planet-friendly, eco-conscious green product for just about everything going on at the lodge. The staff was friendly and super welcoming, and there was always an English speaker around, (which was great because we don’t speak French AT ALL.) The food was amazing, an Irish guy name George was the chef and his roasted duck was unforgettable, my mouth is watering all over again. As if it couldn’t get any better, the place is literally a stone’s throw from the ski station in Isola, which made it super convenient for our shorter style trip.

"Big cheat"
09/26/14 charley818 Geneva, Switzerland
We have never come across such a poor "4star" hotel. The location may be peaceful, but it right next to a telesiege. The view from the room was appalling, a big rubbish heap, leftover building materials etc. Nothing "green" about this. The hotel does have some original green ideas, but that's about it. The food is OK, but not worth mentioning and definitely not worth a 4 star hotel. Wine list non existing. If one reads the hotel website and experiences the reality, then one realizes that the writer had his head in the clouds.

"Delicious Restaurant, Tasteful interior."

We had a marvelous time in this well designed Hotel, and a DELICIOUS dinner at the unique, lovely Restaurant. The well decorated rooms inside and the classy restaurant come at a considerable cost, but it was well worth the price, we enjoyed every minute. In particular we liked the well balanced design of tasteful interior, and the nature around the Hotel.

"Great moment in Nature"
03/26/12 Mathew L London, United Kingdom
I've come to the Colmiane because a friend of mine advises me to go there for peaceful time in nature. Well, I wasn't disappointed: the nature around the hotel is amazing. About the hotel, I was a little bit suspicious after what I read on TripAdvisor, but honestly this is a very charming place, the room are nice (well decorated with natural element). I had the chance to speak to the owner that speak very good English (which is definitely good point for french people !). The restaurant is good, nothing amazing but still good for the quality/price rate. I choose to put 4 stars on 5, because the place isn't perfect obviously but it's still an amazing peaceful moment to spent in the nature with warm and welcoming people. I will definitely go back one day!

"An excellent place to spend your holiday"
12/14/11 Matei B Bucharest, Romania
I traveled with my girlfriend there this autumn, on our way to Cannes. The area is very beautiful, quiet and a very good spot to relax while on the road. I also like how the interior was designed, as it fits well with the location and the surroundings. It's a good place to have an evening walk. We arrived late in the evening, but we were welcomed nicely, we even had the pleasant surprise of tasting a free glass of wine. We were showed to our room, which was perfect for us. Unfortunately, we were tired and we already ate before we got there, so there is little I can say about the service, but we were satisfied. In the morning we had breakfast and went on our way, but I would like to go back to visit the place in the winter.

"Eco - really??"
12/01/11 lizspacebetween Nice, France
We live in the area and were pleased that an old hotel by the ski lifts, had been given a potential new lease of life. However the "design" rooms inside and the fancy restaurant come at a considerable cost and it all seems rather a stage set....the area is beautiful - the location of the hotel not so....we were rather put off exploring any further by paying €3.50 each on the terrace - by the clanking luge lifts - for two Heinekens out of the bottle - no glass offer...pretensions of the Savoie perhaps - without the delivery. Depends what you are looking for and what you are used to paying!!
