"very convenient location"
the breakfast was great and the location is super. Go to the Astoria Music festival next year. Very high quality and unusual repertoire.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This B&B is very comfortable, has a great breakfast, and a great view. Nearly everything one would want to do is within walking distance. or close to the trolley line. The outside is greatly in need of a paint job, but the interior is charming and clean. The hostess(owner) is very very friendly and .gracious. This was our second stay and we will stay […] there n our next trip. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Within easy walking distance to the opening"
Definitely will go back! B&B is about 4 short blocks (downhill) to the old town galleries and restaurants. Hostess greets you like old friends. Breakfast is tasty and more than what I usually eat. It's a 1920s Victorian, so rooms are the smaller size that you would expect for a building of that period. Decor matches the architecture. Meeting other guests […] (from all over the world) at breakfast is part of the allure. Has wifi & a small tv in the room, but you'll probably be out & about seeing the sights most of the time. "Wonderful people, great location!"
We don't stay at a lot of hotels or B&Bs, but wanted to try something different, and Astoria was about the right distance from home. The place is nicely done, the owners were great, and were proud to talk about the history of the house and surroundings. The room was clean and nice, although showering in a claw foot tub was a bit odd (no place to put […] your soap when the curtain is closed?). Despite that small oddity, we really enjoyed the stay, enjoyed the hospitality, and there were great restaurants just 3 or 4 blocks from here - we went to a brewpub called the Wet Dog - that was great as well! We would gladly go here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Due to sewer construction, one could see the B&B but had quite a time navigating to it. The Starlight room had a nice view of the river and all though dated, the innkeepers kept the place clean. The breakfast was very good and we visit again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Owner is helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The "Majestic" has a small, but well-equipped, kitchen & a nice balcony. Would be great for a multi-night stay. The decor is Victorian & flowery - consistent with the age of the house. No air/con (as you would expect), but a good fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not worth the money"
Very expensive and literally no service. Breakfast was a joke. Bisquick pancakes and a sausage patty and a fruit cup. The room was ok. We saw the owners at check in and breakfast...that was it. We've had better experiences at much less expensive B&B's.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Home away from home with elegance and charm"
I loved my stay at the Franklin Street District Bed and Breakfast. I had the top floor Starlight Suite with a sitting area to view the Columbia River. The room was decorated with Victorian elegance and charm and so cozy and inviting I did not want to leave. The breakfast was wonderful and you could make special requests for dietary restrictions. I will […] definately go back and enjoy a longer stay. The innkeeper was very accommodating and friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very handy to down town area"
Room was small but clean. Very friendly help. For a B&B the breakfast was very basic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"wonderful place to stay"

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and the Starlight room was neat and very clean. Becky is so nice and the food was excellent. Had fresh fruit with our breakfast and fruit was so tasty. We could watch all the ships coming in and going out of Astoria from our big window. Neighborhood is quiet. This bed & breakfast is right downtown so you can walk and explore all the shops. Plenty of eating establishments to choose from. Would go back and stay at this bed and breakfast again.

This B&B was pleasant and nice. It is a very easy walk to the river walk and downtown shops and restaurants. The people were friendly. They only made breakfast at 8:30 and 9:30. We had to leave early our last day, and they would not even leave us some things to go in a bag. The bed was too hard for my taste, with only a foam topper. The room has a small clawfoot tub with a shower. The heat was somewhat irregular. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
"Very nice B&B"

Stayed in August, nice quiet side street but within walking distance to local downtown area, lovely room and great breakfast. Would stay again. Don't remember the name of the room, but it was top of the staircase to the left with a view out the back of the house from balcony.

My husband and I stayed with at the Franklin Street B&B and had a wonderful time. Becky, the owner, made us instantly feel at home. We stayed in the "Enchantment Room", which was small but very nice and clean. Breakfast was fresh fruit, along with pancakes and sausage. Delicious! The house sits just a couple of blocks off of the main street which makes it convenient to walk and then catch the trolley, if desired. Loved that the Wi-Fi worked throughout the house. If we end up back in Astoria, we would definitely stay here again.

This is a real bed and breakfast with comfortable rooms, friendly owners, good breakfast and warm charm. It is not high end fancy schmancy. Just nice rooms, some with great views of the town and river. Ours had a canopy bed, kitchenette, nice bathroom with shower. The owners are great about providing advice and maps of the area.
"Quirky place, great location"

We stayed here just a few weeks ago and had a pretty good time. The location is pretty much perfect. You are within walking distance to many things and on Sundays you're right at the entrance of the open street market. The owner was suuuper nice and very friendly. I can't remember the name of the room we stayed in, but it was on the top floor. Very comfortable! Slept great and had plenty of room for everything as it's large enough to have it's own bathroom, couch, sink, fridge and seating area. The only bothersome things were that at 10pm on a Saturday, speaking at a normal volume was enough to bother either one of the other guests or someone who worked there. We didn't feel we were being too loud at all and were speaking to eachother at the same volume we would at home. Also, everything in Astoria is expensive when it comes to places to stay so we paid more then we would've liked to. Breakfast in the morning consisted of sausage, pancakes and fruit. My main squeeze was kind of bummed that there was no bacon, but such is life. It was fun sitting at the breakfast table with the other guests as you got to know them and hear their stories.
"great location; otherwise average"

We stayed at this B and B for one night. The location was great; we were able to walk to most parts of the town including the renown Maritime museum. The room we stayed in was Sweet Tranquility; the room was clean (so were the towels etc.) and we felt that great care had been put into preparing the room for guests. The room was very small indeed. We had a hard time putting all of our pieces of luggage in the room with still space left to walk around. Our breakfast included fruit, pancake, syrup and a piece of disk shaped protein made of pork. Tea, coffee or juice were also available. Our host Becky was friendly and kind; she lent us her phone so that we could call our credit card company to straighten things out; it helped us with the rest of our trip.
"Beautiful Rooms, and Great Location"

We stayed in the majestic suite for one night. It has two bedrooms, a balcony, and a private bathroom. Pros: Off the main streets so there isn't a lot of traffic noise. Well decorated, cute furnishings, plenty of storage space or room to put luggage Queen beds were comfortable, and there was a small microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker in our room. Great place for couples, girl/bridal retreats Close to shops and restaurants, and a good walking area for looking at older homes Cons: Even though we had two separate rooms there wasn't a lot of "noise privacy", especially noticeable when using the bathroom, or if your next door neighbour has a cold. Travel with someone you are comfortable and could possibly get loud if neighbours are talkers (ours were not) Children won't hate it, but I wouldn't call it "family friendly". Louder kids my disrupt the other guests, and there isn't a pool or enough room for them to run around. But there are a few games and movies.

My sister and I stayed for several nights. We were looking for a B&B less than a week prior to our stay, and Astoria was pretty booked up. The Hideaway suite was about all that was left and as it turned out, it suited our needs perfectly. She enjoyed the comfy bedroom, and I was happy with the fold-out bed. It was nice to have a kitchen and table. WiFi was offered on request so I was able to use my laptop in the room. Decor is definitely "circa 1960s" but that just added to the fun & funky experience. Breakfast was tasty and our hostess was very gracious. We enjoyed being walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Astoria. Excellent value.
"Had a wonderful visit, quirky, fun, and great innkeepers"

My friend and I rented the basement efficiency during our visit. While not glamorous, it was clean, well kept and perfectly suited our needs. The bathroom was a little on the pink side, but the bed and futon were quite comfortable. Plus, we were a short walking distance from the main part of town, and close to the Astoria tower and Goonie's house. After a tasty dinner and beers at Astoria brewing company, Susan and I had a great evening chatting with the owners on the back porch, playing fetch with the adorable doggies. Such wonderful folks! Great sense of humor and great knowledge of Astoria's extensive history. It was like meeting up with old friends. There may be fancier hotels and inns in the area, but you can't beat the warm welcome at Franklin St. Loved every minute of the stay.
